Th Bulls a have double he F inncial support than the Sharks got,   The Bulls are funded by Rupert and Mot sepe  and they have more resources to recruit players than the Sharks has,

There sis on franchise that will neve ofe a job o Jake White it is the Sharks,    They employe h him as  Head Coach in 2014 and they soon discoered he was huge trouble,   After losing the first four matches the Shaks played in uper Rugby -  White turned against the Sharks captain amongst others  - even though the capain was not selected  to plsy in the first four matches.   The siuation was h e aaccused the captain of beeing against the Afrikaaans spaaking players and he picked his own favorites in the team that he would speak to regularly ssparate from the oher playes - his most favored player was Frans Steyn - who could not do anythig rong in his view,      

Thre were problems because  the Sharks spectators started to stay away from the Sharks home games bcause White insisted on a forward game plan  with neglect of the backline,    However the situation was that half the squad team had to sign contract extensions and when 16 of the conmtracted players - inclusive of the Du Plessis brothers  - refiused to sign while White wa Head Coach - so the Sharks Franchise was in deep trouble  and they gave White an option - either he resign or they would terminate his contract.

White ended up coaching Montpellier where the Du Plessis brother was heading in 2016.   The White contract was for two years renewable for another two years.    The firt year was successful and Montpeliier won the European Challenge Cup and was promoted  to play in the European champions Cup - where te eam w less sccessful and s a result  Montpellier refused to extend the Contract of White  and e move to Japan/    

When Rupert and Motsepe became the ownership of 74,5%  of the Bulls francise and made available a  firtne to contract playe and the hunt or a coach and ended up in appointing White as coach with the instruction to recruit players making available money for the purpose,   White was hiring loose forwards galore - but in the backline they only hitred Morne Steyn and Mapoe,    Motsepe and Rupert appointed Britz to look after their rugby interests,    The team was incomplete and further bckline players ere recruite on instruction of the two owners,

In 2023 reach the final and had to lay the Stormers in the final.   They lost the final and in 2024 they also reached  the final and had to play Glasgow at home in the final.  The  Bulls  lost again in a match they should have won.    White has a reputaion that his franhise team reach final stages in torunaments - but do not win trophies,

The problem is that in major games the Bulls g o back to a forward dominated game plan and that is why the Bulls lose in key matches, 

Well we all know the Bulls have as much spending power as the Sharks do - evidenced by the squad Jake has assembled
