Dear lord please let the Sharks play something worth watching.

Very B-team looking Sharks, meh.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:02

Howzit Paks

Apr 03, 2026, 21:02

good luck Stav

Apr 03, 2026, 21:05

Brisk start by everybody...

1st scrum up and. Sharks put in

Steady scrum and the Sharks play some territory

Apr 03, 2026, 21:05

Howzit Plum & Blob.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:06

Sharks draw first blood with a penalty. 3-0.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:07

Penalty Sharks and they go for 3

3-0 Sharks

Apr 03, 2026, 21:09

Morning evrybuddy

Apr 03, 2026, 21:11

Edwill with a great take to set up attacking position for the Sharks.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:13

Sharks maul not effective.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:14

my feed's slapgat. jus seen the penalty

never seen most of the guppies

Apr 03, 2026, 21:15

Sharks camping on the Connacht line but strong defence from the home team.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:15

Why the cutout to Edwill? Put it through the hands. Isolated and turned over. Pedestrian attack from the Sharks.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:17

Sharks turned over again.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:18

Our players just can't wait to kick the ball. Two kicks in one movement there.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:21

Finally some scrum dominance

Apr 03, 2026, 21:21

Sharks get another shot at goal . . . Jean Smith converts and it's 6-0.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:22

Sharks isolated into contact, no one cleaning out, result painfully slow ball.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:22

Vissies slot another 3

6-0

Apr 03, 2026, 21:23

Connacht on the attack for the first time and they score.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:24

That's how ya do it.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:24

And Connacht shows how it's done. Aki through a halfie, offload into space, pass wide, try.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:25

Con artists go over through Mullins

Nice offload by Aki there, great timing on it

Apr 03, 2026, 21:25

Looks like a lovely evening over there from that goal shot, makes me almost want to be there.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:26

Braun overdoing the break inside around the ruck.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:27

Same old Sharks with no attacking shape despite copious amounts of ball

Apr 03, 2026, 21:28

No rhythm from the Sharks, the old story. Slow hanging pass back to a dude who wasn't where he was supposed to be tanking the momentum, and when a productive offload finally comes from Koch it is knocked.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:29

Sharks making no meters in contact, Connacht dominating the collisions. Another knock.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:29

And the Sharks knock it

Apr 03, 2026, 21:30

Seems it doesn't matter which players the Sharks use, the game plan is non-existent.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:31

It's like watching a primary school side.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:32

Nice strong run by Mavesere and he cops a boot to his mouth for his efforts.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:32

Probably first time this team's played together

Apr 03, 2026, 21:33

Penalty Sharks and Smith kicks it over from half way. Back in the lead. 9-7.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:33

Nice penalty goal by Smith.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:33

Better ruck work from the Sharks and they draw a penalty...they're taking a shot from halfway...probably 55-60m on angle but he slots it

7-9 Shark

Apr 03, 2026, 21:34

Nice 50/22 there

a mega net gain

Apr 03, 2026, 21:35

Very nice kick from Smith and it's a 50/22. Sharks back on attack . . . no, there's a penalty instead. Was that for kicking the ball away? No matter, Smith slots it and it's 12-7.

Jean Smith keeping the Sharks in this.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:35

They slot another penalty

7-12 Sharks

Apr 03, 2026, 21:37

Smith looking better than Jordan has lately. 12-7 Sharks, Connacht will need to get their hands on the ball and keep it for a bit, they're being beaten by defensive penalties.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:38

Anyone looks better than Jordan . . . except his brother of course.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:38

Good work by Kunene coming in to shut down the space wide.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:39

Devine's boxies have been shit.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:40

Sharks get lucky after a few ricochets but then Mapimpi can't gather a regulation pass and it's out.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:40

Here comes the rain.

This should be interesting

Apr 03, 2026, 21:41

I only saw now from a wide shot that it's pouring with rain.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:41

Well apparently not such a lovely evening as it seemed to me earlier as the rain comes down.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:41

Nice pressure take by Gilbert there, in the rain

Apr 03, 2026, 21:43

Penalty for obstruction against Connacht is a bit harsh but I'll take it.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:44

Haha the Sharks bought that obstruction penalty there.

I don't agree with that call

Sharks go for the corner and will try to maul

Apr 03, 2026, 21:44

Tough obstruction call against Connacht.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:44

Half time. The scoreline flatters the Sharks who have largely been crap.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:44

They don't maul, and instead go to the backs and end up knocking it on

half time

Apr 03, 2026, 21:45

Looked like a bit of a knock on the ground by Edwill. And now they knock it anyway. Dire stuff from both sides.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:52

Also thought I saw a knock on.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:53

Connacht will have the wind behind them in the second half, usually worth a few points at the Sportsground. Connacht not great under the high ball, scum is starting to creak, but they have defended well and took their one chance well. Think I'd make them the marginal favourites despite the 5 point gap.

Apr 03, 2026, 21:55

Stav your guys need to kick as many high balls as possible in this half

Apr 03, 2026, 21:56

Not so sure about that Stav, the Sharks have some firepower to come off the bench . . . Ethan Hooker and Vincent Tshituka.

We also have a prop named Lee-Marvin Mazibuko on the bench. Be afraid.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:00

Mavesere shows good strength again.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:02

Sharks with momentum in Con's half and they choose to kick

Apr 03, 2026, 22:02

Eben penalised. He's been so anonymous I forgot he was on the field.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:03

Very scrappy from both teams. The rain has gone but I guess it's still very slippery.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:04

Connacht not looking much better than the Sharks out back.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:04

Where has this ref been all my life.

i like how he's handling things.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:04

Connacht get a penalty 10 out and go for the corner.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:05

"Very scrappy from both teams. The rain has gone but I guess it's still very slippery."

You'd think in this age of nano technology we could developed material for balls that becomes more grippy when wet.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:06

Connacht are in. Scores tied with the conversion to come.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:07

Cons over right under the posts

14-12 Con Artists

Apr 03, 2026, 22:07

Connacht over. 14-12 in the lead now. All started by a wing taking on the defense instead of booting the ball away, leading to a penalty which set up the opportunity.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:09

Shakes again kicking possession away when they have momentum

Apr 03, 2026, 22:11

And again...FFS!!!

What is wrong with this Sharks team?

Apr 03, 2026, 22:12

Apparently our sides know they're clueless about attacking so they just kick.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:13

Scrum to the Cons in the middle of the field, they get it out, break into the Sharks 22 and are on a penalty advantage...

They'll take 3 here

Apr 03, 2026, 22:13

Connacht winger knocks on with try line bgging . . . but it's advantage and they get the penalty.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:13

Big knock by Connacht with a man open on the edge.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:13

Stupid play and stupid game management from the Sharks

Apr 03, 2026, 22:14

Good pressure from Connacht and they're over again.

We need Lee Marvin.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:14

Mauls not working for either side.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:15

Well deserved try for Connacht bringing some productive rugby.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:15

And Con score another

If they slot the conversion they'll go 9 points clear...

nope

19-12 Con

Apr 03, 2026, 22:17

Great rip by Con and another good pass by Aki almost big trouble for the Sharks

Apr 03, 2026, 22:18

Hooker with a nice take from his opposite number.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:18

Hooker immediately making an impact

Apr 03, 2026, 22:18

Advantage ball and Braude just boots it straight to Connacht.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:18

Penalty Sharks and Smith will go for poles. He misses.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:19

Another fucking pointless kick from the Sharks...WTF!!!!!!!

but they back for the penalty and this'll shrink the lead to 4 if he gets it

nope

19-12 Cons

Apr 03, 2026, 22:20

Stav wasn't joking about the wind.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:20

Mdanda penalised for holding on.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:21

And now the sharks get rucked off the ball...to be fair, Con went past the ruck there right in front of the ref

Apr 03, 2026, 22:21

Pathetic defence from the Sharks and it's another try for Connacht.

Stav will be grinning.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:22

Con in again.

Haha 26-12

Apr 03, 2026, 22:23

I think that's enough for me.

Later dudes

#JPmustFALL

Apr 03, 2026, 22:23

Hooker charges it down and then tackles the man without the ball. Penalty Connacht.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:24

Had some stream hiccups, just in time to see Connacht score again. Potgieter missing a tackle Andre would never.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:25

LOL, Hooker smashed him. Some frustration in that hit.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:25

ouch ... 26-12

Apr 03, 2026, 22:26

Hooker does well to keep that in and then make it available but then it's hoofed away aimlessly.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:27

Jesus, kick, kick, kick.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:27

Now Masuku kicks it away.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:28

High tackle by Tshituka gives Connacht a penalty to take the game out of reach.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:29

It's over. 29-12 and that's almost certainly the game.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:30

Forde has had a good game for Connacht.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:31

SOS to Jake White, Sharkies.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:31

I've never heard of this scrummie Everson Ceano but he's already an improvement on Braude.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:32

17 down and still the Sharks kick.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:33

Sharks put a few phases together but then Smith fumbles and gets clattered in the tackle, Connacht get possession.

It's a tough job being a Sharks supporter. Spare a thought for me, I also support Tottenham Hotspur.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:34

LOL, three or four phases and then the Sharks kick it away.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:35

Credit to Connacht. They dominated the second half . . . as Stav predicted.

Well done Connacht. Shamus Double-Barrell is MotM.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:36

Wat 'n kakspul. Well done to your boys Stav and good half time call, good stuff in the second.

I'm off to bed. Sympathy, Rooi.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:38

Now Smith kicks it out on the full. It's a shambles.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:40

Full time 29-12. Well done Connacht.

Apr 03, 2026, 22:52

Sharks are never going win anything major without a global calendar. They don't have access to their full strength team often enough and there seconds are either not good enough or the coaches are not good enough to get enough out of theirs seconds to mount any sort of consistent challenge.

Think that's 5 wins out of 6 for Connacht in their last 6 encounter with the Sharks so for all their South African Galactico's they have on their roster Connacht have made them their bitches.

Apr 04, 2026, 00:34

Well done Stav ... our lot were an embarrassment

Apr 04, 2026, 01:49

Apr 04, 2026, 05:26

Glad i missed the shit show...

Apr 04, 2026, 07:59

What you missed Draad...

"Sharks get momentum as they break into Connacht's half. They rumble ahead and get past Connacht's 10m. Sharks kick the ball away"

Totally braindead.

Apr 04, 2026, 09:21

They don't have access to their full strength team often enough

It's just as shit as this one. Take Esterhuizen's influence out and there's nothing. They don't even know how to use him properly. Last game it took them almost the entire first half to give him one ball to run onto.

Imagine being 17 points down with 8 minutes to go and you're still kicking the ball to the opposition. What even is that?

Apr 04, 2026, 09:44

Ja. We tend to kind of blame coaches like Jake and Meyer for wanting to play how they do.

I've been guilty of slating Meyer.

But one has to wonder if they are not simply doing the best with what they have. There doesn't seem to be an understanding of what momentum's is and how to bring your backs in to capitalise on momentum. And it's not just the Sharks. It's a theme in our rugby.

We have pace, power and raw telnet but I swear lack about 20IQ points on average.

Apr 04, 2026, 12:58

Yestrday I WROTE THAT THE S harks ware abd travellers with what I call dosastrous hal-backs and centers,

I could not watch the whole game - but Etzebeth played and was what I would call insignificant,
