"Hope I get visuals."
What everybody says after they take shrooms...
Andre looking strong
Esterhuizen bulldozing over two and making 10m with his first touch.
Hello again Plummy.
Vissies looking full of fight
Sharks with the pickety go, Penxe knocks as Sharks go wide.
Howzit lads
Messy from the Sharks.
Hello Draad.
Leinster 8 runs way too far, Sharks get it, Esterhuizen to Mapimpi, Julius knocks the pop up from Mapimpi.
Cone on Sharks!
Let's show Leinster what happens to B teams!
Nice crowd.
Sharks need a lead because one has the feeling that Leinster will grow into the game
Dave's hero loses it in contact again
JJ ...
Julius almost gets on the outside of his man but then concedes a penalty for holding.
Now Jordan tries an impossible kick, partially charged, and then Penxe knocks in the pickup.
11 Minutes in and not much has happened.
Penxe is a liability at wing. He'll be even worse at fullback. When is Fassi back?
Leinster gets inside the Sharks rush and they're 5m out, chipping away.
Sharks defense good enough so far.
Jaden Hendrickse correctly yellow carded. What a dickhead. Where is Grant Williams?
Judge Hendrikse is becoming worse and worse every time I see him play.
Why the hell is Williams never starting?
Leinster score. Try by . . .who? McGurly?
Is something going to start happening soon, or...
Oh . . . McEarlen. Sounds like McGurly. LMAO!
Easy try for Leinster with the wide pass.
5-0 Leinster, 20th minute
Sharks can't hold on to it.
Cheers guys, gotta run...
Sharks playing without a scrumhalf and they actually look better. Proof that Jaden Hendrickse is worse than useless.
Mapimpi gets a break but Sharks then gets trapped way behind the advantage line. Esterhuizen hoists it as there's nothing else going on. Leinster has possession.
Plumtree said on the 20th Williams needs 2 or 3 weeks for a neck niggle so he may be back next week or the week after.
Penxe manages to get in the way of what would likely have been a scoring pass for Leinster.
Little blindside interplay between Jayden and Mapimpi but a Jayden boots it away. All for nothing.
Now Siya knocks on. Sharks handling has been poor.
Very telegraphed by the Sharks and Leinster intercepts.
Julius misses a tackle. Penxe knocks in contact. What is going on.
Sharks are terrible. No synergy.
Esterhuizen now gets them rumbling. Just short.
Much better play from the Sharks but they're penalized. Good contributions from Esterhuizen, Mapimpi and Julius.
LOL, 4 guys trying to get Esterhuizen down. Julius almost through. Sharks still not getting there. And now they dive in on the ruck and get penalized.
Sharks attack again but it's into touch and that's half time. Pretty forgettable first half,
Sharks with no ideas on attack while on Leinster's line.
Constantly passing to flat footed players, nobody getting front foot ball, zero planned plays.
Good work by Koch to secure a loose lineout ball. Now there's handbags, my feed caught a dip so I don't know what happened.
So far Mapimpi looking to get busy, Esterhuizen gets over the advantage line effectively, but too many errors and no real structure. Jordan is not running the game, looking bog average.
Sharks attacking under advantange. Julius makes good meters. Esterhuizen with a great pickup from his feet to feed Kolisi. And then Sharks concede a penalty for holding on. Lots of frantic stuff from one side to the other, hardly a meter made.
And Leinster score again.
All set up by lazy ruck work giving Leinster a penalty on halfway through a steal.
Conversion missed...
10-0
Leinster score and Frawley misses the simple conversion. 10-0 to Leinster.
Leinster appears to have scored while my feed was refreshing. Not a good look for the Sharks. 10-0.
Now the Sharks fumble their lineout ball. They get a penalty though.
More like ot Sharks. Boingi is over after an excellent maul.
Lekker Bongi!!!
long range maul and Bongi dives over near the posts.
This should be converted
10-7
Sharks finally score, Bongi off a strong maul.
The SA teams have been exiting poorly this weekend.
...and they knock on off the kick off.
Terrible knock off the kick off by Tshituka. Sharks under pressure. Their scrum saves them.
Hooker over but held up.
Sharks playing much better here. Julius passes to Hooker who is over but held up.
That side step from van Heerden took about 20 minutes.
It took so long for him to change direction that that he was risking been penalised for time wasting
Jaden knock on to destroy another attacking chance. Time for Bradley Davids. He can't do any worse. Bring on Masuku as well.
More errors as Jayden knocks it at the base of the ruck.
Jordan Hendrikse fluffs all the Sharks momentum with a pad that slips out of his hand.
He's been very average to today
Strong counter ruck by Esterhuizen gets the Sharks possession. Jordan's poor pass to Penxe stops it all and Sharks lose 20+ meters.
Masuku warming up
James Venter has biceps the size of my garage.
Sharks with a penalty around halfway...
And Jordan fails to kick it out.
bloody hell!!!!!!
Now Jordan misses touch with a penalty.
Second game in a row that both Hendrickse brothers are having shockers.
I'm getting the feeling my time would have been better spent elsewhere. No flow or momentum in this game.
Leinster's handling hasn't been much better than the Sharks.
Scrum to the Sharks in midfield . . . but only 5 mins to play.
Sharks are not clicking. A few decent passages of play, but it looks like a new team or a game plan that is not working
There's the final whistle. Well done Leinster. Poor from the Sharks.
Plumtree is having a heavyweight team hitting like featherweights. This team looks uncoached.
The Sharks famed bacjline was somewhere between non-attacking bar for Mapimpi and really nothing else, Their Defence was sound but ball skills were substandard,
I read the above praise songs about Esterhuizen and it is amusing, He made no real carrying of balls of any substace and went down in tackles quickly and made no real forward move and caused attacking opportunities The Sharks backline on the whole achieve zero in the game and Hooker showed again he is a far better wing than inside center,
Esterhuizen most successful carries in the side: 6
Esterhuizen most defenders beaten in the game: 6
But of course Ou Maaik will contend he did nothing of substance.
Distance gained 5 of what substance or is it 6 meters - tackles made 6 - not much and how many time did he not even attempt tackles or he missed? Still a very average franchise level performance. He is slow and very very average for an inside center on franchise level, .
If you can't even read, I really can't help you.
There isn’t a game where Andre Esterhuisen did not perform for the sharks.
He is also a performer on Bok level…the guy should get more Starts…
Uncle Romulan is biased and nothing he says about Esterhuisen is truthful.
I need to know why...why is Mike now called a Romulan?
Please don't let the explanation be a let down.
Anyway, Jayden Hendrikse is far too chilled out. I don't know if he's just unfit or if he's been told that he performs better when he takes things slow. Either way, I don't like it.
Faf had similar clearance speeds, but he brought a lot more to the game and that made up for his lack of speed. What does Hendrikse bring?
The Sharks actually looked like they didn't know what to do when they got the ball, and it's a theme these days with our sides.
It's like everybody got a big head after the WC and somehow feel that games win themselves. It's worrying because our teams look like without a scrum they have very little else that can win them games.
We used to be a forwards dominated country. And perhaps the zeitgeist is adapting to all the fleet footed players of colour that are now legitimately playing at the top level. A bit like the coaches think that these guys are so agile and quick that attacking structures aren't required for them to be successful on attack. Obviously that's not the case, but watching the games, seeing how poorly our sides attack despite have lots of talent, what else is one to think?
Did anybody else notice how AE tried to speed up the game yesterday?
I got a sense that he was getting annoyed at what was going on.
So he deserve more tests - in the 20 tests he played in he scored zero tries and contribted to the score of zero tries. That makes him deserve more tests? After De Allende there are at least 2 inside centers better than Esterhuizen and they deserve selection ahead of him. The last est he played in he was redcarded and since then Erasmus ignored him totally in tests played,
If he is as good as site experts believe him to be why is De Villiers not an strong supporter his selection? Why does Pollard claim he is a class act - the best center he ever played with and that include De Villiers and Esterhuizen? Esterhuizen is already 30 yeas old and the question is at that age of he is not a S pringbok regular he is ntpo going to become one n future,
,
Ha ha it’s just a joke:) sometimes his writing is of such a nature that it’s difficult to understand….possibly only Romulan,s can understand…..:)
You do not understand that Esterh uizen plaed in 0 matc hes for the S pingbpks and did not sccore a song le try and did not have a single try assist in those 20 matches? Amazing stif really, ,
and did not have a single try assist in those 20 matches
Except, for example, for the scoring pass he threw to Arendse in 2023 against Australia. RC round 1, minute 15:00.
Ok that was not regarded as a try assist by ES PN [ so I cannto beleive that they would ignore i because it dos not entaila nything bar a pass, A try assist would eb applicable if he broke a tackle and then create spaefor somebody to receive a passed ball when there is space for the recipient to operate in.
So how many tries did De Allende scored since 2018 and how many tries assist was he involved in. Latest count in AB tests alone is 3 tries scored - witha siilar number o assists bhe is credited with, That was clear in 2019 with teh WC squad selection and when Kriel was injured and needed replacement Erasmus called up Willemse and not Esterhuizen as replacement centre.
Willemse playing at center scire tries for the Springboks - something Esterhuizen was unable to do - even against Tsonga and Georgia in the 2023 WC in the only tests he was used in.
Sad to disagree - but Eterhuizen is not a good enough to be played on test level.
, .
No, a try assist is pretty simple - you feed the ball to the try scorer. That's why it's a largely useless point of reference without context.
