Before deciding to buy the majority shareholding of the Bulls Rupert offered to by a majoity shareholding in WP Rugby and the ulta-ciorrupt Marais as WP Preident undermind the situation with the result that the Stormers became factually bankrupt, Marais did not want any supervision over his activities and refused Ruperts offer - so Rupert got control of the Bulls and snce then had ample money to recruit players and appoint White as thei Director of Rugby, Despite White the team regained a new status in S A Rugby.

Westen Privunc rugby was placed under Administration by SARU and started to clean up the mess left by Zeit, Marais, Mrais was fired and banned fom participation in futue for ten years during which he was not allowed to hold any office in WP Rugby.

Earlier this year SARU decided to hand back the Administration to WP Rugby and the folloing article dealt with the newly elected President and other management positions:-

I think the best thing Kiewoet could do is to let Rupert to get 74,5 sharehlding in the Stormers frachise providing enough money to recruit players in future - exactly what happened iro Bulls Rugby. The Stormers need new top class players - but they lack the finances to get new and promsising players in their set-up. ,
