Could be a good game....unlike yesterday.

May 11, 2019, 15:10

Egon Seconds referee. Handy as a substitute as well should any of the teams run out of bench.

May 11, 2019, 15:14

Same sleepy start.

Slick passing by Warts.

May 11, 2019, 15:14

Howzit Pakie....I see we have the horror commentary team again....Phipps is through,

May 11, 2019, 15:14

Nice interplay and the Tahs score. Started with a poor clearance kick from Cronje off the scrum.

May 11, 2019, 15:14

Warts lead 7-0

May 11, 2019, 15:15

Hi Moz. I have a mute feed so I'm spared that agony.

May 11, 2019, 15:15

Stransky mentions 'gas'for the first time...it wont be the last.

May 11, 2019, 15:16

7-0 Tahs 5min.

May 11, 2019, 15:16

He gives a lot of people gas I'm sure.

May 11, 2019, 15:17

Lions lineout under pressure. They gain some ground from the Tahs tap. This time clean possession.

May 11, 2019, 15:18

Jantjies thinks about clearing and chooses to throw a pressure pass to his mate instead. Gets it the next time and Lions back up to halfway.

May 11, 2019, 15:19

Marx intercepts the pass from the lineout and just can't get to the line. Lions penalty 5m out. Lineout.

May 11, 2019, 15:21

Nice inside pass from Jantjes leads to try. Much better than just repeatedly ploughing into the opposition.

May 11, 2019, 15:21

Great line on the inside pass by Dyantyi off Jantjies and the Lions score from close.

May 11, 2019, 15:22

7-7 12min.

May 11, 2019, 15:23

Hooper scores as a direct result of a laughable tactical kick by Jantjies....not a peep from our commentators about the error.

May 11, 2019, 15:23

Hooper sells a dummy which is all that is needed. Scores.

Warts lead 14-7

May 11, 2019, 15:23

Good hands Tahs and Hooper trots over far too easily. Where is the defensive line?

May 11, 2019, 15:23

How bad was that?

May 11, 2019, 15:24

14-7 Tahs 15min.

May 11, 2019, 15:25

Mapoe almost slips through, needed someone on his shoulder. Penalty Lions right in front.

May 11, 2019, 15:28

Lions scramble it over through Lewies.

May 11, 2019, 15:29

Good Lions response started by a positive kick return by Coetzee.

May 11, 2019, 15:29

Great conversion Jantjies, 14-14.

May 11, 2019, 15:35

Poor option by Jantjies with the short high kick on his own 22. Tahs possession and they have a scrum.

May 11, 2019, 15:36

Tshituka at 7 for the Lions has been a busy bee. Looks a bit light though.

May 11, 2019, 15:37

Oh dear. Simmons just waltzes though a huge gap next to the Lions ruck to score.

May 11, 2019, 15:38

Orie nowhere in defense there. 21-14 Tahs 28min.

May 11, 2019, 15:39

Our defence across all our Super teams is pathetic.

May 11, 2019, 15:39

Lions are going to play catch up all day if they can't get their defensive organization sorted.

May 11, 2019, 15:40

High tackle on Coetzee surely, Seconds lets it go. Lions still on attack 7m out, and they lose it.

May 11, 2019, 15:41

Warts lock waltzes through Lions defence to score.

Then Lions knock on near Warts try line!

May 11, 2019, 15:42

High tackle on Marx is called, Lions on the Tahs 10m with a lineout. Big mess but they get the free kick fortunately. Scrum option.

May 11, 2019, 15:43

Now that was nice SKILLS by Vorster as Lions score

May 11, 2019, 15:44

Good run by Vorster, started laterally but he found space and dabs it through for Kwagga to fall onto and score.

May 11, 2019, 15:44

Marx goes busting up the middle annihilating everyone in his way and finds the tryline weeeeeee!!

Ok that was Kwagga Smith lol

May 11, 2019, 15:46

Jantjies is away with the touchline conversion, 21-19 Tahs 35min.

May 11, 2019, 15:47

Cloudy isn't it past 1 am in nz. What are you doing up?

May 11, 2019, 15:47

Fake news Cloudy, fake news :P She's taking a break from milking cows, Beeno.

May 11, 2019, 15:48

Same as you Beeno.....watching the rugby :P

May 11, 2019, 15:50

Dyantyi popping up all over the place, nice to see him looking to get himself involved.

May 11, 2019, 15:50

Haha yep chores all done for the day...sleep in Sunday morning lazy day.  I was having an ESP moment Pakie :)

May 11, 2019, 15:51

I hope you guys have all bought your mother something nice for her special day

May 11, 2019, 15:51

Nice chip by Vorster.....he is up against a nothing player today.

May 11, 2019, 15:51

Orie off, Van Der Sluys on.

May 11, 2019, 15:52

At 1 am.

Looks like a high scoring game.

May 11, 2019, 15:52

Hunt kicks some good Tahs possession straight into touch.

May 11, 2019, 15:54

Half time, 21-19 Tahs. Some soft tries conceded by the Lions, but it's anybody's game.

May 11, 2019, 15:55

I actually like the Lions and I like them even more when they’re playing the Tahs....it’s actually 1.51am to be precise and I’ve watched rugby later and longer than that sometimes.

May 11, 2019, 15:57

Would like to see Dyanti at 13. Any takers?

May 11, 2019, 15:58

Cloudy you need treatment for rugby Obsession! :D

May 11, 2019, 15:59

How is our favourite Jancees going :P

May 11, 2019, 15:59

Just hope the errors dry up and you/we can see some quality rugby.

May 11, 2019, 16:00

In the old days of Super Rugby we had to get up at 3 or 4 in the morning to watch the NZ games. Good times.

May 11, 2019, 16:01

Didn't he play some games at 13 earlier this season Beeno?

May 11, 2019, 16:01

Most impressive thing about this game so far is Cloudy up in the deep hours of the night watching it. Fan award of the week stuff!

May 11, 2019, 16:03

The only obsession worth having!

May 11, 2019, 16:05

Cloudy you are  frivolous creature:D.  We are in a extremely crucial stage in world history but let's not go there now

May 11, 2019, 16:05

Thanks Mozart.....I usually scare everyone away :'(

May 11, 2019, 16:06

Beeno...yes let’s just keep this strictly to rugby plenty to talk about on other threads ;)

May 11, 2019, 16:06

She can't sleep anyway with all those cows mooing in her ears.

May 11, 2019, 16:08

Pakie......the EOYT is always an early morning thing for us and many a night has been sleep deprived.  Best times :)

May 11, 2019, 16:08

Agreed Moz fan of the year methinks! Unfortunately she would be up for less prestigious awards as well. Hahahahahaha.

May 11, 2019, 16:08

Tahs start the second half with a rumble.

May 11, 2019, 16:09

There’s only two Pakie haha not a cowshed full....heck don’t even have a cowshed have to run around and catch the cow and tie it to the fence :D:D

May 11, 2019, 16:09

Skosan scores!!!!

May 11, 2019, 16:10

Great try Lions. Nice passing.

May 11, 2019, 16:10

Great try there......Beale lives to give! Joel so excited. He could say gas twice!

May 11, 2019, 16:10

Nice try Leeutjies.

May 11, 2019, 16:10

But it's the Lions who scores, Kwagga gets the rip and the Lions go a good 70m, throw a few passes and the try to Skosan.

May 11, 2019, 16:11

Well Cloudy two is enough if they're having a conversation either side of your bed :P

May 11, 2019, 16:12

An award in here is an achievement so I’ll take whatever’s going...thanks Beeno for your interest.

May 11, 2019, 16:13

26-21 Lions after 47min for our listeners at home.

May 11, 2019, 16:14

Hahaha....the Vorster hype starts again....playing against a nobody. How dumb are a our commentators.

May 11, 2019, 16:15

Dylon Smith destroys the Tahs scrum

May 11, 2019, 16:16

Lions doing superbly to keep the ball alive. Offload after offload.

May 11, 2019, 16:16

Lion's 16th player has arrived ........

May 11, 2019, 16:18

Marx is going to get a try soon I can feel it :)

May 11, 2019, 16:19

Think you’re confusing me with moooooo.....laaa Pakie :P

May 11, 2019, 16:19

Tahs grab the Lions' ball and a good attacking position is lost.

May 11, 2019, 16:21

Tahs seem to be doing ok without their star player I thought they would have karked it without him.

May 11, 2019, 16:21

Turnovers coming a bit too easily for the Tahs.

May 11, 2019, 16:23

Poor pass Cronje and Lions tamely surrender their possession again.

May 11, 2019, 16:25

Poor defensive alignment again.

May 11, 2019, 16:25

Warts score. And take lead 28-26.

May 11, 2019, 16:26

Tahs score after Cam Clark had a free run down the touchline. Foley converts and it's 28-26 Tahs 58min.

May 11, 2019, 16:27

Hooper now running through the Lions. Lions find space outside from the own 22 but Kwagga knocks it on halfway. Tahs counter again. Jantjies isolated, Lions will be lucky to get away with that one. The magnificent Vorster clears. Boy, he can do anything!

May 11, 2019, 16:29

Big tackle Marx. Tahs camped on the Lions 22. Whitely with a diving intercept. Hectic stuff.

May 11, 2019, 16:29

Lions need to get into Warts 22. Changes being rung.

May 11, 2019, 16:30

Reynolds on for Jantjies. If it's not a forced sub it's a strange one given the game situation.

May 11, 2019, 16:31

Time to talk up Tshituka

May 11, 2019, 16:33

Tshituka has gone quiet after a busy start. Good tackle count, not much else.

May 11, 2019, 16:35

Penalty to take the lead. Kwagga going great guns

May 11, 2019, 16:35

Lions almost waited until Christmas to clear the ball from that ruck. Still rumbling. Kwagga showing some great strength with Tahs hanging on him like Christmas tree decorations and excuse me for the duplicate reference.

May 11, 2019, 16:35

wow ....  I did not realise how strong Kwagga is.

May 11, 2019, 16:36

Reynolds just failed to get the offload away.

May 11, 2019, 16:37

Seconds making a few mistakes.

May 11, 2019, 16:38

Reynolds for posts to give the Lions a 1 point lead. It's good, 29-28 Lions 68min.

May 11, 2019, 16:38

Are you seconds guessing him, Moz?

May 11, 2019, 16:40

Tahs almost get there with the kick ahead but a superb save on the ground by one of the Lions, didn't catch the number.

May 11, 2019, 16:41

Foley with a droppy and the obligatory embarrassed look on the face after it goes wide.

May 11, 2019, 16:42

He’s no  Carter lol

Lions need to keep their composure no silly errors.

May 11, 2019, 16:42

Marx with another superb half break releases Green with the offload and Lions gain good ground. Knock on and Tahs scrum on their 10m.

May 11, 2019, 16:45

Well no shortage of offloads in this game. Can get a bit messy but it has been entertaining. Lions have a lineout 5.

May 11, 2019, 16:46

BIG call not to take penalty!

May 11, 2019, 16:47

And Tahs get a scrum on their own line. Opportunity lost for the Lions. For now. 29-28 77min.

May 11, 2019, 16:48

That was a big call.  Hope it doesn’t cost them the game yikes

May 11, 2019, 16:48

Yep, they need to stick around in the Tahs half or that decision can come bite them.

May 11, 2019, 16:49

And they get the scrum penalty. Tahs not too pleased, asking the ref if he wants  a seconds look at that.

May 11, 2019, 16:49

Lucky penalty.  Marx will get his try now :)

May 11, 2019, 16:50

And Tahs now win the scrum. Last chance for them. Can the Lions scrum dominate again. 30 seconds on the clock.

May 11, 2019, 16:50

Lol Pakie

Oh no another turnover

May 11, 2019, 16:51

Wipe the cow dung off your crystal ball Cloudy :P

May 11, 2019, 16:51

Great win Lions. Hard fought match.

May 11, 2019, 16:51

The Tahs have a long way to move the ball without losing it

May 11, 2019, 16:52

Good night Cloudy ....an enjoyable game.

May 11, 2019, 16:53

Congratulations Lions hard fought win.  Tahs missed by that much Folau would have been the difference methinks.

Anyway lads I’m off to bed.  Goodnight and wish all your mummas a happy mother’s day <3

May 11, 2019, 16:54

Good game Lions. Nighty night Cloudy, and thank you.

May 11, 2019, 17:50

Yes with Folau they could have won last two matches.

May 11, 2019, 19:46

No confidence in any of the South African teams displays...we have good to outstanding individual players but cannot combine as an effective winning unit.

We have grave tutoring problems at top level because schools seem to have good coaches...school standards appear to be good but in between some thing is so obviously wrong.

Is it our mindset and approach or is it a panic mentality which appears to be inherent because we live in a country with so many negatives???

May 11, 2019, 20:11

The foul ups relate to basics.

The skill levels and creativity of the backs are inferior to Nz Oz and Argies. The skill levels etc in the Sun Wolves backs are better than any SA side.

Desparately need top notch backline coaches to come to SA and help out.

May 11, 2019, 20:28

Quite correct Beeno...the NZ'ers, Ozzies and Argies and yes lets take the wooden spooners the Sunwolves...their backline is very good, in fact awesome at times but they lack the backbone in the scrums and basic sets but they seem to be improving there but unfortunately not enough...if they had some Georgian forwards they would be hard to beat.

Japanese rugby has my interest as it is the fastest developing rugby nation and I will not be surprised if they qualify in RWC in the pools.
