Lock Nico Janse v Rensburg and centre Jan Serfontein linked to the Bulls

Cobus Reinach linked to the Stormers

All past it but add experience I guess

I definitely believe Serfontein is a better center than Esterhuizen.  In tehe 35 tests Serfoentin played in he scored 5 tries - that equates to scoring 1 try in every 7 tests he played in.   That is 6,6  times better  than Esterhuizen  did in the 20 tests he played in.

Bullshit is Serfontein better than Esterhuizen

You need plenty of physicality at 12 which Esterhuizen and de Allende provide

Serfontein threw his opportunity of playing test rugby out of the window years ago - it’s too late for him now

You mean non-thinking rugby - which is Esterhuizen forte shown by his inabiliy to score tries on tes level - counts more han S efontein to m mind was always a mistake to discard him.

It is amazing to think that Serfontein is not in the bok squad and has been stranded in France for so long. I wonder why he never came back sooner and then leave when he is 30, but we now see that French clubs target player when they are younger and as soon as they hit 30, their pay drops too. Only the best players in the world can demand a premium wage over 30. The frenchies has wisen up and no longer there to be rugby players pension fund.

It is international rugby that is suffering. I wonder why Rassie never brought Serfontein back like he did with some of the other players.

I don't think Serfontein will be as good as he was when he played in SA. We all might be very disappointing.

It would have been great to have players like Serfontein, Kriel and Pollard in SA, but at least the boks are doing well and I think it is a blessing having our top players who have proven themselves play in Japan. They get decent money, the game is really competitive and skilful and not so physical demanding. Less travel and shorter season. It means our boks are rested and ready to go

Yeah I’m surprised Rassie never selected Serfontein over the years given how consistently good he has been for Montpelier but I’m guessing it made sense to invest in the more physical de Allende and Esterhuizen, the default type of test match inside centres
