I’ve been watching the domestic U21 championship on YouTube over the past few weeks contested by WP, Cheetahs, Bulls, Lions and Sharks.

I love watching this level as it gives us an indication of the future.

As per usual there is some seriously good talent about in particular at centre which is encouraging to see

The only negative was not seeing many big tall locks, most sides seem to have players better suited to blindside playing lock. Very unlike SA not to have some tall timber about

Wessels the loosehead that returned from France is going to be some player

My tip a few months ago was centre James Mollentze of the Lions and oh boy he did not disappoint. He has been playing 13 for the Lions and is now a physical beast having muscled up big time

Bulls and Lions are contesting the final

It has been a good watch for the most part. The players seem very attack minded.

I have enjoyed watching the Lions 10, Morrison. He's small but has a lovely passing game.

Until they start running a big, dirty 12 into your channel.
