We are now heading into the URC knockouts and we have 3 teams in the the Quarters, not as strong finish as we had last year. The Sharks and Lions and even the bulls really struggled, not to mention the Stormers to get in the top half of the table. Instead, we have 3 Irish teams sitting in the top 6 with almost Guaranteed home games. 

First up, Bulls and stormers will play in SA, but doesn't matter who wins, they will need to go to Ireland. Then we have the Saarks which I'm giving no hope for as I don't think they have the players to really cause any trouble to Leinster. 

So I think the Semis is where we exit this year. 

Looking towards next year, I was wonder what if we could bring our best boks or fringe players back, but can we target 5 of them, make sure they are under 30 or at least 32 and not someone like Willie who is checking himself into the Strand retirement home and will just be taking up Space at the Stormers, good squad player but not my marquee player. 

So here is my list of 5 top foreign for each team I would like to see return home to bolster our team and the boks. 

Bools 

RG, Jenkins, Pollard, Serfontein, Kriel > These guys cut their teeth at the bulls, pushing close to 30 but have a good 3 years left in them. 

Saarks 

Dan + Jean Luc Du Preeze, Robert Du Preeze, Grant Esterhuizen, Thomas Du toit > apparently Thomas signed for bath, but would have loved to keep him in Durban. The sharks pack lacks grunt and instead they Noche, Pepsi who are all dancers and not real forward players. 

Lions

Marx, Kwagga, Jansen Van Rensberg, Tyrone Green, Mostert + Orie (Just get him away from the stormers)

Stormers

Pieter Steph Du Toit, Dricus Pretorius, Dillen Leyds,  Warrick Gelant  

We need a couple of proper locks...Eben must come home. ...and Shickerling too.

Good call Draad, Botha and Shickerling should definitely come back. The sharks can keep kolisi, just notice the French club pulling out of his contract. The guy had it all setup for the next 5 years at the sharks, and he was playing decent rugby, not that I dislike him, he was always in my fantasy team. 

Ori definitely need to take a hike, not sure about Moerat, but Shickerling, maybe a decent 2 that can actually hit our jumpers. I would almost go for Acker van Der Merwe but I think he is pushing 32 already. Just saw Jaco Kriel retire at 32, but the guys probably had his best two games in recent years. 

But I do think if we can get back 20 of our top international players back in SA. I would love to see Kolbe at the Stormers but he has a huge price tag on him. 

I think the Stormers do have a couple of decent hookers, but not Dweeb, between him and Orie, the stormers have lost so many line outs. Maybe those hulking Barrel arms of him is making it difficult to control the ball with all that power. Might as well throw it across to the other side and aim for the wing. 

André Hugo Venter seemed more than decent,  but I haven't seen much of him lately... then again, I wasn't that focused on the Stormers this year...missed quite a few matches.

Yeah, son of legend Andre Venter. He is solid, potential to be our next Marx. Stormers biggest problem has been their line out. 

They also need a decent Loosehead. Maybe get Machunu from the sharks. Kittshoff will be a massive loss next season
