Following the logic of our two Jake bashers. 56 to 17….Guppies! Mountain Momma indeed.

Dec 14, 2024, 22:16

Geez what a clobbering….the Sharks were bullied in the tight stuff.

Mchunu can’t scrum to save his life ! What a game pollard had and scoring a try.

Masuku is a prospect, but he was outclassed tonight . He needs a lot more work, if he wants to play for the Boks…

Overall a embarrassing outing for the sharks, with Ethan Hooker the only man playing noteworthy Rugby.

Dec 14, 2024, 22:37

Stormers playing shit to….down 34-9, 20 mins to go….whats wrong with our so called top sides ??

Lions winning at-least….

Dec 14, 2024, 23:01

Pollard had a classy game. Shows what he can do in a more creative environment.

Dec 14, 2024, 23:10

Mozart

I wrote that I do not understand how that team of the Stormer were selected.   The team consisted of players I have never  heard about before,

"Following the logic of our two Jake bashers. 56 to 17….Guppies!"

Sometimes I get a bit embarrassed reading comments like this. I mean, to think I'm contributing to a rugby board that has noobs like this on it. What do visiting rugby fans think of our board when they see comments like this?

As if there's any kind of comparison. Just to explain some basic concepts to the noobs that any real rugby contributor would know . . .

Firstly, the Bulls were home at Loftus against a touring team while the Sharks were in another hemisphere. Noobs may not know how much home ground advantage is increased when the visitors are travelling from another country but real rugby followers know this . . . and even noobs with a modicum of intelligence should be able to look at past results and work this out for themselves.

Secondly, the Bulls were at full strength with 9 Springboks in the starting XV while the Sharks were effectively a B team without the likes of Springboks Ox Nche, Bongi Mbonambi, Thomas du Toit, Eben Etzebeth, Siya Kolisi, Grant Williams, Andre Esterhuizen, Lukhanyo Am, Makazole Mapimpi and Aphelele Fassi. Again, people who know something about rugby are probably nodding their heads while noobs like Moffie and Emp are wondering who those missing players are.

I mean, really. How little do you have to know about rugby to make a comment like the one above, let alone start a thread about it.

LMAO!

Dec 15, 2024, 05:58

So home field advantage is 6 points. That means you think the Sharks A/B team is 33 points worse than their A team. Now there’s a rugby noob idea. You’re right I’d be worried if some real fans read your original post.

Dec 15, 2024, 08:51

Awe...the poor pathetic twerp RooiBalls crawled out of his burrow to make yet another shitty, boring, meaningless post.

Is there a more clearly frustrated poster on this board, or any other board, anywhere on the interwebs.

What a truly pathetic individual.

Dec 15, 2024, 10:22

Not only pathetic but scared and insecure to…Notice how he always has to lash out or insult other posters?!

Only a Noob would think that a class franchise like the sharks or the Stormers would not be able to do better with there replacement players.

But no this noob really thinks that only the A list players can effect the win.

Whatever happened to building depth and making sure that your second best players can also be competitive and pull it thru??

Dec 15, 2024, 15:24

Well all I can say is that the Stormers game was without their top man in the fly-half position.

Manie sure was missed with his attacking play and exceptional goal kicking.

Plus that (outstanding) Stormers Springbok lock had yet another one of his standard weak performances.

Dec 16, 2024, 12:01

Difference is the Sharks put out a B side whereas the Bulls were at full strength

Huge difference - not playing Ox, Bongi, Koch, Eben, Kolisi, Vincent Tsituka, Williams, Esterhuizen, Am, Mapimpi and Fassi is huge

Dec 16, 2024, 15:58

Agreed Dave re the Sharks.

Also the Stormers had a number of players out.

It makes a big difference.

Dec 16, 2024, 16:25

Not a 39 point difference…get real.

Dec 16, 2024, 17:12

Huge difference between the Sharks A vs B side

It’s Boks vs provincial players

Dec 16, 2024, 17:45

1. Ntuthuko Mchunu

2. Dylan Richardson

3.Trevor Nyakane

4.Jason Jenkins

5.Emile van Heerden

6.Phepsi Buthelezi (C)

7.Lappies Labuschagne

8.Manu Tshituka

9.Jaden Hendrikse

10.Siya Masuku

11.Yaw Penxe

12.Francois Venter

13.Ethan Hooker

14.Eduan Keyter

15.Jordan Hendrikse

Not a completely useless team , surely they should have done better?? After all these are there second best team.

Same counts for stormers who completely folded with there second best team.

Surely the skill level and how these second best players perform, should not be that far apart from the A Listers.

The chasm is to big between these players and it’s impossible to always play your best players.

If we can only rely on our A Listers to drag a win thru, South African Rugby is in major trouble!!

Dec 16, 2024, 18:07

Oh what shit - that completely disrespects the quality of the opposition saying our B sides should be competing with English clubs best sides

Damn right a club/ provincial A side should be thumping an opposition B side

Dec 16, 2024, 18:26

Nonsense if one of your best players gets injured another of similar calibre should be able to slot in and be just as competitive.

How do you explain the boks setup then? Even a Moeras or a van Staden that is not even close as good as Eben, Mostert or Kwagga?!

But they still manage to pull thru a win and be competitive.

You can’t always play your best players and your substitutes must be close to the level of your best so that you still effect a win….Fact.

Dec 16, 2024, 18:41

Fuck me stop being thick - a whole side of B team players is not the same as one B team player slotting into the A side in the case of an injury

Fuck me

Bok set up vs provincial is vastly different

A Bok B team player is a provincial A team player

This is like explaining to a 10 year old

Dec 16, 2024, 19:03

Don't waste too much time on the rugby noobs Saffex.

Dec 16, 2024, 19:04

I hear you Rooi

Rugby basics here

Geez

Dec 16, 2024, 19:05

Well its higher than provincial level, talk about thick….Currie cup is provincial level …

These players that play in the URC and champions league is the players that get chosen for the Boks after all!

So keep on shouting like a lunatic, but fact is that the players that are the replacements, play together with the best ones.

They are supposed to be of the same calibre to seamlessly slot in and be competitive and win!

How stupid can you be to think that only the A Listers will win a game?!

Then you might as well throw in the towel now, because news flash players get injured and if you can’t rely on your substitutes to get the job done, then you fucked!

And what a insult saying that our top franchises is not even close to Bok standard. They follow the same principles as the Boks.

Besides that Erasmus is always in communication with our Franchise coaches. That’s a fact. So obviously he will give advise where it’s needed.

Dec 16, 2024, 19:16

Of course they should have done better….Dave and Peeper simply can’t admit it because it contradicts their 20year old anti Jake narrative.

Dec 16, 2024, 19:32

Huh so provincial is CC and the Stormers are not a provincial side?

Mpower are you really this thick

Dec 16, 2024, 19:40

Moz what I’m saying is that the Bulls in the last two games have been shocking

Their coach is Jake, so where does the blame lie

Against Saracens they seemed devoid of any direction when it came to playing in the wind and rain

Against the Saints they were just plain shocking and nothing changed after halftime - they were clearly the better side but continuously failed to turn things around

They look like an unhappy side devoid of direction

Your mate Jake needs to get his shit together and stop fucking moaning all the time - the latest being the need to stop for a hot chocolate break instead of a water one up north

It’s not even cold here - it was 12 degrees yesterday

Dec 16, 2024, 19:50

Yet again you trying to compare URC with Currie cup?? Does Currie cup teams play Leinster, Munster etc.??

No they don’t!! They play the griffons or the Griquas. It’s a totally different level of competition!!

Honestly talk about thick :)

Dec 16, 2024, 20:02

I never mentioned Currie Cup for fuck sake - wake up

We don’t have clubs in SA we have provincial sides. The Sharks are a provincial side

The Sharks A side should be competing in the Champions Cup and the majority of the URC, with the B side competing in the other URC and the CC games.

So if we are going to be sending our B side to play the Quins A side then I expect our B side to get thumped

If we send our A side with the off B team player to cover for injury then I still expect our A side to win

The Bok squad is made up of our provincial A sides along with clubs A sides abroad

No provincial B side player features for the Boks

Do you get these obvious facts huh?

How to delete porn history

Dec 16, 2024, 20:23

The sharks team was a mixture of A, s and B,s as you call them…so we should have done better.

That swampie Swiegers was a B candidate, but he was picked for the boks by Rassie on standby….

Ok he never played, but still the B,s can be chosen. Libbok for example was a Big Bbbb until Rassie picked him.

Moeras is a total B Knob and he get’s to play with the A,ssss???

So how now Brown cow ??

Dec 16, 2024, 20:31

Saffolk is right……it’s not cold here at the moment. Temperatures are in the teens.

But it was hot for Northampton in Pretoria…..

Dec 16, 2024, 20:49

Swiegers never smelt the Bok side and yes there have over the years been the odd exception to the rule where a player from a minor union gets a Bok call up - hardly the norm now is it

That Swiegers call was a Daan Human one but Rassie never bought it

Moerat is not B team, he is a good player, so stop speaking shit

That was not a mix of A and B for the Sharks

Ox, Bongi, Koch, Eben, Grobelaar, Kolisi, Vincent Tsituka, Williams, Esterhuizen, Am, Mapimpi and Fassi were missing - that’s 12 players

Dec 16, 2024, 21:02

Mchunu, Hendrikse brothers, one of your Favourites and you always rave what a class act he is, Jason Jenkins and Trevor are Boks.

Then players like masuku, tshituka, Hooker, lappies, Rahl , Hanro and Francois venter, are surely A listers?! Even Emile V Heerden who got baby Bok colours?

Fact is they should have played much much better !

Dec 16, 2024, 21:24

Mchunu is good but not for sex

Jayden Hendrikse is disappointing of late

Jordan is very good

Jenkins needs to up his game, he has not replicated his Leinster form yet

Nyakane is past it

Lappies is not A and Frans Venter is another hasbeen

Yes they should have done better but they are not the A side

Of that side only Jenkins, Manu Tsituka and Masuku or Jordan would start - with possibly Grobelaar ahead of Jenkins
