All Black Squad for World Cup - potential winners

So we are all aware of the pool of death. France and the abs have to duke it out in the group stage but it really doesn’t matter if either lose, I do believe that with their current form and squad that they will be a handful.

Based on the final Bledisloe game, the all blacks have all the right players and enough depth. Their 3 flyhalfs , Barrett, D Mac, and Richie all have over 200 caps between the 3 of them. all 3 boast plus 80% kicking, richi being the best.

Maybe their 9 is the only concern, but Aaron smith is world class. I’m not sure of their back up the ginger ninja, man handled Libbok.

What impressed me the most is their front row, they now have some serious big units that can scrum, Lomas and De groot is both under 25. Then they have this juggernaut of a prop near 150kg.

Their locks are playing well and the other Barrett has been sublime form. Whitelock and Retalic have been around for a long time. Then, their back row along with Sam Kane, Frizell and Savea have finally gotten their balance right.

Moving the final Barrett to centre have been a master stroke. Rieko, is an insanely fast player and they have pace to burn out wide. Will Jordan and Talea being the other. Jordan is the best outside back in the world right now.

They have managed their team and players really well over the last 6 years and they haven’t been afraid to bring in new blood but still winning.

Then we have the nonsense of Rassie. Our 2nd best 10 only has 6 caps!!!!

The All Blacks over the last 5 games have selected the best team and been very consistent in rotating players and causing minimum disruption.

On top of that, they sent an All Back 15 to Japan. These guys were unbeaten. They have kept their squad small too. Not this 50 plus players that we have seen.

All of their players have stayed match fit.

I also think that Ireland could be over rated, they had a lot of luck in New Zealand last year with that red card. Especially the way the laws have impacted the outcome of the games. New Zealand have been at the wrong end when it comes to player discipline.

So I wouldn’t read too much into those.

Rassie is living in fools paradise if he think he can rock up with our 2019 boks, thinking they’ll beat New Zealand. They have a hit out at Twickers, then a possible quarters or even final encounter.

But I just feel New Zealand is back and all that hurt from losing will make them one hard team to beat.

I do want the boks to win but think our politics and coaches have set us up for failure.

My loyalty stays with the Southern Hemisphere

Kingcorny it seems your loyalty is firmly with the wee abs. We have another closet ab supporter here. He can barely contain it.

Of course Kingcorny thinks Rassie is clueless. He doesn't think for a nano second maybe Rassie knows more about rugby than him, is closer to the players than him and is better able to assess the opposition than him.

Yes of course it's hard to defend a RWC title. Has anybody ever achieved this. We have won 3 but we know one doesn't go to every World cup and win.

If memory serves me the wee abs have won twice, both times in New Zealand.

All I know is that we can field a strong match 15. Hopefully Orie won't be part of the match 22. Hopefully we won't run into a bent ref.

Fact is nobody is a certainty to win this RWC.

Beeno the genuine Bok supporter.

Cough, string been penis, so much for knowing anything about rugby and what it takes to build a squad that can get you through the World Cup. They won the first wc in NZ, then at home in 2011 and then again in England. Knocking the boks out in the semifinals. They came 3rd in the last one.

I’m not an All Black fan, I hate the fact that they are so good and we always come up short against them. That aura of the boks being the fiercest team ever, but if you go back to the history pre world war and up to the 70s, the boks didn’t play that many test. Also, touring teams back then were much stronger because the spend months together. No planes, to believe these guys travelled by boat. Also, a player would retire by tossing their old boots in the harbour from the boat which took them home.

If compare our last 5 test or even last 12 test, we have no bloody clue what we are doing.

I just watched todays game, they made some changes. Two players on debut, yet, they got a win. The Wobblies were out of the blocks fast and were 14 points ahead. If you compare our game against them and that of the Wobblies. All blacks were in the bok position. They only conceded 3 points in the 2nd half and got scored 20 points to come from behind.

Yet the boks out score the All blacks in the 2nd half but still lost by 15 points. With their best team and players that were rested and were apparently acclimatised. The same All blacks that played in Argentina the week before with only 5 changes destroyed the boks.

No man, how many poor selections have the boks made over the last 2 years. 62 % win record and it may go below 60 after tonight with their bogus team selection. Now they are scrambling to give players game time. Some geniuses they are.

I have to agree with dead lemur, Rassie fucked up.

The all blacks are doing everything right in their preparation. We’re not and we have no back up as we just kept using the same players who are long in the tooth.

Our 2nd choice players has between 5 and 12 caps.

Andre Esterhuizen has only got 12 caps, played 3 times in the last 4 years, but he got like 4 mom performances in a row and he doesn’t get a chance.

I want the boks to win, but I don’t like Rassie attitude. He needs to go

You are correct kingcorn.

It is difficult enough having to support the mandate from the ANC but with the older out of form players in the ranks gives us zero chance of retaining the Web Ellis trophy.

The problem is not only Rassie just look at the Springbok coaches in the box during a game and remember those coaches having the correct coloured skin and little or no experience or understanding of tactics to take over and drag us even lower in world rugby.

Not even a case of having SQUARE PEGS IN ROUND HOLES it is a case of  rewarding players and coaches of dubious experience /skills to play and direct the demise of our beloved SPRINGBOKS.

They are a really the ANC GOATS.

Hasbeeno, I don’t think for a second that your RWC memory of stats is that bad…. Meanwhile the Boks are stuttering along in Argie country….
