This is an interesting contest. The Poms should put the Wallabies away, but they have struggled closing the deal. A loss to Oz could call for a massive response the following week against the Boks. A win may be enough for a bit of complacency.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:13

Hello Moz. Not sure I'll watch all of this one. Depends on if they put on a show.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:14

Delicious stab through by Smith. England in the corner. Great start.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:16

No conversion, 5-0.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:17

Or was it Slade who put the little kick through? No matter.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:17

The Wallabies have been as weak as I've ever seen them but let's see if the League convert makes a difference . . .

Nov 09, 2024, 16:18

Great tackling Aus, turnover possession.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:19

Penalty Aus, 5-3

Nov 09, 2024, 16:20

The Wunderkind looks a little small….Aussies looking porous. Morning chaps.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:21

Great break by Smith, England on the line.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:21

They have a penalty 5 out.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:22

Quick tap and Cunningham-South gets his second.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:22

Wait, review. Checking for grounding but it looks solid.

Come on TMO, for god's sake. It was clear on the first replay.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:24

12-3

Nov 09, 2024, 16:29

Both teams willing to have a go, certainly.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:30

15-3

Nov 09, 2024, 16:35

Curry run over twice, stays down the second time.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:36

"The Wunderkind looks a little small"

Who is the wunderkind you're referring to, Moffie? The 6'5 100kg outside centre?

LMAO!

Nov 09, 2024, 16:39

Curry off.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:39

Tom Curry off with concussion. Ben Earls moves to flank and the beast Alex Dombrandt comes on at #8.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:42

Wunderkind!

Nov 09, 2024, 16:42

Wright over for the Aussies off the Swaliwalili magic pass.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:43

Suaali gives a great offload to Tom Wright to score.

So far the "small" wunderkind has looked pretty good.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:43

Aussies have some proper physical players. There is hope.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:44

And now a knock from wunderkind inside their own 22. Pass and angle didn't line up. England scrum.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:45

Penalty England, should be 18-10 if they go for poles. Indeed so.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:47

Dumb Aus prop picks the ball up in the ruck instead of getting quick possession to the scrumhalf and England counter rucks a turnover.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:49

Camera can't stay off Swalliwallili.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:49

Wallabies are back in this as Harry Wilson scores.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:49

Convicts!

Nov 09, 2024, 16:50

Aus score. Two decisive incisions by McDermott freshly on.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:50

"Camera can't stay off Swalliwallili."

Maybe because he's so small?

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha!

Nov 09, 2024, 16:51

Wonder if the blood bin dude is coming back if Mcdermott keeps that up.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:54

Rob Valetini has been very good for Aus.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:58

Aus rumbling nicely now. Penalty, 20-18 Aus.

Nov 09, 2024, 16:58

Well that's actually been a fine half of rugby, much better than last night's game.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:02

Hope Aus can pull this through. Bit of belief and maybe things can slowly turn around for them. They don't have a bad batch of players together now.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:12

Interesting 2nd half coming up. A bandaged Jake Gordon has replaced Tate McDermott. Not sure the Wallabies didn't look sharper with McDermott on.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:13

Hi guys. Safe to say the Wallabies are back. Pulled themselves up by their socks in this one.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:18

Tom Wright is having a good game . . .

Nov 09, 2024, 17:18

Well done Smith getting back for that ball…Wallabies backs finding space

Nov 09, 2024, 17:18

Hello Denny.

Smith manhandled and dispossessed in a triple tackle and Aussie counter. Smith himself back to clean up.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:19

Another great touch from the guy playing his first professional game of Rugby Union . . .

Nov 09, 2024, 17:19

Small man showing some touches….brillianr

Nov 09, 2024, 17:20

Aus certainly playing like they want it, just not able to hold on to possession when it matters.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:21

Some more camera time for Swalliwallili.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:21

And now Aus botch the lineout.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:25

Very well worked Aussie try…in touch though!

Nov 09, 2024, 17:25

Short throw shenanigans Aus. Made them a few meters. Still rumbling.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:25

Try Aus? Could have been a foot in touch . . .

Nov 09, 2024, 17:25

And Williams over in the corner. The boys are bringing it.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:26

Yeah that might be foot in touch.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:26

Close!

Nov 09, 2024, 17:26

Sure TMO, start with the angle from where you can see fuck all.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:27

Man that's a tough call. And a big one.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:27

Looks like it will be chalked off . . . no, nothing conclusive. Try stands . . . but it looked out to me.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:27

Is this compelling evidence to over rule?

Nov 09, 2024, 17:28

Nope try stands.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:28

From the rear angle it looks out, from the front maybe just barely okay.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:30

England going but but but Cueto 2007 :P

Nov 09, 2024, 17:30

Meantime Aus is over the tryline again, but held up and penalty.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:31

What a super break by Wright from inside the 22 to get Aus there so by the way.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:32

28-18. Smack them Ozzies.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:33

England now has a penalty coming. Should be 3, but will they take it.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:33

Game lighting up now

Nov 09, 2024, 17:33

Nah, corner.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:34

Smith with some brilliance!

Nov 09, 2024, 17:34

It's been lit for a while Pres.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:34

Good try England. Sleightholme over after a clever grubber from Smith. Game on.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:35

Superb touch by Smith and Sleightholm is in. Bit too easy perhaps.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:35

Marcus Smith the main man…now I suppose Ford comes on.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:35

Smith has to be the most anti England 10 ever.

They need to build their team around this boy.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:36

23-28, Smith's boot not so good today.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:37

Some passing from the Aussies.. penalty though

Nov 09, 2024, 17:38

...and then he wins a penalty when Oz try to hit back with a quick score.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:38

Great break Ikitau. Falls apart for Aus though.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:40

England with another strong counter ruck turns it over.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:40

Commentators freaking out because they thought Smith was being subbed

Nov 09, 2024, 17:40

Ref definitely got in the way there as the Aus pass goes astray.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:41

Uh-oh . . . George Ford comes on . . . but this time it's for Furbank. Smith to fullback.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:41

You can see Ford is already calculating how he can make things worse for England.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:42

This should be a yellow for Salakaia-Loto . . .

Nov 09, 2024, 17:42

Well moving Smith to 15 is as good as subbing him.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:42

That was some stupid ass shit from Aus 19.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:42

No, he gets away with an off the ball shoulder charge . . .

Nov 09, 2024, 17:45

Australia trying their best to lose the game…a shovel pass in front of the posts!

Nov 09, 2024, 17:48

England are in. Sleightholme again. Scores tied with the conversion to come . . .

Nov 09, 2024, 17:48

Smith with another break providing the momentum for another England try.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:49

Smith again making something from nothing.

There was still work to do when his involvement ended but he sparked it.

Had he stayed on last week they have beaten the ABs.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:49

Aus deffos caught napping on that quick throw in. 30-28 England.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:49

Great conversion by Smith. England lead 30-28 with 12 to go.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:50

Aus again getting counter rucked, manages to hold on to it this time.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:52

Smith making 10m past two defenders again. You have to worry about the mind that subbed him last week.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:52

Oh damn, RooiBalls is here.

I had better make sure i speak clearly so as not to confuse the poor dear.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:55

Smith just keeps bringing it to the Aussies. Gotta love the guy.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:57

I hope Owen is watching ;)

Nov 09, 2024, 17:59

Kellaway in slow motion gets home…haha…so slow

Nov 09, 2024, 17:59

Kellaway scores to give the Wallabies the lead . . . but was there a knock on? No the try is good. Donaldson converts and it's 35-30 to the Wallabies.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:59

Hahahaha Ozzie!

Is this score gonna be allowed.

Ref checking...

I don't see anything wrong...

Oz in the lead.

Terrible game management from England. Has to be said.

Nov 09, 2024, 17:59

England set up a beautiful set move, drops a pass, Kellaway picks up, try Oz.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:00

Terrible positional play by Wallaby fullback

Nov 09, 2024, 18:01

Smith with another good grubber through forces the carry over from Oz. 5m scum.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:01

England score. Itoje. Smith with the conversion to potentially win it.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:02

England score. Damn and blast.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:02

It squeaks over. Think England have won it. Much better game than last night's scrappy affair.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:02

Lol and now England score!!!

That score came from a brilliant Smith touch that gifted England a 5m scrum.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:02

Come on George Ford, do something stupid, quick.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:03

Smith won it for England. A direct or indirect hand in every one of their last three tries.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:06

OMG...

What a game!

Unlucky England.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:06

Amazing! Wallabies win it at the death through Jorgenson.

How many times did the lead change hands in that second half? What a game. Well done Wallabies.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:06

Brilliant best finish ever!

Nov 09, 2024, 18:07

Lol, Aus takes it!

Nov 09, 2024, 18:07

Brilliant stuff!!!

Nov 09, 2024, 18:08

A Southern Hemisphere clean sweep is still on!

Nov 09, 2024, 18:08

Afraid this time it was Smith who got suckered on defense. So it goes.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:09

That was a proper game of rugby, worth it.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:11

Mike is about to join the thread and tell us how badly Eaterhuizen played

Nov 09, 2024, 18:11

Tom Wright is my pick for MotM.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:15

Good game, wallabies always looking to score, a bit scrappy around the lineout but made their own luck. Played with self belief now to grow confidence. Ref was good.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:17

Small guy gets the MOM…..Schmidt’s wife hugging the players, says a lot about the  atmosphere in the camp. Well done the coach, he inherited a disaster.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:19

Mike is about to join the thread and tell us how badly Eaterhuizen played

:D twice lost the ball that caused tries for the opposition and missed 7 tackles out of 2 attempted

I'd be tempted with Smith for MOM despite England losing. It's mostly his injections that kept them in with a shout at all.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:22

Australia shows ball in hand rugby still works….that’s a gift to the game vs box kicks, mauls and defense.

Nov 09, 2024, 18:22

Yep without Smith England are ordinary.

Nov 09, 2024, 23:33

Becs, hang in there.................. your cloud might have a silver lining next week.

Nov 10, 2024, 01:04

Thanks blob…….it was my birthday yesterday so I was having a lovely day until that disaster :(

As for next week…….just limiting the score to under 50 will be progress !!

Nov 10, 2024, 02:20

The jinx works again…it’s uncanny:

Nov 09, 2024, 18:02

It squeaks over. Think England have won it. Much better game than last night's scrappy affair.

Nov 10, 2024, 06:46

"Southern Hemisphere clean sweep is still on!"

This is more worrying...hope he didn’t jinx the Bokke...

Nov 10, 2024, 06:48

The Sadim touch...

Nov 10, 2024, 07:22

You can breathe easy. The SH sweep isn't on. I forgot that Fiji lost to Scotland last week.

Nov 10, 2024, 09:26

I can remember a while ago posters were claiming Australien Rugby is over….

But it never was, it just had a dip and now on the up.

OZ played a magnificent ball in hand game, that quite a few teams can only dream of.

What impressed me is how smooth the forwards linked with the backs. Joe Schmidt is making a hell of a impact. Congrats OZ.

England is struggling to close out games. But Marcus smith is surely playing in the right direction.

Nov 10, 2024, 22:13

Congrats to Oz and the Southern Hemisphere rugby! Great game to watch!!
