Bargies rip the Aussies apart

Once well behind in this game, a wave of brilliant backline moves swamped the poor Aussies. Argentina are such an unpredictable team. Awful in the second AB test, today their backline play was an art form. Impossible passes in close traffic, slick offloads, great running lines, double wings….it was delightful to watch.

Sure this was an Aussie defense, but a few weeks ago we were celebrating our wins against the same defense. It was the new sophisticated Boks. But compared to Argentina our attack is one dimensional. These guys may be playing the most sophisticated ball in hand rugby in the game…better than nZ, better than France.

In a fortnight our incredible defense may squeeze all this creativity out of them. But the  template is valid. And man it’s so much better to watch than the rolling maul.
