I have always maintained that Willemse is best playing at Fullback.
Can’t blame Roos for not being motivated. Paul de Villiers is a very good flanker.
Dixon has More potential than what he gets credit for. Same counts for Jurie Mathee.

Agreed, it would be unusual if Roos wasn’t demotivated. De Villiers has a tough challenge at 5’11” and 220lbs he is definitely on the small side. Back, George Smith, Brussouw are smaller men who were very successful. But I can’t think of any recent examples..
Ardie Savea ...................
PdV is a fine player...Roos is not a robot...Willemse IDK yet...3rd match on tour with a bit of a disrupted side...I'll take the win and not worry too much about it...next week vs Munster will be huge in terms of where we really are...we'll have to be competitive...I hope our best side starts.
"Ardie Savea ..................."
Netso Bob...PdV is 4 inches shorter and the same weight...and a 6 doesn't have to be tall
Do you have the correct address, Moz?
Paul is exceptionally active in open play and a strong defender. He could probably add a bit more weight, but that might come at the cost of his quickness and liveliness around the rucks.
Kwagga's had a fine career, &, he's smaller ?
Yes Blobbie 100% …..for me Paul should be in the Bok Squad sooner than later.
A player in the mold of Kwagga and Deon Fourie.
Plum are you a Lions or a Sharks supporter?? And don’t try and influence Moz to be anti Stompies !;)
I'm asking if he has the correct address because he wasn't on the match threads yesterday and I haven't as yet received his sick note.
Probably a Lions fan, M.
But I don't really have a particular team. I want them all to win haha
Any South African team playing against foreign sides should win.
But when it’s local derbies, the Stormers must make minced meat of the other top three! :)
Plum I apologize for my sloppy attendance this weekend, I’m in the process of heading down south, and I have a ‘to do’ list of about 30 items. I have drawn no conclusions on de Villiers, it would be a real plus if he is a great fetcher at international level, but I’m from Missouri on this one. Kwagga and especially Savea just seem a lot more explosive.
Apology accepted but I have recorded your demerits nonetheless.
Pakie and I sat through that entire bloody Sharks game while you were picking what wine to take to Florida.
Do watch the highlights of the Lions game when you get a chance. Was a very fun match with some splendid performances.
Safe travels
Thanks I’ll definitely watch the Lions highlights.
You don’t need any more evidence of Willemse as a 12 in his test against NZ
He is just coasting while playing for the Stormers, he was doing exactly the same playing 15 for the Stormers a few weeks ago
There was no real backline attacking play for him to showcase anything
Willemse is a 12, completely wasted at 15 of that there is absolutely no doubt
Just read that Willemse was playing with a hamstring injury - he did not want to leave the field as the Stormers had no more backline subs
His participation in the EOYT is now in jeopardy
I thought Dixon had a good game
Matthew at 10 is looking better and better
Nobody but Dawie thinks Willemse is best at 12.
Nobody but Dawie rates Juju.
Nobody but you-oo-oo
Nooobody bu'choo
Stop lying you idiot
Most rate Willemse at 12 and only a rugby noob would not rate JJ
Watched about 50 minutes of the Lions game Plum. Really enjoyable seeing a side playing with pace and commitment.
Our club sides, like the Lions, are playing modern rugby. It’s a strange conundrum, for most countries the national team heavily influences how the clubs play. In RSA the clubs seem to be ignoring Lucky ball and playing a faster, more fluid game….one which the Boks have shown glimpses of emulating, but still isn’t the preferred approach when the chips are down….witness Aussie 2 and Bargie in London.
If that record breaking chase against Australia way back was the moment that changed South African cricket, then that victory against the ABs in Wellington was surely its equivalent for the Boks.
It'll be interesting to see what sides we select for France and Ireland.
Does Rassie still believe that his best mode of victory is the team and strategy from Eden Park?
It's gonna be interesting to see what sides he selects for those games.
At this point, it's pretty safe to assume that if DDA starts it'll be crash ball Oz2 and Argie2 type games. Let's hope it's not.
I'm hoping for Sacha, AE, Moodie and Willemse with Kolbe and Arendse. Pity that Hooker hadn't been given any sort of chance at 13 because, on form, he should probably be replacing Moodie at the moment.

….for me Willemse still looks, actually much more natural at 15. Roos looks demotivated, de Villiers is no Brussouw and Dixon looks like a carthorse.
