When it came to celebrating Siya Kolisi's 100th Test match, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and the rest of the Springboks squad made sure it was an affair to remember. The young phenom stole the show with a Man of the Match performance during South Africa's gritty 32-17 victory over France at the Stade de France, even with the Boks down to 14 men for the second half following Lood de Jager’s ejection.

The match itself was nothing short of a gladiatorial showdown, and Feinberg-Mngomezulu acknowledged the intensity, noting,

"That was what we thought it was going to be at the Stade de France. 14-13 at halftime, it was tough."

Despite the challenges, the Boks' strategic kicking game was on point, even if it didn’t always translate to points on the board. “But I’m just so proud that everyone stuck in and made it special for big Siya,” he added.

While Feinberg-Mngomezulu shone under the Paris lights, he was quick to shift focus from himself, spreading the glory across the team. “It’s good fun,” he said with a grin. “I’m part of such an incredible team. Playing for my country on a Saturday – it’s my dream. It’s all of our dream. These little things don’t mean much. I’m just happy that we won with 15 points here today to make Siya’s day.”

Reflecting on Kolisi’s leadership, Feinberg-Mngomezulu shared a personal anecdote that highlighted the captain's inspiring role. “I got injured on the 28th of December against the Sharks, and we chatted after the game and he told me to hang tight and that we were going to make memories together,” he revealed. Since then, their collective journey has included a Rugby Championship, Freedom Cup, and this formidable victory in France. “He’s done so much for me and the whole country. He’s a real leader and leads by example.”

As the rugby world continues to debate the red card decision, the Boks' performance under adversity speaks volumes about their resilience and unity, qualities that were on full display in this landmark match for their captain.

"Nothing can stop the Springboks at Stade de France ??????"
