Bongi has been a legend - probably past it now but has certainly not been as bad as Shark makes him out to be
He has been at best solid, no longer making the noticeable impact he used to
Bongi is a madala now.
Good enough to keep around the squad to impart his knowledge onto the younger guys coming through at the Sharks and Boks.
Bongi used to be our top guy, but can maybe still pick up his intensity….who knows.
Will Erasmus add Johan Grobbies or Andre H Venter for EOYT, instead of the out of form Bongi??
Hopefully they will get more opportunities together with Jan Hendrik Wessels and Marx.
Mbonambi is way past it. When he has got onto the pitch of the bench, the team just goes flat. Marx should have stayed on in London versus Argentina.

This was Jannie Duplessis who used to miss the key tackles in a game. He became the worst tackler in World Rugby
He is a quota and always has been.
Rassie agrees.... Bongi used to be a fantastic player, but he is well past his best now.
Erasms has a problem and that is he hates to get rid of the elderly and the useless in the squad, He did clean out some of the elderly - but there are at least 8 remaning who I believe should be sent into retirement because they are past their "sell bye" date.

I would have to say he is the worst player in the Springbok team at the moment, and the only one who certainly does not belong in the team. He was a very good player, but has progressively declined over the last 4 years. It is so bad, a team with 7 forwards might play better than him being on the pitch.
A bit like Jannie Duplessi, who actually prevented his own players from making tackles. The opposition used to look for Jannie on defence and run at him. Then Jannie would miss the tackle diving, which blocked his own players, and create a gap in the defensive line to run through
