I can't understand why Rassie isn't selecting him though!!!???
Moodie is only 21, granted he's a fantastic player, but he's being woven into the mix. Yet even though our loosies are aging quickly, Rassie seems apprehensive about Cameron.

I think Hanekom will play against Wales. Delaying his Bok debut has possibly only increased Hanekom desire to be a Bok.
When everyone is fit and available on heck of Bok squad can be selected. We have backs that can dazzle.
I hink most people on site are not realistic, The moan and in some case ope that for instance hope that he Springboks lose their ranking as number 1 team in the world - but then ey want performing players ou of te team. immedately.
A team is buid up vr a few years and not in one or two tests. Be patient - Hanekom will come into the eam set-up asap - bt initially in tests againt weak countries to give him a ime to grwo into being a test level player - far roo many youngstes were rushed ito eams and hen disappoints in their first est and cannot repair the dmage and fade out,
Be ptent Hanekom by the end of 2025 will be a test regular if he is managed frm a career perspective treat with real career development anagement.
Yeah, so he gets one game at the end of the year but doesn't get a game against Scotland, Argentina or Australia...even though he was in hot form.
I dunno. I mean other than getting used to the Bok dressing room, there is no real
point to letting him have a runout against a shitty Welsh team.
Agree Plum the only way is by testing him now and a proper test.
Scotland and England would have been the right games to start him or of the Bench.
That opportunity is gone now….so I suppose wales is better than nothing.
Yes getting to know the Bok system is good, but to much emphasis is being place on it!
Fuck me it’s not like the Bok team must fly to the moon for a interstellar Warfare to save the earth?!
The wise old Yoda says patients and I say that’s all good and well….
but don’t wait to long otherwise before you know it the shit hot young talent is either to old or he has left to go play his Rugby for another country!
In the meantime play over rated dumb muscle and a captain that is on the better side of retirement….
very fucking slim and wonderful progress….NOT!!
Let’s hope we see him g
apped against Wales
Eish, I fixed my typos.
Anyway I hope they rest as many of the old heads as possible against Wales.
So, the team in five years from now..?
Which players certainties at this point? Moodie, Hannekom, Fassi, Horn?
I feel like the forwards Rassie is brining through are a little hit and miss. I was a van Staden fan, I still sort of am, but he does feel invisible at times. Where is he on the road to?
In Rassie's defence, on the Boks Office podcast, Ben Youngs said Van Staden is the toughest South African he's played with or against. That's high praise. But one is still kinda left wondering if Marco is just a stand-in or if there is some goal to him being there? He's had moments in games where I thought his introduction would make a difference, perhaps emulating some of his heroics for the Bulls...but he's come up empty all too often.
So is he a long term investment? Is he a stand-in?
All I know is that he's had a fair old run now and not really had any stellar performances. There are others waiting in line.
People criticise Kolisi and PSDT, but it's undeniable that they have influence on the game. Kolisi vanishes from time to time...but he'll always pop up somewhere doing something good. PSDT has been in the form of his life for a year now...so it's almost unfair drawing comparisons to Marco.
For me, Nortje is the Bok newb that has done the best. Despite Saffex's disdain for his lighter frame, one can't argue that he has had a few nice games and a more than solid start.
And then, nobody else really...
It's a bit worrying that an aging team, relying heavily on forward dominance, is not having anyone come through and shoot the lights out.
I don't think it's quite squeaky bum time yet, but we are getting there. Probably faster than some of us realise.
Right?
Think of it like this. Five years ago we knew...PSDT, Eben, Mostert, Marx, Kolisi, Bongi, Pollard, Kitshoff, Am, DDA, Willie, would all be there. We have our individual gripes about some of them, but we knew what our side would look like for the foreseeable future.
Makes one wonder, are we resting our laurels?

And the future is coming fast.
Cameron is 22 and weighs in at 110 kg.
He is fast, great pass, running skills and hard tackler. Can do the fetching as well. Seems to have everything.
I would like to see this loose trio given a chance behind a dominant tight 5.
6 Cameron Hanekom. 7 Du Toit 8 Roos.
Backline Williams, Sasha, Willemse, Kriel, Moodie/Arendse and Fassi.
Lethal backline backed up by a tough mobile loose trip.
