White did not watch him for a longish time - and was forced to play him recently beause his favorite under-performed - but White is and have been very por when it came to backline player identifcation. I can remember Dave putting it out many times. how White did not chose Moodie.

...and that AE is the strongest back in SA. I was reading that AE runs the 100m in 10.02 secs.

Esterhuizen may be the stronges center in SA - but he is total dumb muscle with deficient ball sense and skils / In any event if it comes to bodily strength De Allende used it better than Esterhuizen because he scored tries using his strengt and Esterhuizen does not.
Wish Mostert was a strength in breakdown ball possession protection - he is just pushed out by backline players. Mostert is not a lock - neither is he a loosie. The man played in 72 tests and he scored 3 tries - partly becase he is deficient in bodily strength. An example De Jager against OZ used his bodiy strentgth to score a try - against the same team Mostert tried to do the same and he was carried back 8 meters by Oz players.
I do not think Mostert is a bad player - I rate him as a good player against weaker teams - but the man is already 33 years old and is not irreplacable like for instance Du Toit at 32 years of age is at present.

If Moodie wants to continue his career under the Rassie defensive system, he can't deliver the types of mistakes he made last week.
I was watching a Squidge rugby review on YouTube that shows that Moodie was allowing the All Blacks to breach the first line of defence with poorly timed runs.
Instead of using an umbrella to push the ball carriers inwards, he was pushing people out to the touchline. The ball carrier was waiting for him before drawing and passing.
He got subbed by an outside centre (AM). The outside centre is the kingpin of the defensive system of Rassies defence, but the wings also have an important part to play.
Not clear if Moodie is fast enough for a wing- and if he is going to defend like that he is not going to be playing at 13 for Rassie
