What a weird item on this site - but probably due to very little rugby news for discussion. I always took charges of rape very frivolous nd doubtful, While travelling from Durban to Cape Town I stayed over in the Holiday Inn in Kimberley - there was no accommodation in Bloemfontein becaue of an ANC conference. The day afterwads their was a rugby match between then WP and the Griquas, so I got a ticket for the match fro Carl du Plessis - wh then was assistant coach f the WP. The show started on the Friday evening when a crowd of hot cookies ooking for the palyes invaded the Holiday Inn and they werre obviously looking for sex.
The match was he frst one where I saw Jean de Villiers playg for the WP and he was bloody good and I knew he was brilliant. So I thought he was a Springbok in the making.
However the Sunday morning there were panties l ying in the passage of the hotel where I satyed and osm very tore players having breakfast. There was no charges laid following the episode - but it seems players got caught in the trap ending up with rape charges be laid against them in some cases - especialy in foreign countries. ,
Should he add Jean to the list then Mike?
They sound like a lovely bunch.
