The follwing team was seleced by White to play Cardiff

Bulls: 15 Devon Williams, 14 Sebastian de Klerk, 13 Stedman Gans, 12 David Kriel, 11 Sergeal Petersen, 10 Chris Smith, 9 Embrose Papier, 8 Mpilo Gumede, 7 Cyle Brink, 6 Nizaam Carr (captain), 5 Janko Swanepoel, 4 Reinhardt Ludwig, 3 Wilco Louw, 2 Akker van der Merwe, 1 Simphiwe Matanzima.

Replacements: 16 Johan Grobbelaar, 17 Gerhard Steenekamp, 18 Mornay Smith, 19 Ruan Nortje, 20 Elrigh Louw, 21 Keagan Johannes, 22 Johan Goosen, 24 Cameron Hanekom.

Looking at the above team one wonders if the Bulls can beat Cardiff.    What do you know about Williams and De Klerk woth Gans at 13,    And then Smith at flyhalf is supershit   Wonder why Chamberlain not even on the Bulls squad?

Nottje and Louw are star players and deserve to start - Hanekom must hve been an afterthought - sine he is listed as nomber 24 on the bench.

Any thoughts on the team would be welcome,

Mike that can’t be the side selected as a good few of those players are not in the Bulls touring side - that is probably last years side?

Dave I was wrong = I normally get h eams from Rugby 365 and typed  om URC 2024 - but instead ended up with the 2023 team of the Bulls.   The relevant report on the teams playing this week is not up yet,

Devon Williams comes from the Pumas as does Sebastian de Klerk

Williams is a little guy with a step - he is handy

I like Sebastian de Klerk on the wing - good addition to the Bulls squad - can play 13

Gans at 13 is very good - has an extended Blitzbok background so pretty good on attack. Muscled up to a respectable 99kg so is a good squad player. I’d say Moodie should always be their 13 with Gans as the back up

Gumede at 8 is very good - was part of the Bok alignment camp this year

Ludwig at 4 is a great prospect but more suited to 5 and 7. He has really impressed me - a PSDT type of player

Swanepoel is a handy lock, he has not featured this season yet, might be injured

I like Matanzima at loosehead - good squad player

Mornay Smith is a handy tighthead behind Wilco Louw and Klopper
