Against OZ there was glimpses of maybe something new….but on the other hand OZ was not playing close to there best Rugby….our defence was not good against them either and against AB it imploded …Besides our defence our Forwards are struggling and in need of Fresh Power .

The Boks have often had strong defences going into WCs, but this time around, the Boks are looking quite vulnerable. Last season, the Boks had the lowest tackle success rate of all top 12 nations. It was sub 80% over the entire season. The All Blacks reaffirmed that the Bok defence is going backwards. A systematic problem compounded by personnel who are not proficient at making on-field decisions. Passive reactivity is the flavour of this Bok side. Fortunately, defence is the quickest element to remedy, but are they going to do it? The coaching team seem to favour a micro-light backline that cannot combat tight defences and physicality. They also favour weak defenders in the forwards. We didn't look good throughout 2019, and this year, we look much worse, with a significantly more challenging schedule. Perhaps the hardest of any Bok WC campaign!
