Some impressive work by Vermeulen. What the clip missed was Duane talking to the troops, encouraging players, deciding tactics. Much better on field leadership than we have enjoyed under Kolisi.

Crap Moz Kolisi is a good leader, we see him chatting all the time. The players love their captain
Plus man the guy can sing:)
Thor has still got it to a extend….his leadership carries more weight than Kollisi,s…..he is the man that should have been the captain in the first place….nothing against Kollisi, but Duane has put heart and sole into Bok Rugby and has been up there longer.
Kolisi really grown into the captain role, but I remember it was Duane doing all the talking under the post when the boks were down. Duane would play a full game where Kolisi use to play only 50 minutes before being pulled off. He was pulled off in the World Cup final, even though he had a really great game.
For his age, still to be able to get through a whole game, get around the park and being able to carry the ball that well. Doesn't have his pace like he use to have but under Rassies game plan, forwards don't need to be able to surge up the field. We have Kwagga with his pace if anything
Dave have
you ever heard Kolisi say a word in an interview that sounds like he has a concept of the game he has just played? It’s all pablum. Kolisi is a figure head and yes I would miss his rendition of the anthem. If only he fetched with as much commitment!
Moz are you saying Kolisi does not understand the game after all these years of playing it? Come on
Captains interviews about tactics are always about the most obvious things - any leader can come up with that standard shit
It’s not Kolisi’s role to fetch for if it was he would not be in the side. Gone are the days that the role remains the sole demain of the 6
The Boks rely on mainly Marx, Kitshoff, Vermeulen and Thomas to effect turnovers but any player in a position to do so does so including Kolisi but it could be Am, de Allende or Wiese
Kolisi is our best attacking forward, that’s his role and he is damn good at it. He is also a great leader, an inspirational one
Read somewhere that after analyzing match telemetry, Kolisi and Eben are 2 of the Boks reading the game the best.
Say no more Draad it does not come as a surprise to me
Out of interest sake, how many of Kollisi,s attacks or Game Reading actually end up with points on the Board?
You'd be surprised...at one stage, a few years back, he had more clean breaks than any back in the RC.
Mpower the same can be said of any clean breaks made by any player
Are you implying that ever clean break leads to points - what game you watching?
Kolisi is more suited to a running game, than a kicking game if the Boks persist with a more expansive game.
