Dumb and Dumber...

Yes, DDA and Kriel were not the only ones to blame for yesterday. I know.

But does any objective fan, player, or coach watch that game and still have any faith in either of those players?

This was an arm wrestle. Exactly the type of game were DDA is supposed to shine. He made two decent runs. That's it. He wasted and screwed up far more than he contributed.

I'm inclined to give our forwards a pass because for most of them this performance wasn't in line with their recent form. We could call it a bad day at the office for them.

But did anyone here expect anything different from our two long-standing centres?

I didn't. I got exactly what I was expecting from them. What most here were expecting from them and indeed predicted.

Can somebody please make a case for them because no matter what I do. No matter how much I try to appease myself...I simply cannot think of a single reason why I'd select them ahead of AE and Moodie.

At this point, to me, it's clear...select them and we are a much worse side for it.

Well, we have same problem like you have with any other coach that eventually falls. They hold on to their favourite players for too long. We saw it with Divvy, he knew he wasn’t a real coach and let John Smith and  Matfield run the show. Smit should have been dropped to the bench after the Lions series. Then we had Meyer, hanged on way too long to Matfield and Du Preez. In his defence, he had to pick boys given we had no fresh talent coming through. 

As for Rassie, what does it say we he picks so many over 30s players in his squad that should have retired. Half the team can’t even get through an entire game and the hooker that should have been on the bench, Grobbler, hasn’t had a sniff of any bok caps. 

So I agree, it was a tight match, Dud had a few good bump offs, but what really pissed me off is that between him and Jessie, we blew two clear try scoring opportunities. Most teams would have converted those breaks. 

Then Faf was very suspect yesterday with his grenade lob passes. 

We’ll get knocked out by France in the quarters. 

What a joke. They don’t have the balls to select the best team. We opt for Manie when he has a 50% kicking rate. They are so dumb, we saw this last year and they did nothing this year to correct it. 

These coaches are so stubborn. 

Nice for Rassie to go with the 7 forwards but did they really have that great an impact like Rassie predicted. 

No, because these players are too old and can’t play past 40 min. Even when Kolisi was fit he could not play past 55 min. I said it before and I’ll say it again. You’re starting 15 should be able to play 90 min. 

If your game plan is to burn out your players and hope the next batch will rescue you then you not only have a poor game plan, you are also setting yourself up for failure. You can’t play like this every weekend. 

Time to ditch Dud, Kriel and bring back Moody and AE. Pollard at 10 and Manie on the bench. The guy needs time to learn his craft at test level, not the way Rassie is doing it. 

You have to be not thinking clearly  if you imagine Esterhuizen is any better than Allende. They are very similar players. 

What you are missing is the superb defensive effort by our two centers against a very well ORGANISED attack backed by quick loose forwards. I think Esterhuizen and Moodie might not have done as well on defence and that was the concern Rassie had. Moodie is a better attacking option than kriel but weaker on defence in my opinion.

Allende kept their star center in check the whole game many a time he made practically no yardage at all. He was barring one break where Libbok slipped the tackle he was neutral used. I don't think Esterhuizen is as good as Allende on defence. 

It's not nearly as cut and dried as you make out. 

Don't drink the cool aid dished out on a daily basis by poor Mozzzzz and Deus for years now. They lack balance, perspective and rugby acumen. Hahahahahahahahaha but do provide comic relief. 

Can you imagine spending day after day beating the same old drum. How utterly boring until eventually it becomes laughable. Bwahahahahaha.

We do our best to please hackedwaugh! Don't of course get the appreciation I deserve.. 

Beeno, there a big difference between DDA and AE.

They have the same role but AE is far more dependable and much better decision maker.

How do I know?

Because I have yet to see a game where AE makes the same poor decisions that DDA does.

As I said before DDA is not the first person you should give the ball too...he should be the last.

That's my opinion.

It's not like I don't want him to succeed.

I have no issue with DA at all especially considering Esterhuizen did stuff all against Romania to enhance his push to replace DA

DA had two great moments in the test yesterday, putting Ringrose and Sexton on their arses but for the rest he was uninspiring

Kriel lacks everything Am has and Moodie has shown to have. He is robotic

They probably feel Moodie is not ready for the knock out stages of a WC at 13 and if that is the case then play Willemse at 13 and Willie back to 15

For Tonga I’d start:

Willie, Mapimpi, Willemse, Esterhozen, Kolbe, Pollard and Faf. Willemse may be the answer at 13. Moody is a fabulous prospect but his defence isn’t quite there yet. Willemse outside Esterhozen could be very productive.

It’s clear the Kriel/Dud combination is totally bankrupt…..has been for 8 years!

Mozzz had Ireland by 5 HasBeen…..acumen and accurate.

Damian, like Kolisi, Libbok, Lood, Kolisi, Steph et al should never have been capped. Called up on promised projections not merit. None ever lived up to the hype. 

Man was Dud Toit useless yesterday, blew a try, blew another promising move….totally cleaned off the ball on the ground. Kolisi a complete passenger.
