Wow, what a turn around it has been and how on earth does Eddie manage to pull it off after 2 massive failures and yet still coaching at international level.

He was the Aussie coach way back when and then lost to England in final. He got dumped from the Australia set up after some consecutive losses and losing the locker room. However, back then Australian were one of the best teams in the world.

Eddie spent some time in the wilderness after 2004 and some how ended up in the bok camp. He helped guide the boks to a 2nd World Cup as a technical consultant. It was the first time I saw our bok backline function.

He spent some time in Japan and then became their coach. He managed to pull off the biggest upset in history by beating Meyers boks in Brighton. A very dark day for bok rugby, 2nd worse loss was to Italy.

He then landed the highest paid gig, England, had a great run and was touted to win the World Cup, only to be knocked out by the boks in the final. He managed to hang in there for another 3 years before the England bras got tired of him.

The moment he got fired, Australia got rid of Rennie and then all of sudden he showed up in Australia as their new head coach that would take them to the next World Cup.

He had a nightmare of a run, losing to Fiji, getting destroyed by the boks and All Blacks etc.

He quickly evaded the backlash and probably had the support of the board but realised that Australia rugby is dead.

Instead of sticking it out, he quit and then now coaching Japan again
