I honestly can’t say that this was the best All Black team we ever played against. What they did do well is take their limited chances. Rassie trusty full back, Willie, ended up going completely over the player which resulted I’m a try. Moments later he was caught in no man’s land when another try from a line out set play cut straight through them.

For all of Williams pace, he looked completely out of his depth as he struggled to find his footing in the wet and slipper conditions.

Then there is Marx, he was never the best thrower, but this time he was awful. How many line outs did he mess up.

then don’t get me started on Dud and Kolisi.

Van Staden was the only forward putting his body on the line.

kolbe and moodie hardly got the ball and had to live off scraps.

Then, in the 60th minute we finally get Wilco’s and Ox together for one scrum. You could tell that there would be handling errors. Why did Rassie not start with these guys. We completely shunted them off the ball that led to a try.

Rassie will need to pick up the pieces. If this was a Mccaw or Read All Black I could easily see them put 50 points on us.

so many mistakes by dud. We are still getting blown up for obstruction I’m the centres, dud still kicking the ball away.

or 9 passing is awful and our protection around the ruck was extremely poor.

Kolisi didn’t once stick head over the ball. Instead, opts for being a ruck inspector and jumping away from the ruck. The man is a coward and poser.

unfortunately, it is too late. I don’t know what hooker or Sasha got from the game.

Time to pack in the old guys and that includes Eben.

we need to get Fassie and Willemse on the park. I want to see hooker cut the line.

Enough of this robotic smash it up and error ridden pick and pay special coaching.

Rassie has so many coaches and yet the team is regressing.

I believe things won’t get better for the Boks

Corn, you're way too critical...there's a reason we haven't won there in almost 100 years...and the ABs pulled through by the skin of their teeth with a sympathetic ref.

Sep 06, 2025, 11:44

Worst performers were Willie and Williams.

Sep 06, 2025, 11:46

It's clear Kwagga must play off the bench...he had a blinder...and Wilco off the bench totally destroyed them....Kolisi and Eben were fine for almost 80.

Sep 06, 2025, 11:47

Too many mistakes. We gifted the line out.

Just never got going

Sep 06, 2025, 11:48

Ja, lots of things to correct for next week, but we were still in it to the end in their fortress...not all doom and gloom.

Sep 06, 2025, 13:06

The AB;s will be alot better next week.................

Sep 06, 2025, 13:17

For the love of all that is holy, how are we saying Williams had a bad game when the ABs were literally sliding the Bok ruck backwards along the wet grass and into Williams? I lost count of how many times that happened. What should he do? Join the ruck?

Guys...a 9 can't operate when his pack is perpetually rucked off the ball.

I'll wait for Pakie's postmortem.

Off the bat though, DDA has no more cause to be in that side. He offers less than nothing.

Edit: fixed some typos.

Our best scrum is Clearly 1. Ox 2. Marx 3. Wilco….,Off that first scrum together we scored…. Why in heavens name did Erasmus not pick them as our starting frontrow??

Williams had a off game today, besides playing behind a weaker pack.

Sep 06, 2025, 14:29

So lets get this situation right.after all th3 BS KC came up with above and identifiy the real changes needed to get the Spingboks operational:-

! Willie le Roux - pathetic he is not a Springboks anymore. Replace him with Willemse or Hooker

2 Pollard was the third worst backline player on display - he played a mindles game and a pathetic one at that

3 Williams has been on the way down since last year

4 Kolisi - was he on the field fo play at all? If he was actually playing he did near to zero.

Sep 06, 2025, 14:45

Why is Dr. Unlucky smiling so much?? Man he is good at making excuses…

Sep 06, 2025, 15:54

Williams was playing behind a scrum that was pushed backwards mostly.

Willie is way pass his best and has been for a season or two.

The AB's dominated the scrums over a poor performing Springbok team.

Some might blame the players but the real problem is with the COACHES and Erasmus.

Outplayed by a AB's team.

Why did Reinach do better when he came on? We also managed to score tries

Sep 07, 2025, 09:50

Because the ruck got a bit better. Took us about 60 minutes to realise we needed to commit more to the rucks.

Williams wasn't operating from a bad platform. He had no platform.

Sep 07, 2025, 09:52

Exactly Corn...he managed the conditions way better...we probably would have won if he played from the start...surprised Plum didn't see this.

Sep 07, 2025, 12:03

I'm surprised you didn't see how the Bok ruck was being pushed backwards for all of the first half, Draad.

Maybe re-watch the game.

I'm further surprised that you didn't noticed how we gained more parity at the ruck in the final quarter. When we finally figured out what was going on.

Perhaps look at the ingredients before you blame the bread.

And if you go back to my post earlier in the week I literally said the following "The AB 9 and the the teams weakness under the high ball is likely where everyone thinks we'll find the win. But what happens if they are better under the high ball?"

And that's exactly what happened. They were ready for our kicks, we lost that battle, BADLY, and then we had nothing else.

Sep 07, 2025, 15:21

Yes, I did see the ruck got backwards, but also Williams struggling to get his forwards to secure the ball. I never saw him talk to the players around him. He also took way too long and relied on box kicks too much. It was poor conditions and he kept slipping and losing his mark or struggled.

Where as Reinach use his bulk to get the players out of the way

Sep 07, 2025, 15:39

Williams was flustered, not surprising for a young scrummie in such a big game when he was getting compromised ball. By the time Reinach came on the Boks were dominant. And Williams box kicking and clearances were way superior to Christie.

keeping it real
