Yellow for England early.

Might meet red criteria.

Cagey affair thus far.

Sep 09, 2023, 19:13

Argies looking to go 6-0 up with a penalty from their half...

...and he misses.

Had the distance though

Sep 09, 2023, 19:17

Argies now down to 14 for 10 mins.

Eng slot an easy one and make it 3-3

Sep 09, 2023, 19:18

Eng yellow upgraded to red...

14 for the rest of the game.

But harsh...but we live in a wine world now.

Sep 09, 2023, 19:24

Nothing in it for the moment

Sep 09, 2023, 19:35

Some bad game management from the Argies...wasting a penalty right on England's line.

Going for a weird old school penalty move when a lineout was the call all day.

Eng with 14 men and on a warning for a lineout penalty already. Why on earth wouldn't you go to the corner and extract another warning?

Sep 09, 2023, 19:37

England stemming the tide for now but one gets the feelings it's gonna be one way traffic come the second 40

Sep 09, 2023, 19:38

Ford slots a beast of a drop.

Damn nicely done...

6-3 England

Sep 09, 2023, 19:39

A red in world cup is a real damper...the same happened to Pumas in 2019, when Tomas Lavanini fouled up.

Penalise the player harshly by banning and fines but not the team or the spectators. Something should be done to allow a sub.

Sep 09, 2023, 19:41

Argies their own worst enemy at the moment.

Sep 09, 2023, 19:42

That red was just bullshit! As predicted, cards to decide results which makes me very angry….

Sep 09, 2023, 19:42

Ford slots a perfect drop from even further out...

This was from halfway.

My word man!!!

9-3

England

That one's gonna be in highlight reels for years to come.

Sep 09, 2023, 19:43

Those two drops have rattled the Argies.

If England go into the half in the lead they'll take a ton of heart from that.

Sep 09, 2023, 19:43

Hi Seb

Sep 09, 2023, 19:45

Hahaha Argies going for a drop from inside their half.

Sep 09, 2023, 19:47

England have controlled this half while being down to 14 for all of it.

Impressive really

Sep 09, 2023, 19:48

Oh my!!???

Ford slots another drop from right in front and much closer this time.

12-3

No doubt we'll be seeing way more drop attempts in this WC now.

Sep 09, 2023, 19:50

Cheika gonna be handing out some choice words at the half.

Sep 09, 2023, 19:53

Ford making a liar out of me at present.

Sep 09, 2023, 19:57

Cheika is a clown. He has the most talented backline in SH rugby, with a good selection of forwards and he can do nothing with them. Rudderless like his Wallaby sides when they hit resistance.

The ridiculous red card has irked me to the point where I barely feel like following the rest of the season. Rugby is a collisions port. Collisions happen. The standard of reffing I've seen the past few years has been some of the worst I've seen ever, in any sport.

Sep 09, 2023, 20:15

15-3

This ain't good for the much vaunted Argies.

Sep 09, 2023, 20:16

Yeah that card was harsh.

Sep 09, 2023, 20:17

Would be nice if Argentine could put 3 phases together.

Something ain't right with them here.

They just don't look like they have any sort of plan to take advantage of the numerical advantage.

Very poor..

Sep 09, 2023, 20:24

Cheika is of the Aussies who love the gas particle offence. Free flowing in any random way. Players often lament the lack of detail and preparation of these kinds of coaches. It's the opposite extreme to Erasputin and the subordinate who does all the work for him.

Sep 09, 2023, 20:24

Lol 18-3

Argentina going nowhere fast and England hitting every tackle like it's their last.

Sep 09, 2023, 20:26

If anyone ever requires a definition of the word implosion...I have 55 minutes of Argentinian rugby to show them.

Sep 09, 2023, 20:28

21-3

This is turning into what might be the biggest embarrassment for any team at this WC.

Sep 09, 2023, 20:38

24-3....

Ref taking the piss a little with that penalty.

Sep 09, 2023, 20:40

England's form is looking ominous. They have been a team that can raise their levels at world cups tournament rugby.

Sep 09, 2023, 20:47

Perhaps...but the Argies have been horrendous.

Sep 09, 2023, 20:51

1 game is not form. Argentina where woeful in this game.

Sep 09, 2023, 20:55

Argies have been to the same “How to get on the wrong side of the Ref” school as the ABs…….

"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." - Napoleon Bonaparte #quote

bravo England .............. woeful Argies

Sep 09, 2023, 22:00

Thanks, chaps :)

Certainly a better performance than we’re used to seeing from England of late.

Sep 10, 2023, 04:17

Yet another boring game that I struggled to stay awake through. Well done to Ford who completely controlled the game with the boot and to build score board pressure. But where did I see a team play like this.

Oh, the boks that got some much criticism for their boring play.

Ford use the exact same tactic the boks use with constantly peppering the wings with cross field kicks where players put pressure on the winger, but didn't kick it too deep.

So many kicks.

Well, when you have a player Like Ford that only skill is to kick, then why bother.

The red card is another thing that is ruining the game. But we'll done for England for changing tactics and playing a smart game

Sep 10, 2023, 06:59

It's shocking how bad the Argies looked.

But one should take nothing away from England.

It was an uphill I'll battle from very early on and and they rose to the occasion like champs.

Let's hope this was the performance they needed to turn things around.

Let's also hope that the Argies re-watch how bad they themselves were and pull up their socks.

Those droppies...the one from half way!!!???

Ford is probably still awake as we speak.

Sep 10, 2023, 07:13

They did their job and in RWC stages that's what you have to do but it was a lack-lustre mess with Argentina, some players were good but the majority were awful.

Anyway congrats Mr Ford, a splendid display of the boot.

Sep 10, 2023, 07:28

Agree, they did what they needed to do. England solid but not spectacular.

Having someone that can drop kick is great. It will force defending to shoot out of line, but this can also open up space out wide

Sep 10, 2023, 09:29

That one touch-finder off the penalty...from inside his half he put it out less than 5m from the try line.

Man was deep the flow.

The jersey from that game is for sure gonna be framed passed down the generations in his family.

Sep 10, 2023, 10:39

Eng digged deep yesterday to maintain and get the win they deserved….Well done. The Pumas are not so good at the moment but they will be back….there Rugby since the end of SR has suffered the most as there is not much consistency…..Hope they get better.
