After dismantling Fiji with a 38-18 score at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, the England rugby team showed mixed performances from its players. Here's how each one fared on the field.

Marcus Smith, wearing the 15 jersey, tried to orchestrate plays but often ended up in frantic moves that lacked the finishing touch, though he did perk up to push England ahead later in the game. His performance earned him a 6/10. Tommy Freeman, back as a winger, found himself more in chase than control, scoring a 6 for his efforts. Centre Ollie Lawrence, back after a skip against the Wallabies, seemed a tad rusty, impacting his decision-making though he played a key role in setting up a try, also scoring a 6.

Fraser Dingwall, despite being the team’s ‘glue player’, missed some critical tackles which dropped his score to 5. Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, the dynamic wing, bounced back from a heavy tackle to score, securing a respectable 7 for his ground-making abilities. Fly-half Fin Smith, showed sparks of brilliance but lacked consistency, ending the game with a 6.

Scrum-half Alex Mitchell injected pace but his game management was found wanting at times, earning him a 6. Number eight Chandler Cunningham-South, in what seemed like an audition for the All Blacks game, impressed with solid carries and tackles, meriting an 8.

"Chandler Cunningham-South's performance was crucial today. He's a powerhouse on the field,"

noted a teammate post-game.

Ben Earl and Guy Pepper both contributed well with scores of 8 and 6 respectively. The lock duo of Ollie Chessum and Alex Coles were heavily involved, with Chessum earning a 7 and Coles a 6. Joe Heyes and Ellis Genge provided decent scrummaging support, both scoring 7 and 6 respectively, while Luke Cowan-Dickie’s accurate throws and early try earned him a 6.

The bench proved pivotal again for England. Tom Curry and Henry Pollock brought renewed vigor, with Arundell making a significant impact in his brief time on the pitch. The young props, Fin Baxter and Asher Opoku-Fordjour, were also commended for bolstering the scrum.

This mixed bag of performances gives coach Steve Borthwick plenty to ponder as they gear up for the looming challenge against the All Blacks. England's readiness and resilience will truly be tested in that encounter.
