Pretty dull so far. Von  Poorfeet hoofs it directly into touch again and the Pom scrum gives free kicks and a penalty. All the feeling good in the world is not going to help if you can’t scrum.

Aug 12, 2023, 17:05

Yet another scrum free kick.

Aug 12, 2023, 17:09

And then the unlucky Poorfeet is gone with what looks like a serious injury…these games are really a two edged sword. I would be tempted to keep Etzebeth and Willie on the sidelines after the half in out two remaining warm ups.

Aug 12, 2023, 17:17

Another totally baffling ref call after calling advantage to Wales…hope this guy doesn’t call any of our matches at the WC.

Aug 12, 2023, 17:55

Not much longer now, Moz...

...then AI will be reffing games for us.

Aug 12, 2023, 18:38

Never saw the game I hear Farrell got red for his usual antics - will he be sanctioned some games?

Aug 12, 2023, 18:40

AI can be hacked like US voting machines...

Aug 12, 2023, 19:33

I hope they throw the book at Farrell and give him an 8 week ban. Didn’t even attempt to wrap his are our go down, shot strait up with the shoulder.

Also noted that with him off the field, England finally started to perform better. They managed to use their pack to drive for a try.

So I hope this is a lesson that Ferrell should go near the England team. He just have a really bad impact on the team with his attitude

Aug 12, 2023, 19:43

No we want him on the field so they get their arses kicked

Sorry Becs

Aug 12, 2023, 19:56

And I used to like you, Saffex :(

Aug 12, 2023, 20:08

Is there a more unlikeable player than Ferrell?

The most punch me face in rugby.

Aug 12, 2023, 20:13

Johnny Sexton ? Liam Williams ? Dan Biggar ?

There’s quite a list.

Aug 12, 2023, 20:55

Farrel tops it by some distance followed by Sexton, White of Oz and Coles of NZ

Aug 12, 2023, 20:57

Sexton I would punch first, followed closely by Farrell.

Aug 12, 2023, 21:41

See, it’s a more complex choice than one might think.

Aug 12, 2023, 22:22

De Allende, Steph, Kolisi, or Lood. It's bad enough knowing they don't deserve anything, but having to sift through the excrement frame by frame is soul destroying. The others are not South African therefore I don't care enough to be invested in who or what they are. Farrell cannot tackle. He has the exact same flaw as $onny Bill Will.i.ain't, though the latter reveled in it. It's more shocking that no coaching staff or senior rugby head raised the issue or sought it necessary to correct the flaw. In that regard, I could list Erasmus as my main target for wanting to punch. If he knows the game as well as many think, then he knows very well what these players are doing wrong, but does nothing to correct it. That's the worst offence of all!

Aug 12, 2023, 23:24

I know quite a few people who want to punch Faf ( including my mother ) and Willie le Roux.

Aug 13, 2023, 00:52

Ferrell...the kinda guy that turns up to a street fight with a knife.

You know it's true.

Aug 13, 2023, 01:34

Hahahaha.. I was so bored with the first half I went off to play golf. But the second half…who doesn’t like a good comedy. Play after asinine play. The Wallies overthrowing their lineouts, the Poms being carded….and handling errors galore.

But here’s the really hilarious thing. These are the only two sides of consequence Harrassmiss beat at the WC.

Aug 13, 2023, 10:55

Yeah that same England side that thumped NZ in that WC

Aug 13, 2023, 11:05

Different game, different challenge. That England side was our best possible match up, as they don't have the set pieces to play trench warfare. Most people called the final wrong on the basis of the nature of the England-All Black test.

Aug 13, 2023, 11:35

Oh fuck off with these pathetic excuses. Pathetic desperate attempt to discredit a brilliant Bok WC victory over England

Fuck off

Aug 13, 2023, 11:39

Saddex, are you really this clueless? England did not possess the tools to assert their game the way they did against New Zealand. This isn't anything other than a plain fact. Your feelings are a problem, they are always a problem. You draw conclusions entirely upon your feelings. This is why you are almost always wrong.

Aug 13, 2023, 12:12

Utter bullshit

Aug 13, 2023, 12:55

What happened at scrum time Saddex? They lacked the platform.

Aug 13, 2023, 21:26

By your logic dumbfuck it would mean England could never ever beat us as they don’t have the tools

Fuck you really are profoundly stupid

Aug 14, 2023, 06:33

Deus reveals his amazing pathological hatred of some Bok players and the coach. Uses terms like excrete ment and punch in the face etc.

The poor guy after years of being made to look foolish by the said coach and players has become completely unhinged.

You can't take this biased oak seriously when he discusses the Boks.

Aug 14, 2023, 07:04

The Boks played a perfect final.

There was so much about that game that was a brilliant advert for Rugby.

It's showed what perfect set piece dominance looks like. It showed how rugby rewards winning the attritional war and how all the grunt in rugby should be finished off with great scores.

I remember reading some comments from Japanese fans and the undertone was that they witnessed something very special.

...but 1) England were flat after their AB performance and 2) in no game before or since has that ref awarded less penalties against us.

Aug 14, 2023, 07:58

True Plum, the Boks were brilliant that day they played the perfect game

No side could be flat for a WC final they just got dominated

Aug 14, 2023, 08:37

There are arguments both ways Saffex.

However, when you watch the two games side by side, there is a notable difference in the English.

To me, they seemed less willing to get on the front foot with some bravery.

Could be nerves along with some fear of the Bok reputation in finals.

Perhaps, that pass early on into noman's land is a sign of where England was mentally.

Regardless, I see a difference.

Ches

Aug 14, 2023, 10:45

Given the occasion being a WC final and the fact you are facing the Boks means you have to be up for that game 100%

They just got physically dominated and with that followed the razzmatazz

Aug 14, 2023, 11:54

JVP out of the World Cup needing ankle surgery.

Aug 14, 2023, 13:26

Sorry to hear that….must be awful to get injured in a warm up.

Aug 14, 2023, 13:33

Yes I think you’re right, Mozart. It’s a shame for him.

Alex Mitchell has been called up.

Aug 14, 2023, 13:55

Back to the WC final. The Boks won that game because of 3 factors

One the goal line stand, thank you Mostert and oddly Malherbe.

Two the Rassie on Larkham tactic of having Dud Toit charge at George Ford. A simple side step would have ended that ploy but Ford was a deer in the headlights and master coach Eddie couldn’t find an answer

Three and most crucially the scrums. Now I ask you with tears in my eyes, did the scrum that was at parity with the Wallies become supermen in a week…..or were the Poms just awful. Given the drubbing the Beast gave Old King Cole it’s incredible he is still a Pom stalwart.

It was a strange affair, but I put it  down to those specifics and complete lack of warrior spirit from England. They thought they had won the WC when they beat NZ. Eddie probably thought he could unlock the Boks after Japan in 2015….the Boks got the sweetest revenge. Incredibly inept coaching.

Aug 14, 2023, 14:02

Rubbish Mostert missed a tackle during that goal line defence - fact

Absolute bullshit that England had no warrior spirit and no side would EVER think they had won a WC final before even playing it

What utter rubbish, it’s a WC final for crying out loud

The attempts to discredit the best WC final performance ever is a joke

The Boks and the mastermind of Rassie were simply brilliant

Aug 14, 2023, 14:10

Not a  fact….ESPN reported no Mostert missed tackles in the entire test. So if Harrassmiss was so brilliant, how come it took a Francois Louw turnover the week before to save us from a possible Welsh loss. Did he reserve his ‘brilliance’ for the final while taking a significant risk of not even making the final?

The logic is laughable Dave. Nobody is disputing we played a great second half….but the Poms simply didn’t show.

Aug 14, 2023, 15:26

I’ve shown you the Mostert miss - ESPN got it wrong

The Poms showed and they got smashed

Aug 14, 2023, 15:36

no side would EVER think they had won a WC final before even playing it

Is this Bozo real? He talks like some AI chat bot troll. :D

Aug 14, 2023, 16:02

Well we could always give Dave one of those ‘name the squares with bridges’ tests. But I think his language might be a bit advanced for a troll.

> Dave…..No missed tackles by Mostert. One could almost call him the man who delivered the WC.

Aug 14, 2023, 16:08

Mostert missed a tackle and that’s a fact I still have the game recorded

I’m quite happy to point out the exact time stamp if you would like?

Mostert has never done anything of note in any test he has ever played.

Very sad excuse for a Bok lock - all 112kg of him

Lazy fuck who is scared of the gym

Aug 14, 2023, 16:47

Go give me the time stamp Clown Pants. Let's see if you can finally make your very first rugby post of substance...

Aug 14, 2023, 16:52

For you I would not piss on you if you were on fire

I was not talking to you

Fuck off

Aug 14, 2023, 16:53

I knew you were a coward and would chicken out. Quick to demand things of others, who produce far more than you could ever be capable of producing, yet don't even try to back your wild claims up.

Aug 14, 2023, 17:00

Nope ESPN registered no missed tackles and I just watched the passage of play. ‘Mostert again’ was the commentators refrain, he must have made 8 crucial  tackles in that sequence, always intelligently moving to the point of danger. There was one instance where in a joint tackle the player was put down but not held and another instance where Youngs changed his line and Mostert passed him on to the next tackler.

By contrast there were thunderous tackles on Vunipola. Vermeulen also made huge contributions with almost impossible goal line stops eg on Underhill/

The player who was the weak link was Dud Toit who couldn’t put Vunipola down and he offloaded several times in Dud’s powder puff tackles.

And  the whole sequence was preceded by a toothless Dud Allende charge and Underhill monstering Dud Toit, who was rescued by a brilliant Mostert clean out.

Those are the facts, corroborating the ESPN stats. The weakest link in the goal line stand was Dud Toit. The strongest links were Mostert and Vermeulen,

Aug 14, 2023, 17:12

Ok Moz I’ll point out the definite miss by average Mostert - I think Faf was the only other player to miss a tackle on the line

Mostert 100% misses a tackle

Aug 14, 2023, 20:49

Correction the weakest link was Kolisi who did nothing at all in the goal line stand. I got there by wondering what the third loosie did, given we have covered Vermeulen’s excellence and Vunipola offloading out of Dud’s tackles. For a moment I had a hard time remembering who the third loosie was and then….hahaha…I remembered it was Cappie.

What a total waste of space!

Aug 14, 2023, 23:53

Kolisi is a class act, Mostert a complete pretender

Aug 15, 2023, 01:52

Damn Dave….look at those 10minutes that won the WC. Get a pencil and paper and list Mostert’s contributions vs Kolisi. It’s about 10 to zero. Kolisi is our open side flank he should have been our lead tackler or trying to turn over the ball…he just ran aimlessly around.

Aug 15, 2023, 02:01

Aug 15, 2023, 07:49

Yep, the fact the wall held at that point in the game meant England got shut out.

Had they scored there it could have been a totally different story.

My problem with Mostert currently is that he's getting on a bit and so that engine ain't what it used to be.

I still rate him, but he's not the Mostert of 4 years ago. Hurts to say.

Sous is already a legend though, and one of my all-time favourite players.

The mechanic's son will always have my vote...

Aug 15, 2023, 12:42

The tigers in defence on the line were Vermeulen, Beast, PSDT and Marx along with everyone else

But fact is Mostert missed two tackles and made a good few

But he was as soft as ever nothing imposing about his hits

Aug 15, 2023, 13:03

In the meantime, Faz has had his red card overturned. WR and the RFU are a joke. Piss boiling at the thought that we have to play tiddlywinks laws while at the elite level this shit happens.

Aug 15, 2023, 15:05

Plum I agree that Mostert hasn’t been as energetic in these build up games. But many of the Boks have been below par. These guys are a bit risk averse going into the WC. I may be wrong but I think you will see the real Mostert in France.

Aug 15, 2023, 15:07

The call on Farrell is a joke…but it won’t matter….all the RFU have done is lower their credibility.

Aug 15, 2023, 16:12

How the fuck does Farrell get away with this?

Aug 15, 2023, 17:24

It’s nothing to do with the RFU !

It was an all Australian panel.

Regardless, my opinion is that it was a Red Card all day long and he deserved to be banned for the RWC.

Aug 15, 2023, 18:27

Owen Farrell has always been a Dirty player…his so called tackles is nothing more than a shoulder charge….how this OZ Panel could turn that over, is a mystery…

Aug 15, 2023, 18:40

Well, Mpower, it’s a mystery to almost every English fan too.

Aug 15, 2023, 18:43

They were persuaded by all means possible?

Aug 15, 2023, 18:53

Goodness knows.

They said it was a camera angle that showed Jamie George impacted the tackle but I can’t see any mitigation in that.

Aug 15, 2023, 19:24

They all shared a Fat Blunt and afterwards checked out the different angles : ) the video footage shows clearly how Dirty Boy leans in with his shoulder to make contact with the head…that is typical for Farrell…nothing new.

Aug 15, 2023, 19:26

I know. He’s a habitual offender !!

Aug 16, 2023, 06:35

I hope so, Moz.

Dang it would be good to win this one. I mean, I don't think we will, but for some of the chaps to have two medals would be great.

Aug 16, 2023, 09:45

@Becs,

RFU appointed QC I believe got him off.

Aug 16, 2023, 14:33

He’s been with the England Team since Sir Clive’s time in charge.
