In an unexpected twist in the school rugby scene, Grey College faced their third consecutive defeat, marking a low point not seen since 2015. Meanwhile, Paarl Boys' High School found their rhythm again with a solid win. This weekend shook the standings and left fans buzzing about the outcomes.

Grey College, which had already been stunned by Stellenberg and Australia's St Joseph’s Nudgee College, fell 29-14 to Paarl Gimnasium. The game kicked off with Grey's JG Horn pouncing on a mishandled high ball to score, but Paarl Gim quickly countered. Flyhalf Louis Koen cut through Grey's defenses to equalize, setting the tone for a game that would soon slip from Grey's grasp. Before the half-time whistle, Paarl Gim's hooker Charles Whitehead and captain Ethan Barker both found the try line, pushing the score to 17-7.

"We took control early and kept our composure under pressure," remarked Ethan Barker, capturing the essence of Paarl Gim's strategy.
