By the way another Oakdale boy was called up to the SA "A" squad to play in the series starting mext Friday as a repalcement of an injured player, His name is Liam Lightly - bit he does not look LIGHT as his surname implies, He plays as a loosie.
Know anything more about him?
No don’t recall him
The Oakdale players that stood out for me are the 1, 4, 8 and 15
The 1 and 8 are in the SA side, the 4 and 15 in the SA A side
The 15 did not make the original A side but a few changes were made that saw the 15 called up
The 4 should be in the SA side he is a monster but is only in Grade 11 so has another year at school
The 12 was in the A side but has been prompted to the SA squad - he is a big lad - looked handy enough not that special
The 8 is the younger brother of Paul de Villiers who is starting to make an impression for the Stormers as an openside
He was a surprise selection ahead of Potgieter the Paarl Gim 8 who only made the A side

The series features the SA U18 and SA U18 ‘A’ sides alongside Georgia, England, Ireland, and France.
The first three matches on Friday, August 8, have been moved to Stellenberg High School in Cape Town’s northern suburbs, due to the current condition of the playing field at Paarl Boys’ High.
Match days two and three will take place as scheduled on Tuesday, August 12, at Boland Landbou and Saturday, August 16, at Paarl Gymnasium.
Friday, August 8 (Stellenberg High School):
SA U18 ‘A’ v Ireland (11.30)
Georgia v England (13.30)
SA U18 v France (15.30)
Tuesday, August 12 (Boland Landbou):
SA U18 ‘A’ v Georgia (11.30)
SA U18 v Ireland (13.30)
England v France (15.30)
Saturday, August 16 (Paarl Gymnasium):
France v SA U18 ‘A’ (11.30)

SA U18 v England (15.30)
The times are obviously Pretoria standard time - in other words an hour before England time.
Hope this is of help to our England members and also to Stav. ,
