….the model says 50 minutes a man down is worth 12.5 points. Ireland wins by 21 points in France and score 5 tries. Contrast that with the Boks who won by 1 point with 40 minutes advantage and no tries.

The one point still counts...we got over the line.

The poor dope just cant get over our 3 great wins. Face facts the Boks made the RWC the thriller it was.

I guess ou Mozzietard would love PDV before Rassie. He s that bonkers!

Ireland had France beat before the first card

French were off their game the Irish on theirs

15 Frenchmen would not have seen a French victory

Nice try Moz but you fall flat as ever

France the favorites…..France playing at home….crushed by almost twice the model margin. Sadly this not only puts a big asterisk on our final win. It also diminishes our French victory and says we were lucky to only lose narrowly to Ireland.

Pathetic

And then England almost lose to Italy. So we play four supposedly  good teams. England who were a basket case before we played them and after we played them. Ireland who beat us. NZ who were compromised by being a man down and in the end our kicker had to win the game for us. And finally France who it’s now apparent weren’t as good as everybody thought and only lost to us because, like yesterday, their kicker was unreliable.

Three one point games and a loss against these compromised teams… genius….hahahaha!

Stick with moz!

"Stick with moz!"

Rassie 2 RWC's ...Moz 0

True, that’s a bit awkward. But let’s focus on the bright side 57% excluding  the WC years.

57%'s piss-poor ................. that's almost, win one lose one .................

I think the French are passed it.

They focused on the world cup and were a failure.

The whole country focused on that world cup and they did not deliver so I think the French will be a far less threat going forward now.

As far at the Boks winning by 1 point - WELL THEY ONLY HAD TO WIN BY 1 POINT TO WIN THE WORLD CUP.

I am an AB Supporter and the Boks beat us - No matter what way you try to manipulate it.

Feb 04, 2024, 01:23

I’m not trying to manipulate anything the Boks beat a team with 14 men on the field for half the game, that’s worth much more than 1 point as the Irish demonstrated. But thanks for your thoughtful contribution.

Feb 04, 2024, 23:31

Fuck me Moz are you seriously this stupid . Did Ireland lose a player for 20 min, did Ireland not have a specialist hooker for 78min???

You keep banging on about 14 men but fail to acknowledge that SA had 14 men for 20 min and had no specialist hooker for 78min

Geez man for crying out loud . So now based on one game you conclude that France are not as good as we thought they were? Fuck me so all the good they have done in the past two years counts for fuck all because they lost to Ireland? Seriously?

We lost to Ireland because we missed far too many easy kicks. England found form in the WC but struggled prior. The England side that played Italy is very different to the one we faced in the WC - wake up Moz go compare the team sheets

No Dave I’m not stupid. It’s the net time down a man that counts. It was 40 minutes in the case of the Boks and 50 minutes in the case of Ireland…..taking full account of all the cards. Applying the statistic derived from an extensive study of cards….that’s 2.5 x4 in the case of the Boks and 2.5x5 in the case of France.

As for the hooker argument, totally spurious. The coach you call a genius decided Fourie was worth more than a specialist hooker on the bench. And even if he wasn’t, he wasn’t worth nothing, which is what you get with a player off the park.

France lost convincingly to Ireland and barely scraped past Scotland in the 6 Nations….but they did beat NZ in the pools. They were a potential winner and matched us in all aspects except goal kicking. But yesterday the Irish demonstrated their defense is vulnerable to skillful inter passing. Something we never do under Eluckmiss.

And we lost to Ireland who play a similar game to the Boks. That game was no different to the games we won. In fact we dominated the meters stat. But in that game Pollard wasn’t there to kick us to victory. Our kick percentage success was 20% vs Ireland’s 100%.

These games were all a stalemate in general play….won or lost by the kickers.
