I know it's very early to start this thread but I've got a strong feeling the Pumas are going to cause an upset tonight.

Vamos Los Pumas!!!

Nov 15, 2024, 17:44

Ireland: 15 Hugo Keenan, 14 Mack Hansen, 13 Garry Ringrose, 12 Robbie Henshaw, 11 James Lowe, 10 Jack Crowley, 9 Jamison Gibson-Park, 8 Caelan Doris (c), 7 Josh van der Flier, 6 Tadhg Beirne, 5 James Ryan, 4 Joe McCarthy, 3 Finlay Bealham, 2 Rónan Kelleher, 1 Andrew Porter
Replacements: 16 Rob Herring, 17 Cian Healy, 18 Thomas Clarkson, 19 Ryan Baird, 20 Peter O’Mahony, 21 Craig Casey, 22 Sam Prendergast, 23 Jamie Osborne

Argentina: 15 Juan Cruz Mallia, 14 Rodrigo Isgro, 13 Lucio Cinti, 12 Matias Moroni, 11 Bautista Delguy, 10 Tomas Albornoz, 9 Gonzalo Bertranou, 8 Joaquin Oviedo, 7 Juan Martin Gonzalez, 6 Pablo Matera, 5 Pedro Rubiolo, 4 Guido Petti, 3 Joel Sclavi, 2 Julián Montoya, 1 Thomas Gallo

Replacements: 16 Ignacio Ruiz, 17 Ignacio Calles, 18 Francisco Gomez Kodela, 19 Franco Molina, 20 Santiago Grondona, 21 Gonzalo Garcia, 22 Santiago Carreras, 23 Justo Piccardo

Nov 15, 2024, 17:48

That would be a real upset….I think Ireland is hurting after there AB loss and will be out for redemption….

But if there is a team that can cause a surprise, it is the Pumas….Go Pumas:)

Nov 15, 2024, 17:50

If the Pumas can just keep their discipline for once they have a real shot here. Thomas Gallo to monster Finlay Bealham.

Nov 15, 2024, 17:55

Anyone know what time Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson is happening? I might be pulling an all-nighter tonight.

Nov 15, 2024, 17:57

I like Thomas Gallo he is a very good LH prop….Not the Heaviest at 107kg, but great technique….He is going to give Bealham a real go.

Nov 15, 2024, 18:00

At 8 pm ET on Netflix….I will be watching that :)

If Jake Paul for some reason hurts Iron Mike, he will be very unpopular!

Nov 15, 2024, 18:09

Thanks Emp.

Nov 15, 2024, 18:49

I so wished Alvarez would have accepted Paul's challenge.

And then not knocked him out but just beat the piss out of him for however many rounds Paul is allowed to fight these days.

Saying that, Paul has grown up a bit and is a touch more palatable lately.

Nov 15, 2024, 18:54

You really wanna see the fight live, Rooi?

My routine is...have a lovely night's sleep. In the morning my girlfriend puts the fight on for me. I try not to even look at her in case her demeanour gives me some indication as to who may have won.

This was particularly tricky with the Dricus-Izzy fight since she was just as invested as me.

Nov 15, 2024, 19:32

Back to the Rugby……it’s going to be an interesting match. Ireland were quite unlike themselves last week, I thought. If Argentina get their tails up, who knows what will happen.

Nov 15, 2024, 19:48

If Los Pumas can keep their discipline and not give away a raft of penalties then they're just the kind of team that can run Ireland ragged with their fast and skilful backline.

Nov 15, 2024, 20:01

I agree.

They’ve certainly come along with Contepomi at the helm.

Nov 15, 2024, 20:53

https://www.indy100.com/sport/mike-tyson-slaps-jake-paul-as-tempers-flare-in-fiery-face-off

Mike Tyson slapped Jake Paul in a fiery and controversial face-off after the weigh-in ahead of their fight in Texas.

Ahead of the fight on November 16 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, in the first event of its kind to be live-streamed on Netflix, tempers finally fully flared as Tyson could not hold himself back from reacting to Paul's antics.

As the pair prepared to face-off, Paul crawled his way up to Tyson before standing up in front of his face seemingly in an effort to intimidate him.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:03

Argie anthem starts . . . time for a quick nap . . .

Nov 15, 2024, 21:07

Tyson is on edge and Jake Paul came up to Mike just a bit to fast ….just a little love tap, howzit :)

Now it’s on and Jake wants to knock him out…..It’s personal he says:) going to be interesting…..

Nov 15, 2024, 21:08

Everybody talking the Argies up.

Ireland should restore order tonight.

...but confidence is a funny thing.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:10

Pumas struggling to get out of their own 22 . . .

Nov 15, 2024, 21:11

A chargedown and partial chargedown has the Argies in trouble early but they get out of it.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:12

Yes! Moroni scores! TMO checking something . . .

Nov 15, 2024, 21:12

Haha is that try gonna stand!?

Nov 15, 2024, 21:13

Try Argentina. Ireland pass goes astray, Argie 11 beats about the whole Ireland side before his pass is slapped back but collected by Arg to score anyway.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:13

Uh-oh . . . Moroni with head contact . . . no try and Moroni gets a yellow . . .

Nov 15, 2024, 21:13

Oh dear, there's a bad looking hit from Argentina. Head on head.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:14

Here we go with the cards...

Nov 15, 2024, 21:14

Well that's unfortunate.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:15

Should be mitigation.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:15

Hell, from a try at one end Argie is back on their own tryline.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:16

Easy try Ireland. Argie never looked like they were going to stop that.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:18

Another for the Paddy bunch.

Easy times.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:18

Hansen over. That yellow may just have lost Arg the game.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:20

Crowley scores. against the 14 men . . . and converts 7-0.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:20

Arg taking forever to get the ball from the ruck.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:21

Scrum time.

Argies should get a penalty here.

Their scrum is better that that of the Irish.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:21

Now Hansen scores after a good break by Gary Ringrose. Pumas paying for the yellow.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:23

Argies never give up...hoping they can get back into this.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:23

Poor pass by the scrumhalf loses Arg 5 meters as the hooker has to take it above his head and gets driven back.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:24

Looks like Moroni will be back, or is the review verdict still coming?

Nov 15, 2024, 21:24

12-3

Nov 15, 2024, 21:24

Yeah remains yellow, he'll be back.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:25

Penalty to the Pumas in range. Take the kick!

Nov 15, 2024, 21:26

Yellow remains a yellow thank goodness.

Albornoz kicks the penalty . . . 12-3.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:27

Beirne over for Ireland. Did he ground it?

Nov 15, 2024, 21:28

Ireland over but Beirne couldn't control. No try.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:29

Nope. Tryline dropout.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:31

Now Ireland down to 14. Bealham sent off for dangerous play.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:31

Ireland now in trouble for a croc roll.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:31

Crock roll being looked at...

Defos a yellow.

Could be a 20 minute red.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:32

Corn rows on white dudes piss me off.

I'm glad he got a yellow ;)

Nov 15, 2024, 21:32

Albornoz kicks the penalty. 12-6.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:33

What a bloody ridiculous rule….the game is being totally over lawyered

Nov 15, 2024, 21:33

Nov 15, 2024, 21:34

Terrible box kick Argies. Wasted possession.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:35

‘Be more careful’ on a nothing burger tackle.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:35

Nov 15, 2024, 21:36

Crowley drop kick. Ireland lead 15-6.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:36

Fortunately for Arg Ireland botches the lineout and lose 10m. Still have possession, just outside the 22 now.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:36

Bealham yellow remains a yellow.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:36

Droppie one minute after you refused a kickable penalty, but hey, 3 points.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:37

Nice drop kick….good to see Ireland reintroducing  the old Bok calling card.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:37

Even the yellow was questionable.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:38

‘Not a high degree of danger’…you bet Sherlock, nor was the croc roll.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:39

Argies turned over.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:39

Ireland now kicking away their possession but the Argies oblige them by losing it in contact.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:40

A sleepy looking Clarkson comes on for Van der Flier.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:41

Penalty Pumas. Albornoz will go for poles from 45m. This to make it 15-9 . . . it's over.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:42

Albornoz makes it Alboryez.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:43

Terrific kickoff take by Keenan has Ireland on the front foot

Nov 15, 2024, 21:44

Stupid penalty Argies. Ireland going for the lineout 5.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:44

Ireland win it from the restart and on the attack. Pumas defending well but now it's a penalty and Ireland have an attacking lineout.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:45

Bealham back and so is Van der Flier. Clarkson can continue his nap.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:46

Ireland may strike left here. Yeah, Argies fanned out well though.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:47

Pumas need to score the next points to stay in this but they're pinned in their own 22.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:47

And somehow they've turned it over.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:48

Ireland seemed to have Arg pinned right at the start of the set move with space wide but the pass didn't come. Might be wrong, no replay to check. Ireland score now after a good burst by Lowe.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:48

Try Ireland. Joe McCarthy over. Crowley converts and it's 22-9.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:49

Just get the feeling that Argentina isn't going to be able to keep Ireland out when they get that close.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:49

Montoya back on and he makes a telling tackle. Scrum to the Pumas. They need a score here.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:50

Sharp work by Montoya as he catches Gibson-Park at the base of the ruck.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:51

And Argentina fluffs it. Ball lost, Lowe clears.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:53

Sustained attack by the Pumas but there's a knock on. Back for the penalty. Pumas go for the corner.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:53

Cinti again loses the ball as he goes to ground but Argies had an advantage.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:56

Pumas over but held up . . . back for the penalty. Another lineout. Come on Pumas!

Nov 15, 2024, 21:56

What a jumbled mess that turned into. Argies over but no grounding, looks held up.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:56

Argies lack their usual finesse.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:57

Another penalty to the Pumas . . . card coming?

Nov 15, 2024, 21:57

Beirne probably in trouble here, went right under the maul.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:58

Oh no he just fell that way from the lineout, never mind. Looked like he deliberately infringed on the live action.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:59

No card. Pumas tap and go . . . good defence Ireland . . . Ireland turn it over . . . it's half time. Ireland 22-9 and you can't say it's not a deserved lead.

Nov 15, 2024, 21:59

Big Ireland counter rucking and they get the turnover.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:00

Ireland looks like they have the Argies' number here unless something drastically changes. Argies look like a midweek side again.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:16

Back underway and Pumas have a lot of possession without much gain.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:17

Penalty Pumas and they go for the corner . . . lineout lost though and Ireland clear.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:17

Man the Argies look planless.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:19

Mallia breaks through and keeps going. Try to the Pumas. 22-14 with the kick to come . . . and it's over. 22-16. Pumas needed that.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:20

Finally the break comes, Mallia with a scorcher of a try.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:20

Fabulous Bargie try…the step on Hanson would satisfy Kolbe

Nov 15, 2024, 22:21

Mallia made some Irish stars look a bit ordinary there.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:22

Crowley now with a terrible cross kick.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:23

Mallia can't get past Gibson-Park though.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:24

James Lowe pushes Puma player off the ball and it's a penalty. Attacking lineout to the Pumas . . . back for the penalty and this could be a yellow for McCarthy . . . yes. Offside on a penalty warning.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:24

Argies have a lineout on the Irish 22. Going blind where there's no space for some reason.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:25

Albornoz lines it up . . . it's over. 22-19. Game on! Vamos los Pumas!

Nov 15, 2024, 22:26

Alboryezzzz makes it 22-19. Argies within 3.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:27

Irish pass goes straight into touch. Jitters? Sleepy Clarkson on again.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:28

Crowley with an early tackle. Penalty Pumas . . . is it in range? They kick for the corner.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:28

Great take in the air by Hansen. Waste of possession with a man advantage.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:29

Albornoz misses the drop kick. Poor option if you ask me.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:30

Albornoooooz pushes the droppie wide.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:31

Argies pick and go themselves to a standstill, there's no momentum.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:32

Carreras on for Isgro who has barely touched the ball. Carreras to fullback and Mallia to the wing.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:32

Less than 3 minutes of the yellow remaining. Not much advantage taken.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:33

Big tackle Ringrose.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:33

Piccardo on for Cinti who hasn't had his best game.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:34

Piccardo on for Cinti who hasn't been much of a shake.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:35

Lowe boots away a promising Irish attack.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:36

Ireland back to 15 men. Pumas need to do more.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:37

Rookie flyhalf replaces Crowley who has had a good game. Prendergast is his name.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:38

Scrum penalty to the Pumas and some handbags follow.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:39

Sleepy Clarkson wakes up in the middle of a fight.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:41

Pumas fluff it again.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:43

Now Ireland win a scrum penalty. They kick for territory. Cian Healy coming on.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:44

Ireland have a proper rumble but Lowe loses it.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:49

Argentina rucks over it and gains possession after sustained Irish attack. Still on their line though.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:49

Terrific pressure mark by Alberyezzz.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:50

Pumas defending that may just be a turning point. Let's see.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:51

And a turnover penalty for Pumas after Ireland looked threatening again.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:54

Yellow Pumas, cleanout to the head.

Nov 15, 2024, 22:55

After that big goal line stand the Bargie gives away the game. These guys are talented, but it’d hard to watch them.

Nov 15, 2024, 23:00

Pumas having a last rumble!

Nov 15, 2024, 23:01

Overdoing the pick and go.

Nov 15, 2024, 23:02

Final score Ireland 22 Argentina 19.

Nov 15, 2024, 23:02

Yep, lost it.

Nov 15, 2024, 23:03

Endless pick and goes. Sad for the Pumas but they were largely toothless outside of Mallia's bit of brilliance.

Nov 15, 2024, 23:04

Some team needs to reinvent the 10 metres out game….so predictable. One longs for Joe Cool cutting onto the ball at pace. It’s all forwards now,

Nov 15, 2024, 23:06

They got very close...well done...the Pumas took a step up this season...deserved top 5 side.

Nov 15, 2024, 23:44

Not convincing from Ireland….nice little fight back from the Pumas….

Nov 16, 2024, 11:00

Something told me that this would be a staged event ( Paul vs Tyson) and it was ….but what could you expect for a 58 year old Boxer.

Any case the thousands of people most probably was sorry to have spend there money on that ticket…

The other fights was good and most probably made up for the glorified sparring match….

Plus Mike flashed everyone his naked behind just before the fight started :)

Nov 16, 2024, 13:22

I watched he est and wa only imprssed by the theatrics of the Irish flyhalf when the Irish scored a try/   He a lying on the ground pretending to be injured and the try was disallowed - 3 minuetes later he scored  ty himself - great perormance wirhy of Holliwood actors.   .

S uth Africa scored a runaway victory in Nelspruit against the similar side used by he  Argentinians and beat them by a mle - so is Ireland as stroga s they claim they are?   fter their loss against the AB;s and the anrrow win against Argentina I have my doubts as to that team.
