My son says, Cheslin
sidesteps so sudden, it looks like he telleports in dashes like Nightcrawler.

Yes best Bok 14 of all time better than my childhood hero Ray Mordt
Better than James Small and JP
Who else would have been a contender
Habana our best Bok 11 ever, Arendse a close second
Cheslin would have wreaked utter havoc with the fractured defences of the eighties - he'd have been more unstoppable than Gerber. It's a pity he gets so little ball in the Bok side. We're basically starving our biggest attacking weapon.
Yeah, Cheslin would be my pick.
And he's an absolute fan favourite.
Still remember watching him at u21 level and how he was breaking ankles. First time I'd ever seen that type of brutal stepping.
He's always been next level.
Just a bit of trivia for those who don't know....
Kolbe is a cousin of famous South African track and field sprinter Wayde van Niekerk,[17] who won the gold medal in the 400 metres at the 2016 Olympics and is the current 300m and 400m world record holder.
I was going to ask a very similar question....mine would have been is he the most talented and skilled player ever?
In comparison I'm thinking Christian Cullen, Ma'a Nonu, Rupeni CauCau and Frank Bunce.

I specifically said right wing to take Bryan Habana out of the equation.
I think Cheslin is our best ever #14 and a contender for best wing we've ever had.
As a youngster, Cheslin played fullback more often than wing but he already had that incredible acceleration and flair. I was a fan from the very beginning and I've followed his career very closely.
It's not just his speed off the mark, he reads the game well and he makes up for his lack of size by being a ferocious competitor.
Some of the things Cheslin does on the field still amaze me. He's that kind of player. As a spectator, you just want the ball to go to him.
My vote for greatest Springbok #14 ever.
