I’m changing my view on Jessie Kriel - he has moved from looking robotic to playing like he used to when he first burst onto the scene

He is once again attacking space and looking good with ball in hand - good on him

He had a really good game today

I prefer Am as he has skill and a great rugby brain but Jessie is a very able deputy who at the moment has his hands on the 13 jersey

Much as I wasn’t a Kriel fan, he is playing his best rugby. And he is the key to our fast defense. Watching the Bargies and ABs their defenses allowed so much more space than the Boks.

The mystery is how this continues when the Boks are a living example.

Likewise with our scrumming. Our pack is hardly bigger than our rivals, yet we tear them apart in the scrums. What are the rival coaches thinking. I heard one of the Aussie commentators say you have to get very low against the Bok pack…interesting, but why are the coaches so clueless?

I think our forwards are bigger and stronger it’s that big boer thing

The stats are often so outdated - so many references still have Etzebeth as 117kg which is a joke

The likes of Malherbe, Eben, RG, Thomas etc are all over 130kg, then you get a guy like Marx at 118kg

The Aussies need Skelton and Tupou….are they injured or discarded?

Aug 11, 2024, 00:15

Same for me, I was never a Jesse fan, matter of fact I thought very little of him just couldn't understand what coaches saw in him but he's certainly changed my mind.

Tupou lost his father in the week

Kriel was very good when he first burst onto the scene - he is back to playing like he used to

I'm not a Skelton fan I've yet to see him have a good one but I'll be glad for him if he proves me wrong.

I saw Skelton play in Chicago…viewed from the stands he is a huge unit. Psychologically that would help them. Tupou crunched the Boks a few years back. I don’t think that guy is going to go backwards.

Mr Muscle Tech kriel is playing unbelievable rugby at the moment. Wonder if Am should shift to 12. That is where he started and could cause havoc as he is a far better player than Dud.

The Boks look good at the moment and so much quality on the park.

I think it is the culture in the team that speaks for itself. Players are kept humble and playing for the team. It is a privilege to put that jumper on and not a right. So any player that is sulking for not making the squad should take a hike.

As for the Wobblies, they stuffed up their own game with that Kiwi goth that got rid of Israel for his religious post. That was the end of Aussie rugby. Everything has gone to Rugby League. The Wobblies had to backline stars jump ship for league.

For some reason they just can't get players even though we know Australia is a sporting nation that are ultra competitive. Look at their medal tally, their cricket team etc.

Also, most of that team is from Fiji, so basically Fiji B team. No Australian identity left in that team.

Remember the days of Tim Horan, Willie O, Eales, Smith, Latham, Larkham, Greegan etc. That was a team worth playing against and you knew you had a test match. Don't see any of these payers in that class.

Australia need to go back to 3 teams and look after their youth instead of poaching the islanders.

The funny part is that Lomax, kiwi prop actually played for the Australian u20 team.

I think we're all happy for Kriel.

He moved on from simply being an athlete to actually being a rugby player.

Solid work ethic will always pay dividends at some point. Now we just need the donkey at 12 to retire.

"As for the Wobblies, they stuffed up their own game with that Kiwi goth that got rid of Israel for his religious post. That was the end of Aussie rugby. "

In hindsight,  you are probably right...total overreach that cost them dearly...

Bullshit de Allende is going nowhere he is vital for the Boks - Am never started at 12 was always a 13 - I remember him playing there for the Kings

de Allende had a quiet test yesterday but is our class act at 12

Skelton is a good player has got better since he left Oz

I always said Kriel was underrated by oaks in the board. My opinion of Kriel has not changed he is a fine international center. As of course is Allende. Beeno right from the beginning.

Willie left many here with red faces. They all thought this brilliant player should be kicked out. These oaks need to understand Rassie will ring the changes and bring in the new players at the right time. Thankfully th noobs hrlere have no influence on Bok selections. Rassie won't get it 100 percent correct all the time but he will do a great job.

Could mozzietard please tell the board again how poor a rugby player Du Toit is. We could all do with a good laugh!

I see rather than giving Rassie any credit regarding our scrumming mozzietard prefers to say the other coaches have no clue.

There isn't anybody more biased than ou Mozzie!

Rassie continues to innovate showing he is a exceptional coach.

Hoping RG can start on Saturday.

So to conclude  Rassie and Beeno were right about Kriel. Right about Alkende. Right about Du Toit. Right about the Boks as a team.

You have to understand the game oaks. Hahahahahahahaha:D

Gosh….didn't we lose to Ireland at home a few weeks ago?  You have to understand the opposition oaks.

Aug 11, 2024, 19:20

The same Irish team who've beaten NZ in NZ and has beaten everyone else everywhere...the best Irish team ever.

"You have to understand the opposition oaks. "

Netso.

PS...the Irish was desperately hungry for the win...and they did so by the skin of their teeth.

Aug 11, 2024, 19:35

The Irish beat us at home…it was effectively a series for the World Championship. It was drawn. But Ireland beat us in the WC and tied with us on our home turf. They probably think they are the best team in rugby and I would concede they have a point.

The second Arendse try had the makings of Jesse Kriel all over it.

Skelton is a log, seen him play a few times, @145/150kgs he's too slow and never runs.
