Did anyone even watch the game?
We looked really hot. So hot that if Dave were there, he'd sit in the rafters with his willy out screaming one liners that he got from his son while watching him coach!

Best display and execution of attacking play ever by a junior Bok team, they made and took their opportunities consistently well. Suffered a flat spot towards the end but by that time they were miles in front sweating on the final whistle.
I don't know their coach but hats off to him as well.

In a display of raw power and finesse, the Junior Springboks kicked off their World Rugby U20 Championship campaign with a thunderous 73-17 win over Australia. Under the scorching Italian sun in Calvisano, Siya Ndlozi's first-half brace set the tone for a game where the South Africans didn't just beat the Australians—they owned them, signaling a fierce comeback after a lukewarm performance last month.
The Junior Boks were on a mission to erase the bitter memories of a third-place finish in their previous outing, where they squandered early leads. They started with a vengeance, piling on five tries by halftime for a commanding 33-5 lead. Alongside Ndlozi, Cheswil Jooste, Herman Lubbe, and Hasheem Pead tore through the Australian defenses, each adding their name to the score sheet.
Aussie hopes flickered briefly when fullback Sid Harvey dashed across the line early on, hinting at a potential comeback. However, that spark was quickly extinguished as the Junior Boks’ backline sliced through the opposition, with Pead adding a second try to his tally shortly after the break. The onslaught continued with Gilermo Mentoe and JJ Theron bulldozing their way to further extend the lead.
The carnage didn’t stop there. The second half saw replacement players like Jaco Grobbelaar and Xola Nyali also getting in on the try-scoring action, demonstrating the depth and relentlessness of the South African squad. Even as Coach Foote began to rest his key players, the replacements kept the momentum, underlining a total team performance.
"South Africa have started the second half the same way they finished the first and show no signs of slowing down!"
Despite a late surge from the Australians, with Cooper Watters crossing over, it was too little too late. Jaco Williams capitalized on a handling error by the Australians to put the final nail in the coffin, rounding off a comprehensive rout.
The Junior Springboks are not just in Italy to participate; they’re here to conquer. With this massive win, they’ve thrown down the gauntlet to the defending champions England, who they face next. If today's game is anything to go by, that matchup is shaping up to be a cracker.
