Talk about missed opportunities and two fuck ups

There was nothing in that game if anything I thought the Boks looked the stronger side

Those two first tries by the AB’s were soft and down to some absurd goings on with Willie and the unbelievable one on one miss by Marx - some idiot on here blamed the Marx miss as a du Toit miss - fucking childish idiot

Then we had line out attacking opportunities deep in their 22 squandered by the Williams miss and the Marx taking too long to throw the ball in.

Then there was the Ox should have scored opportunity thrown away over the line

Best was the same idiot saying that all Rassie was a kick and chase coach - it was raining you fucking idiot, we kicked less than the AB’s did. Do we really have to put up with such stupidity on this board

The conclusions reached that de Allende and Kriel were poor is a load of shit. Same applies to Williams, Pollard, Kolisi, Marx and Willie. Judging by the comments on here I was expecting to see howlers from these players

In the second half you get the nice break by de Allende to set up PSDT deep in the 22 only for an obstruction to be called

So much for the AB’s pushing us off the ball at the breakdown, again by the comments I expected to see that all game - that never materialised, just like the so called utter shit that the AB’s can’t scrum

Bottom line is take away those soft tries and add Ox bloody scoring when he should have and that game was ours but right now this is a Bok side lacking synergy and still staying in the game

I don't get why people find what Willie did so absurd. He couldn't get to the kick, Narawa went to ground as he caught it, Willie couldn't dive onto him as that is illegal so his momentum simply took him past the player on the ground. No mystery. Kolbe is far more culpable for buying a dummy instead of tackling the carrier, which, being a fine tackler, he definitely would have pulled off.

Du Toit was right there as Jordan was slipping through Marx's tackle, then for some reason hesitated a fraction instead of just keeping his momentum and that fraction of hesitation was all Jordan needed to get away from him. As it is he just about clipped his ankle, without the hesitation he could have had him. Marx is obviously the main culprit, but there was a chance.

In the second half you get the nice break by de Allende to set up PSDT deep

You also get him handing the All Blacks their biggest clean break on a platter as he vacated the space on the inside that Jordie runs into. You also get him kicking the ball straight to the All Blacks with Moodie in space out wide. You also get him tossing advantage possession to nowhere with Moodie yet again open on the right edge. Outside of his break all he did was carry into traffic to set up the next phase - every 12 in the world can do that.

o much for the AB’s pushing us off the ball at the breakdown, again by the comments I expected to see that all game - that never materialised

They only counter rucked us off the ball 3 or 4 times, including right at the end before they kicked it out to end the game but sure, it never materialised.

I thought you were leaving Porker. And I never blamed Dud Toit for the Marx miss, I said he missed Jordan from behind. He could have made the tackle if he didn’t hesitate, but it was a hard one.

But he did totally miss Tupaea who ran right through him for the try that sealed the game. Nobody reported that, it would be too shocking to say the World Player of the Year blew a one on one. So I reported it.

You watched the game, with blinkers as usual.

Sep 08, 2025, 15:28

Who said I was leaving you fucking old stupid cunt?

Absolute bullshit could PSDT have tackled Jordan - once Marx missed the one on one, Jordan’s pace took him away from PSDT - he was never going to get him

Pakie you are fucking blind to Willie - it’s was completely clumsy by Willie. A bit of composure and even committing to the player on the ground conceding a penalty would have been a better option than whatever his attempt was

Sep 08, 2025, 15:30

why you only watching it now?

Sep 08, 2025, 15:37

I was away for the weekend and had no access to the game - some twit did spoil it for me and told me the score

Sep 08, 2025, 15:43

But not a word about Tupaea…typical. And he could have made the tackle on Jordan if he didn’t hesitate….chopping his stride. Stopping Jordan was the priority, he probably shouldn’t have assumed that Marx was going to make the tackle. Still I don’t blame him for that miss…the Tupaea miss was all his and consequential.

Sep 08, 2025, 16:12

Bullshit could he have made the tackle on Jordan - Jordan was gone

I did not pay much attention to the 3rd AB try - I’ll go have a look as your takes are always a load of utter biased shit

But more to the point - I’m not stupid or ignorant enough to define a players game by a missed tackle that’s rugby. One certainty is that he did not miss Jordan for a start

Sep 08, 2025, 16:17

I did not pay much attention

Sounds about right.

Sep 08, 2025, 17:12

Fuck off - like you telling me PSDT could have tackled Jordan - bullshit

Just checked the 3rd Kiwi try - yes PSDT misses the tackle which should have been made by Hooker before him

When you see your teammate going for a tackle you are less committed expecting him to make the tackle - so I can appreciate the miss by PSDT . But of course good old Moffie would never tell us Hooker missed the tackle first

Perspective and bias never go hand in hand

Sep 08, 2025, 17:40

Yes he could have tackled Jordan if he didn’t hesitate…..as for Hooker he overran Tupaea who came inside, Hooker got a hand on him. Dud Toit was the inside man he ran directly into and broke through, one hundred percent Dud’s tackle to make,

‘’Bias and honesty don’t go hand in hand. Stop the frigging lying,

Sep 08, 2025, 17:58

Yes, Hooker got about as close to Tupaea as PSDT did to Jordan, but Hooker had to make the tackle while PSDT had no chance on Jordan. No double standards here.

In case you missed it Dave, which you clearly did, Hooker was trying to cover three men as we were fucked for numbers, his first target being Beauden at 10 who he had to check himself for, then he had to shift with the pass. Sititi acting as a blocker also hampers his movement, preventing him from just shifting wide and instead forcing him to go straight first and then shift. By the time he had shifted from Beauden and gotten wider Tupaea was already wide of him and past him, he could barely lay a hand on him never mind tackle him.

Sep 08, 2025, 18:51

Oh what utter shit PSDT had zero chance of getting a hand on Jordan, hesitation my arse. Jordan’s pace takes him out of PSDT reach and that’s the end of that

PSDT is not the primary defender in that 3rd try, that is Hooker - Hooker misses the tackle which throws PSDT the secondary defender into the equation who misses the tackle to.

Fact is when you are the secondary defender you are not as committed or focused as the primary for obvious reasons - you expect your primary to make his tackle

PSDT missed the tackle but there were extenuating factors involved

Those are the facts relating to those two tries

As per usual because it involves PSDT a load of utter shit and lies is made up to implicate him

Been down this road so many times

Not to mention the fact that one secondary miss does not define a players rating for the game as a whole

For the record PSDT had a good game - was he the best Bok forward - no, but then I can’t really say who was

Sep 08, 2025, 21:16

Exactly right….Hooker culpable/ Dud facing an impossible task. This poor Moron doesn’t even see the Dud Toit hesitation. Hooker missed that tackle as much as Dud Toit missed Jordan, or Dud Allende missed Jordan when he ran right round him.

Regardless of what Hooker or anybody else did, it was a straightforward tackle for Dud Toit to make. But it was a player in space, not a forward or a back about to catch the ball….and so Dud Toit missed him….game, set and match to NZ.

Sep 08, 2025, 21:29

Bullshit old fart PSDT had no chance of tackling Jordan hesitation or not - you are fucking delusional. Jordan was good

Hooket was primarily to blame for the missed tackle, PSDT was secondary having expected Hooker to make his

Again this scenario evidences how little actual rugby you ever played

But more to the point - this is just more of your childish anti PSDT campaign

Sep 08, 2025, 21:47

If Mostert had missed the tackle Dud did you would have gone on about it for months….but of course he played 3 WC playoff matches and missed none.

Sep 08, 2025, 22:18

Mostert made loads of process tackles - I’ll give him that but he would not have got hold of Jordan in the same way PSDT did not

Sep 08, 2025, 23:20

Maybe not, but he wouldn’t have missed Tupaea.

Sep 08, 2025, 23:34

He would have as he to would have been the secondary defender

Sep 08, 2025, 23:40

So that’s your new lie….like we had no hooker in the final. According to that logic the player tackling after a missed tackle has no chance of making the tackle. Just more balls to protect a player you like.

Sep 09, 2025, 00:27

It’s not a lie it’s a fact. Sure the secondary defender could have pulled off the tackle but my point is he was compromised by the fact he expected the primary defender to make the tackle - with that comes hesitation, less of an alignment to make the hit, less committed - all factors that play a part.

There is a huge difference in having a player in your sights and hitting him than expecting your team mate in a better position than you to make the hit and he fails leaving you unaligned to make the hit - sometimes you are lucky enough to be in a position to pick up the pieces and make the hit other times not

Sep 09, 2025, 00:56

There was no primary defender on Tupaea….Hooker was on Ioane, Tupaea was outside him. Hooker was beaten by the pass which skipped Ioane, going to Tupaea who was outside him when he received the ball. As a result Hooker had to swivel to the left and make a tackle from behind. He only just touched the AB, just as Dud Toit just touched Jordan.

They were beaten because Hooker was marking 2 players and Barrett threw a perfect pass in Hooker’s case…..and in Dud’s case because he hesitated, breaking his stride, as Marx attempted to tackle Jordan. That was a case of second tackler being surprised. As I said in my original comment Dud couldn’t be blamed for that miss.

The miss on Tupea is different…Hooker was struggling to get across, Dud was the last line of defense and he lowered his body position a few strides out, to take the impact. That was his mistake Tupaea shifted to the left . Dud’s full on contact was broken and Tupaea went straight through him.

Sep 09, 2025, 01:28

Just looked at that again - it’s difficult to get a clear picture of what happens. The pass was made way back - it looks like Hooker takes the wrong angle to make the hit and he ends up behind T and manages to get a soft hand on him.

PSDT will have been thrown by that and also misaligns the hit ending up unbalanced on his knees in an awkward attempt to make the tackle

T exploits that and runs a good line to bust through PSDT’s misalignment

Both culpable - Hooker should have done a better job but that’s easier said than done and PSDT lacks the agility to make a quick change in alignment and he ended up messing things up as well but he would have been compromised by Hookers attempt

Both missed him but neither of them found themselves in a direct one on one - there were nuances at play for both

Sep 09, 2025, 08:34

On top of so much else, we now have to add dishonest to Dave's CV.

My word, Dave. I mean, is there any negative trait that you don't possess?

After reading your "take" on the game, I finally understand why you're so often completely wrong. You simply don't understand what you're seeing.

I've never seen someone with a delta that wide between what they think they know and what they actually do know, be that confident in the nonsense they spew.

Just one example is how you miss probably the most crucial factor in the entire game, the AB dominance at the ruck. The Boks literally, and very obviously, get rucked off the ball...and yet you apparently don't see it!?

I actually question whether you even saw the game. Because there is no way you could have watched it and be that wrong.

Be honest, do you only watch the highlights?

Sep 09, 2025, 10:43

Fuck off you ignorant prick

Sep 09, 2025, 10:44

Great retort, Dawie

Unrivalled IQ and all.
