Lions in a have a 7 point lead halfway through the 1st half.

A much more attractive game that the Sharks one last week, despite there being a good few mistakes.

A few good players in the a Lions side and a couple of exciting moments here and there.

Oct 25, 2025, 14:30

Lions playing way better than the Sharks did last week.

A group of nobodies but they appear to have some direction.

Smit playing a blinder.

Oct 25, 2025, 14:48

Howzit Plum….who is smit? Is Kade Wolhuter playing? Struggling to get a stream going….

Oct 25, 2025, 15:00

As the Lay-ons score!

Oct 25, 2025, 15:00

Lions starting the half on the Ulcers line.

Chris Smith, M

I haven seen Wolhunter yet today. Not sure if he's still with the Leeus.

Venter putting in a nice shift today.

Oct 25, 2025, 15:00

24-19

Oct 25, 2025, 15:01

Yo dudes

Oct 25, 2025, 15:02

Ulcers are roasting in this sunshine...they looked tired af

Oct 25, 2025, 15:03

Smith with a long range penalty attempt...

He slots it!!!

27-19

Oct 25, 2025, 15:03

Chris Smit from maroon to blue and now in red...more than decent 10.

Oct 25, 2025, 15:03

27-19

Oct 25, 2025, 15:04

Hahahaha that run from Oosthuizen and then he tried the chicken wing.

The man is a rhino!!!

Oct 25, 2025, 15:05

I'm not sure how Horn isn't with the Boks. He's such a solid 15. So well organised on attack and defence.

I bet if the Lions won more he's be a Bok by now

Oct 25, 2025, 15:07

And the Ukcers hit back after some momentum created by the scrum that resulted from Ooshuizen's chicken wing.

Oct 25, 2025, 15:07

Conversion missed...

Lions lead

24-27

Oct 25, 2025, 15:09

Ananathi showing that props can jackal too.

Why are these sticky black dudes so loveable?

Our chubby chocolate warrior!!!

Oct 25, 2025, 15:11

Crazy action now, back and forth. Ulcers will want to slow this down else they'll be out on their feet in the last 20

Oct 25, 2025, 15:16

More crazy action as the reffing team ignore a high hit on Rezo.

Lots of white shirted teapots now as the ref calls time off.

Nice to see the Lions being brave enough to stretch Ulcer and tried them out.

JHB is -+400m higher above sea level than Pretoria. The altitude is the Lions friend and they need to use it to their advantage more.

I like what I'm seeing at the moment from our bunch of Highveld nobodies

Oct 25, 2025, 15:17

22 minutes to go and the Lions with a scrum in the middle of the field

Oct 25, 2025, 15:19

Lions gain a nice bit of ground from the scrum,

...then they lose the ball on then ground.

Oct 25, 2025, 15:21

Lions with an attacking scrum on the Ulcers 22 now...

They win a penalty but no matter because they dot down under the posts...

Ref checks it but the try stands...

34-24

Oct 25, 2025, 15:22

How did the Sharks lose to this Ulcers team?

Oct 25, 2025, 15:24

Lions running the ball out of their 22 and making all the way to the Ulcer 22...they lose it and Ulster clear

Oct 25, 2025, 15:26

Game management needed now from the Lions.

Ulcers with a penalty right in from of the sticks, 10m out...they go for a lineout.

Oct 25, 2025, 15:28

Ulster maul stopped but they score after a few phases...they need this conversion...he slots it

Lions lead by 3

34-31

Oct 25, 2025, 15:33

Lions score a brilliant try after some total rugby. Great offloads, quick redistribution and some lovely angles to those runs.

A gut punch for Ulster

Lombard misses the conversion and the Lions lead by 8.

39-31

Oct 25, 2025, 15:34

Ulster having a conference now and eating their own time. They're really tired now

Oct 25, 2025, 15:35

Ref calling time off for a substitution and there are just over 6 minutes left in the game with Ulster needing two scores.

Oct 25, 2025, 15:39

Ulcers out in their feet as the Lions put plenty of phases together to go over for another to put the game beyond the Irish's reach.

Conversion missed

44-31

Thats a 2017 Lions score

Oct 25, 2025, 15:40

Glad I sat down for this one.

Looks like the Leeutjies are making some progress.

Renzo was epic today

Oct 25, 2025, 18:12

Checked the highlights. Lions loosies looked on fire.

Oct 25, 2025, 20:31

Looks like I missed the w/ends best game

Oct 25, 2025, 23:25

Went to the game.

decent turn out.

i can tell you, Quan Horn runs the show at the Lions. Without him, on and off the ball, they’d lack so much.

good game from the pack.

Renzo was outstanding as usual. Could easily be a Bok regular.

went to watch Bronson Mills… he was solid without being spectacular. Tackled well too.

This scrummie played a good game too. Nice to have some depth at 9.

well played Leeus.

Oct 26, 2025, 07:47

Chips, did you get 2017 Lions vibes from that performance?

I did

Oct 31, 2025, 07:16

Lets consider the situation objectively. The Lions played very well against a questionable team - and beat the team hat beat the Sharks.

Why did the latter happen - it is all the fault of Plumtree - not the prima donnas in the team who controlls the functioning the tearm The Sharks backline was disfunctional because of two players - the flyhalf and no 12 center,

They passed the balls to players in a worse positon than they were reducing the backline performances to a farce. In other words - with the backline having two real star players - Hooker and Van der Merwe - who from an attacking perspective never got a usable ball. With 2 players unable to read games and take decisions accordingly.to backline rugby is doomed,

So Plumtree will leave the job of Sharks Head coach at the end of this season his deopparure wil have no positives for a team where the players think they are better than any coach ever - the team backline themselves malfunctioned, because hey thuink too highly of themselves. Teya re so goodhey can ignore every gme plan and play shi in capital letters, The attitude of he playes are so bad no coach will ge them to play as a team.

After a comprehensive review of the situation the Sharks will retain the ervices of Plumtree in a different position .

because the player indivdual failures was so bad it destroyed the team as a whole, I think what will happen at the end of the season is that the Sharks will get rid of some of the overpaid prima donnas and replace them wth younger coachabe players,

The Bulls in those two critical backline positions suffered badly from the White decisions. Pollard thsi year was poor when he did play in tests - he lost a lot of pace and did not a have good record this yrear hether he played on test or URC level., I always thought that Serfontein was a top class 12 - but like Pollard he is not performing well anymore,

In the case of the Stiormers - they lost Libbok this year, But somehow th ey ere only left with Sacha as a top calss flyhalf, But they found an alternative in Matthee who peforms btter than any of the URC flyhalfs and he became a valuable asset for the team. as a whole. After 5 rounds played - in which Matthee played in four matches and Sacha in one - the Stormers playing more comprehensmive rugby than the other three. That si reflectin g in the rankings of he teams as follows:=

1 Stormers - 23 points - Point difference +118 points

6 Bulls - 14 points - Point difference -8 points

8 Lions - 11 points - Point differnce -9 points

13 Sharks - 13 points - Point differnce -40 points,

The Stormers will play Munster away on 29 November 2025 on and the Bulls the Sharks on the same date.

It left the Stormers away with only two matches in URC matches to be played in Wales, Scotland or Ireland and 4 such matches at home,
