Groupie…..today was anything but gold, it was right back to our boring WC rugby, Sacha aside. Sacha is actually Brown ball and a whole lot more.

What so he’s Rumplestiltskin ….hahaha….Good one Dave.
Dave
Agree - becaus he is honest, humble and truthful and loyal to the players he coaches. That is why the team never wants to loose because it hurts Erasmus so the relationship is mutual.
The man is a legend
Can't argue with that. Definitely the coming of the Rasmus. They should make a holiday after him.
Brandy in one hand, Brenda fassi in the background and a bit of a jive and some lekker rugby day.
We are so much better than what we were in 2017. Can't believe that was 8 years ago.
Yes, his first year was 50%, then world cup, COVID strikes, another world cup and now back to back championship. Still not flawless.
Never won a cup without losing. No perfect record, but the teams these days are so much closer and more professional.
Australia is turning the corner. All Blacks have slipped, France is always a threat when they show up. Ireland is a hard but to crack and England have the players. Just not coaching calibre
"We are so much better than what we were in 2017"
2012 to 2017 was a blight on Bok rugby...lot's of potential with little reward and a lot of disappointments.
We have some sad clowns bitching and moaning about how we won the RC
Fuck off we won
Sign of a great side is winning ugly, we won ugly yesterday in that shit windy weather. So fucking what.
Testament to how great a coach Rassie is - we win when it counts we don’t choke, we believe
We are so fucking lucky we have him as our coach - he gets the best out of players
Fuck those worthless clowns you keep throwing negatives his way. Bunch of idiots - literally
Yes Dave the only luck in play is we have Rassie as coach. Our greatest coach ever as the record shows.
These back to back wins leaved the Mozzie narrative in the dung heap.
Two RWC WINS, back thy o back Rugby Championship wins, A Lions series win.
Also we are still number 1
Rassie for president? What a joke….And how exactly is Rassie supposed to run the country with his “robot traffic lights,” all red, orange, green, and totally mixed up?? Grow up, Ai jaai jaai:)
Fuck off you worthless ignorant prick
Same to you.
I can see the cabinet….Dud Allende Minister of Commerce….Wiese Minister of Foreign Affairs… Manie Minister of Transport…Stick a new Cabinet post…..Minister of All Decisions.

And all that would be 1000 times better than the tossers running the country ATM...M, I can guarantee you that Rassie will do a better job than the ANC...I will actually back Snõrre to do a much better job than Cyril.
Well, the ANC doesn’t set the Bar very high….even Manie Libbok would do a better Job:)
How did this become a topic of a political nature?
Because it had a political title?
Lol
Draad, the Blight started when Pieter De Villiers took over. Constantly moaning, big mouth and was a real jerk to the players. Frans being one that wasn't going to tolerate him. Matfield flew all the way just too meer with him once. This guy was on such a power trip.
The boks imploded but then the leadership of John Smit took over and the boks stuck to what they knew under white and had a near perfect year in 2009. Beating All Blacks 3 times in one year and then the lions series.
But wheels started to come off as Smit and his players were getting older and the result was a knock out in the quarters. That team could have won back to back. Rassie had to be brought in to try and rescue the boks but it was too late. The damage has been done. There was no new players and all the caps were wasted on Earl Rose and similar quota players like AD Jacobs, to name a few. De Villiers created nothing and ended up with a poor record.
Meyer came in with no team and had to bring back Matfield and Du Preez who were too old, but he brought in Etzebeth, Kriel, Pollard, De Allende, Lê Roux. All players that now had won 2 world cups.
He needed another cycle but got dropped for Coetzee. It all went downhill from there.
Much of Rassie success is thanks to Meyer. On top of that Meyer still had to play the best team of era 3 times a year. Australia was still very competitive.
But I think White, Meyer and Erasmus are probably the source of our success today.
Glad to see Rassie buildings the next generation
As proven by Stade Frncais Meyer was a total waste of space as a Coach - utterly hopeless and useless - he was totally clueless and in four years the Springboks beat the Springboks easily. his fuck up wth the RWC squad in 2015 was a disaster. Losing to Japan in he RWC was a sign he was useless. Bringing bacl retirees ater he became coach is jsta sgn he had no idea about team selection. Some of his choice players had been out of rugby altogether for up to 18 months and some returned from major injuries wihout playing any matches before he nominated them in May 2015 as his squad,
One of the younger players he came near to destruction was Pollard whom he unsuccessfully tried to turn into donkey-kicking player like Morne Steyn. He was replaced by Coetzee - just as clueless - but even worse than Meyer. Both were later on fired by their clubs because they were destroying the clubs they were supposed to coach.
As to White he hold the all time record as a failed coach - he was fired 4 times due to total incompetentence as a coach in his career - always for the same reason - so he made zero contrbution to the present rugby situation. How you can claim that Meyer contributed anything to the Springboks present success is unbelievable and you should at least try and prove it - but that would be impossible.
Korn, I don't necessarily rate Snôrre as a coach, but I think the players coaching themselves story is nonsense. I think Muir and Gold should get a bit more credit, and remember, Rassie was also quite involved back then, especially in 2011...Meyer had a strong Allblack team to contend with, but I can't get over the loss vs Japan and how we played in the rest of the tournament after that...and our 1st loss vs Argentina at home nogal.
In 2011 we were knocked out in the quarters on a brilliant JdV break and pass which was ruled forward. Australia were still a force back then and we never had the front row we have today. Another ref would have allowed it on drift.
In 2015 we played perhaps the strongest AB team since readmission and lost by 2 points on poor tackles by Lomp and non defense by Dud Allende. It was desperately close, we were ahead until deep in the game,
Arguably those losses were no less convincing than our 3 one point wins in 2023.
