Borthwick moves Marcus to fullback after one of the most impressive ball in hand performances by a 10 in recent memory:

1 0
M SmithFH 0 17 8 58 1 4 1

Four defenders beaten and 58 metres….the one player who troubled the Irish.

meantime, has anybody noticed what a poor defender Earl is….7 tackles, 3 missed.

Has the Wick got this right?

No. Not looking forward to this one at all.
I think we will be looking for a new Coach soon :(

Initial side had him at 10. What stupidity.

Pathetic call moving Marcus to 15 - less ball in hand at 15

How on earth you mess around with Smith is beyond me.

All I can think of is that they might be trying to protect him. I'm not condoning it, just trying to explain it. Maybe they think Smith is their best option to counter Dupont's kicking game?

All I know is that Smith is looking good. Far better than any other 10s I've seen this season. Honestly. I do think SFM is probably better, but who knows when he'll be back and what form he'll be in.

For fun, say you're picking the form backline in the world atm...

I'm going...

9. Dupont

10. Smith

11. Lowe

12.

13.

14.

15. Fassi

Who would you guys put at 12/13/14? I'm struggling to think of players that have as much impact as those on the list.

My bias would probably see me slot Arendse in at 14. He's doing well in Samurai land. I'm stumped for 12/13 though.

Fin Smith is a good prospect. Just have to hope he’s going to have a decent game.

 I'm stumped for 12/13 though.

I'd have Huw Jones at 13 at the moment.

Agreed Pakie - Huw Jones at 13

How could be a regular in Team of the year squads if he had played for a stronger team
