I'm not sure about the make-up of the squad but I'm having a stab.

1) Ryan Rickelton

2) Matthew Breetske

3) Tony De Zorzi

4) Markram/Rassie van der Dussen

5) Markram/Rassie van der Dussen

6) Heinrich Klaasen

7) David Miller

8) Marco Jansen

9) Wiaan Mulder

10) KG Rabada

11) Keshev Maharaj

Brevis missed out.

Linde isnt in the squad

Tony de Zorzi in the middle order would be catastrophic... he battles against good spin.

our weakness is our 4 / 5 slot. Markram is so inconsistent unfortunately.

I'd rather see Stubbs at 4, Klaasen at 5 and Miller at 6.

Linde isnt in the squad

Can't believe it. Linde is playing his best cricket ever with both bat and ball sheeeeesh

Tony de Zorzi

Like his attitude, he's fearless and scores quickly

Stubbs

Not sure what to make of him to be honest I'm not impressed. Besides all that his form in white ball cricket leaves a lot to be desired

Markram

Ai!

Brevis would have given the team a leg spin option.....much needed variety.

Hey cunce

Debby, Brevis is a fuckin good talent mate. He came good in your T20 tournament didn't he!

I can't see the SA team winning this one, though i'd prefer it if they won it over those overpaid fuckin Indians!

You guys lack spin option at the moment.

It seems like your banker Shamsi has lost all of his form.

Hi Squarehead, Brevis is a good talent and then some! Tell us something we don't know, wish the boy would piss off overseas where he'll walk any side.

Never liked Shamsi, think he's all huff and puff. They stuffed up by leaving Linde out of the side, a competitor, spin bowler and a big hitter at the back end.

With the wicket favouring the bat making big scores it's become a wide open tournament. I think the Proteas are a chance.

Tx for posting, for a change it makes for an interesting chat.

Who's your pick?

Hey Debby

"wish the boy would piss off overseas where he'll walk any side."

Thats a very interesting way of putting it. But I surely believe he'll get in tot he side over the course of 2025.

He still needs to score consistently at 1st class level mate.

Seems like the ICC ratings disagree with you re Shamsi. The bloke was ranked #1 and #2 for a long time.

He's just lost some form.

Oi, my fuckin pick.... can't go wrong with Aussie mate.

I don't know about the poms but most of the sides have selection problems including Oz. Hence the reason I believe the bat will rule, small grounds, pancake wickets with no jam in sight. Favours the big hitters....the yorker or the corridor of uncertainty is the goer.

Damn the Oz one can never write them off.....they know how to win.

My team, a winning team, will not happen....Bavuma and the average Ngidi who I daresay won't take a wicket will be selected. Bavuma is too slow for white ball cricket he usually gives away 12 dot balls, I'm saying he has to score around a run a ball. Shamsi can't bat.......Corbin Bosch can so too George Linde but ja they had to stuff that one.

Afghanistan is going to be tricky, Proteas lost to them last time they played, Rashid and Noor are a mean spin combination they also don't lack pace coupled to a solid batting middle order.

This is a must win game for the Proteas.
