An important missing remark: SA rugby players' attitude.
Time wasting, attempts to slow down the pace of the game etc
All happening when SA rugby were trailing behind by 17.
Players were like shellshocked, they needed time to regroup, to clear their mind.
Psychologically, the game was brutal. A time of reckoning.

The game exposed SA rugby as players were found out unable to play rugby. They have no hint about how to play the rugby game.
The game was a repeat of the last NZ victory over SA rugby.
NZ worked to gain a scoreboard lead (in a different way than the other game, NZ is working toward the WC, they understood they need to grow to challenge NH sides)
This happened from 0 to 17.
Once a lead was achieved, they sat back, focusing on retaining the ball using passes in depth and picking up points of impact on the SA defensive line. A way to avoid pressure from the SA rugby team, it negated their forwards.
From this point on, it was all up to SA to come up with a positive offer. They had to make things happen.
And just as the last time, they were exposed. SA rugby players can not come up with a positive offer. They focus their efforts on negating the offer of the opponent. Without that offer to negate, they are left on their own and that is nothing.
This is the second time NZ relies on this strategy. NZ has learned from the last time and was careful to pace themselves properly during the first half.
The last time, SA rugby managed a come back with early replacements that would not have worked since NZ did not push themselves into the usual 25 minute fatigue level.
NZ rugby players were briefed to avoid any taunt on SA rugby players. The NZ strategy is a risk, SA rugby players are exposed as impersonators unable to play rugby, massive bruise on their ego.
They were eager to vent their frustration in a rowdy way as shown by the few opportunities they had.
