I rewatched some of the game and he was by far the worst player on the pitch. He botched lineouts, and was just getting in the way at rucks.
It would arguably have been better to have played with 14 men. 

His lack of physicality was exposed by the Argentinians who were very aggressive at the ruck. 

I don't dispute that he is not good enough for the jersey, but I do wonder if he was really the worst. He is a name that is pushed out there, but in the past, he has out-gunned all of the popular names, especially Lood! I haven't had time to watch the game yet, but I'll watch him closely when I do. It seems that this game has been a rude awakening, mostly because of this mythical 60 minutes against New Zealand. Many were ready to peddle the narrative of the Bomb Squad etc, but the reality was that NZ was more emphatically superior in that second half. It wasn't hard to see this poor performance coming. Some say it's being "too negative" etc, but I simply see it as calling a spade a spade. The Boks have 0 good performances this season. This goes much, much deeper than Orie. 

What does Rassie see in him??

What does Erasputin see in Faf, Libbok, Steph, Lood, Damian, Arendse, Moodie, Kolisi, Malherbe et al? Lets not act like this result hinged on Orie. Thor? What has he done this year? Thor was poor against NZ, Marx has done what exactly? Where is Am? Mapimpi? The list goes on. 

I agree most of the players can perform better ATM and should be in preparation for WC….but it looks like we are stuck in a extended stall pattern…we don’t look ready yet for a WC.

Orie is a complete token player

For some reason we clearly have to have one non white lock in the squad

The sooner Moerat recovers the better, he at least has some grunt and is young

Thankfully useless Orie is leaving for France - the club must have one seriously incompetent scout in its ranks
