This current Welsh side is so damn ordinary in fact it’s shit

The team we should play against Wales which will exclude UK and French based players:
15. Willemse
14. Kolbe
13. Am
12. de Allende
11. Arendse
10. Libbok
9. Williams
1. Ox
2. Marx
3. Malherbe
4. Etzebeth
5. Lood
6. Kwagga
7. PSDT
8. Roos
16. Bongi
17. Gerhard Steenkamp
18. Wilco Louw
19. Ruben v Heerden
20. Elrigh Louw
21. Nohamba
22. David Kriel
23. Moodie
I am want to see more of Moodie. I think he could be better than Arendse. Give him a shot.
That pack is worth giving a run. The lose trio has good pace and the front row could be very dangerous. Two very good locks.
You starting 15 is fine by me.
Cant see Wales beating this side.
Yes Rassie has time to make the necessary incremental changes. Rassie though has his own ideas and the courage of is convictions. He has his own view of how he is going manage the next phase of Bok rugby. Its going to be a very interesting year.
This game is a good chance to start more young guns and still win…start Ruan Nortje… Lood is not the answer going Forward due to his age and not at his best anymore….Start Cameron Hanekom instead of Stef and Wiese at 8 …make space on the bench for Henco van Wyk and Start Esterhuizen together with Am.
Or they could go with an experimental side like:
15. Fassi
14. Zas
13. Moodie
12. Willemse
11. Arendse
10. Libbok
9. Nohamba
1. Gerhard Steenkamp
2. Dweba
3. Wilco Louw
4. Moerat
5. Ruben v Heerden
6. Buthelezi
7. Elrigh Louw
8. Roos
16. Andre-Hugo Venter
17. Ox
18. Malherbe
19. Etzebeth
20. Kwagga
21. Williams
22. Sacha
23. Am
Fuck no we don’t need another bloody Mostert which is exactly what Nortje is
Jake has told him to bulk up which I think he has a little but he is still way off - at least he is trying
Ruben v Heerden, Moerat, Andre Smith, Ruan Vermaak and Ludwig are all better options than Nortje
Henco v Wyk is handy but another Jessie Kriel, he is all hussle and bustle - he lacks the soft touch, the finesse of an Am or Moodie. I hope he proves me wrong. I like him, he is nuggety - busts tackles and very good in defence. A great individual but I’m not convinced about his ability to create for those around him.
Esterhuizen plays in UK so won’t be available and if we are starting our best available side against Wales then de Allende is the incumbent and rightly so
Kwagga & Marx out injured ................... suck it up ouDawie, mighty Mostert's a cert
We have a problem at 6. Kolisi is busy collecting his pension in France and I'm not sure how far he'll get after a few seasons in the top 14 from a very demanding league.
Kwagga is injured, so it only leaves us with Van Staden. No other real open sider for the boks. Deon did his fairy tail role, but probably no longer in the bok plans.
We are spoilt at 9, some talent at 10.
Our pack is looking decent and we have enough fire power in the centres and at full back.
I wonder if he is going to go for an all out youth team against Wales. He could play a very interesting team if you look at who he picked for the alignment camps.
Will Faf still be playing or will he give Faf a break, I think he is injured too, but I'm not worried.
Then, Nohambe could be our joker, in that he can cover both 9 and 10. However, his size still worries me, although he is super quick and elusive. Wonder if we should stick with Hendricks and Williams as our next combo. Williams to come on in the last 10 or 20 minutes when there is more space for him to explode
We are covered at 6 with the likes of v Staaden and I’m a big fan of Theunissen and also think Buthelezi at the Sharks should be playing 6 not 8

So the boks will open the 2024 season with a game against Wales. It is a bit premature given that it would be the finals for the URC and Euro.
Rassie has now done this on several occasions where he capped a bunch of players only for a poor Wales team to beat a scratch together book team. I'm not sure it is worth it having a game at Twickenham.
I hate watching Wales play, especially a team coached by Gatland.
The only difference now is that Rassie has 4 years to build a squad instead of 2 years.
He also have access to some excellent young talent that has been part of the boks, not to mention some decent veterans to call on.
It will be interesting to see how he goes about getting things done
