No score after 10. Bit stormy over here to I may have to log off if it gets worse.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:00

Hi Paks

Feb 08, 2025, 19:00

Howzit Plum.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:01

Ramos misses a pretty straight kick. Not something you see every day.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:11

LOL, GOAT Anton Dup drops it with an open tryline. By Ou Maaik's Esterhuizen standards that disqualifies him from ever being considered good again.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:13

And now Penaud knocks it with the tryline beckoning. France cutting England some slack.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:14

Same as last week, England hanging in there against a superior team.

been a tad lucky though

Feb 08, 2025, 19:16

England's scrum looks better than France's

Feb 08, 2025, 19:19

Two handling errors by two of the top players in the world stop French tries.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:21

Great try by France.

It was coming for a while.

I'm not liking how England are allowing an open game.

They need to be playing the set piece game and frustrating France, but instead they seem to want to out-skill France...not gonna happen

Feb 08, 2025, 19:23

Smith again the catalyst for England, just couldn't get the pass to his man with the French dude interfering.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:25

England almost there, but as always, not quite.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:25

Nice game so far to be fair.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:27

Lawrence through at last! Should be 7.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:28

YES!!!!!!!!

A pure heart try.

Go England!

Smash the stupid frogs!!!

And all of that came from the break by Smith.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:28

That handoff on Ramos, haha.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:29

And now England can kick a deep penalty and take a lineout

Feb 08, 2025, 19:30

Penaud blocking the porn stache and that is definitely worth a penalty. Should have been red. Nobody obstructs The Stache.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:33

England absorbed a ton of pressure in that half and managed to end it even with France.

But now it's whether they will be able to find that 5th gear in the last 20.

France don't look rattled but they look far from comfortable.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:35

Yeah this is England's crunch period where they tend to fall away. I'd venture they need to score first in the second.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:46

They almost kept up with Ireland last week but for Murley...lol

That was some funny stuff

Feb 08, 2025, 19:47

BTW, Pakie...I think we watch more rugby than anybody on this site.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:52

Lol that was crazy!

End to end with plenty of mistakes but France are gonna punish England if they keep doing that.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:55

Smith isn't a 15.

He's made a few suspect kicks that have just handed possession to France.

Feb 08, 2025, 19:58

I like how Itoje has matured over the years.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:03

Yes this idea that 10 and 15 is automatically interchangeable is nonsense.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:03

Fuck, scrum penalty France.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:04

BTW, Pakie...I think we watch more rugby than anybody on this site.

Not sure, I don't watch that much. Only the really interesting stuff. I get bored quickly with an iffy game.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:05

13-7, France now drawing clear. England need to score.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:06

Dumb option from Fin back inside to Curry, he had a wall ahead of him.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:07

Try England! The kick up by Fin gathered by Freeman, steps Antontjie, scores.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:07

YES!!!!!

England hits right back after going 6 point behind.

If they slot the conversion they'll take the lead!

Smith misses it.

12-13 to France with 20 to go

Feb 08, 2025, 20:07

Eish, Marcus badly hooks the conversion.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:09

Another penalty coming for France. England need more discipline. Advantage may have cancelled it now as France attacks near the England line.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:09

And Penaud in. Easy in the end. Phase phase score.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:10

And it's Frances turn to score.

stupid frogs.

Well worked score in the corner though.

Ramos misses the conversion

12-18 France

Feb 08, 2025, 20:10

Ramos misses, 18-12

Feb 08, 2025, 20:11

The Stache definitely should have stayed wide on Penaud there, the inside man was tackled.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:13

Some great lines by England as they rumble towards the line before a misunderstanding between Marcus and Mitchell tanks it.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:14

Another hoist by Marcus Smith goes too deep. Had that come down just outside the 22 it could have been a bit of good.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:15

Fin Smith is not looking bad at 10. Quite crisp and some good timing on his passes.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:15

England showing so much dog here.

Love it.

Cumon Poms!!!

Feb 08, 2025, 20:18

Smith misses a sitter of a penalty.

Maul was the right call here

Feb 08, 2025, 20:18

Penalty England. Marcus misses again.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:19

At least they're back on France's 22 now.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:19

England perhaps just booting the ball a little too much. It's like pass, grubber, collect, pass, grubber.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:20

Scrum penalty for England this time, Fin for touch. Lineout 5.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:21

And they crawl it over, Baxter in.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:22

And England score!!!

They need the conversion to take the lead...and they do!

England lead by 1 point with 10 to go!

Feb 08, 2025, 20:22

Fin with the 2, England 19-18.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:23

The Stache makes the hit on Ramos and takes him for a walk (with a bit of help but who cares).

Feb 08, 2025, 20:23

Smith slows it down nicely with a mark.

Take your time boy

Feb 08, 2025, 20:25

A try for France but there was a big forward pass there

Feb 08, 2025, 20:25

Fuck, The Stache drops an easy pickup and France score. That's the kind of lame ass weak play that costs you games.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:26

And England trail by 6 again...

Feb 08, 2025, 20:26

A guy not willing to put his body on the line for his team needs to go.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:27

Why is Lawrence kicking!!!

KEEP THE DAMN BALL IN HAND!!!

Feb 08, 2025, 20:27

And again England grubber the ball away while attacking.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:28

This grubber seems like it has become a reflex for the England backs.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:29

England get a penalty and will go to the corner for a final lineout...

Feb 08, 2025, 20:29

And they kick it away again. Unbelievable. Lucky to get the penalty.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:29

Last chance now.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:30

Try! The line from Daly sublime and he scores.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:30

French defense didn't read that at all.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:31

FUCK YEAH!!!

England take a move off the back out the lineout and touch down under the posts!!!

England win by 1 point!!!

Feb 08, 2025, 20:31

Converted. 26-25. We will have a kickoff.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:31

What a game

Feb 08, 2025, 20:32

Dang I'm glad I watched that one!!!

Feb 08, 2025, 20:32

England win. They deserved it, fought hard for it.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:32

Yep it was a good one.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:33

This'll do wonders for England's confidence and I hope the Frogs and their crappy fans cry all night

Feb 08, 2025, 20:34

Borthwick looks 10 years younger up in the box.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:35

Great game, well done England.

Feb 08, 2025, 20:42

Nice interview with Itoje after the game.

Seems an honest chap.

never used to like him but he's grown on me.

lovely job England

Feb 08, 2025, 20:44

Scotland v Ireland is gonna be a good one!

Thanks for the company Pakster

Feb 08, 2025, 20:48

Likewise Plum.

Haha, I just realized that The Stache was played by Sleightholme today and not Murley. No matter, completely interchangeable.

Feb 08, 2025, 21:46

Feb 08, 2025, 22:45

That was a rollercoaster but we got the result in the end.
Glad you enjoyed it, chaps.

Feb 09, 2025, 00:30

Happy that you're happy becs

Feb 09, 2025, 00:55

Thanks blob :)

Feb 09, 2025, 06:20

Haha Becs...and were it not for Murley, last week could have gone similarly for you.

Thanks stomping the frogs for us.

We'll return the favour in November ;)

Feb 09, 2025, 06:42

Great win for the Poms!...and yes Plum, France used to be one of my favorite teams, but now I can't stand them...they robbed us of a RWC in South Africa and then they were poor sports when we kicked them out of their own RWC...poetic justice.

Feb 09, 2025, 12:35

Well done ENGLAND for hanging in there and showing true grid….

Congrats Becs I am happy and relieved for you guys….may there be many more:)

Feb 09, 2025, 14:28

Exactly, Draad.

If a team has cheats and bad sportsman in it, that one thing.

But when all the fans act like assholes, that tells you about the nature of the country.

I'l cheer for literally anybody to beat those a-holes.

To be fair, I have a soft spot for England and cheer for them and Ireland over other teams anyway.

Feb 09, 2025, 15:15

Thanks chaps :)

I knew you loved me really Plum ;)

Feb 09, 2025, 15:27

I don't like the Poms really, and most South Africans don't, but I like balance. That's why I'm rooting for the underdog teams and those that are there but not quite there to improve. The more really good test sides we have, the better. I take no joy in the woes of Wales and Australia, for example. It's a big loss to the world stage.

Feb 09, 2025, 15:31

Oh I know you don’t like us, Pakie :(  It’s very upsetting.

I’m just glad you’ve given credit where it’s due :)

Feb 09, 2025, 18:49

Well Becs, you lot have briefly become rather more palatable without that Farrell chappy :)

Feb 09, 2025, 19:17

Phew ! ;)
