Poor David Kriel…

….cruelly moved from inside center to 13 by Jake White, he nonetheless managed to rip the Ospreys apart and win the MOM. And Moodie who was even more cruelly moved suddenly looked like the player we have come to know. How stupid by Jake.

Apr 27, 2024, 17:03

It work very well for the Bulls…Moodie was great and if Tassels doesn’t notice Kriel now, he never will….he was excellent at 13, besides performing well at 12..,very impressed with him and Dan Du plessis.

Apr 27, 2024, 17:14

Agreed….not sure yet Kriel is top international level, but he could be. And I have always liked Dan, lots contributions in every game he plays.

Sadly injured, out for 4 mths.

Apr 29, 2024, 06:15

Rassie is in the envious position of being spoilt for choice. Selecting the right players might be a lot harder than what we think. Also think that he'd possibly have an even better squad going into the next RWC. Our WC winners could be sitting at home watching the games unfold on telly. It would seriously piss me off if he sticks with De Allende instead of one of a promising young inside center.

Apr 29, 2024, 07:13

In gonna say it for Fat Lip...

-- Shut up Denny you ignorant prick! DDA is the best 12 in the game.--

Apr 29, 2024, 07:14

Haha

Apr 29, 2024, 12:41

No one is questioning the ability of David Kriel helloooooo. He is a class act wherever he plays, be it 12,13 or 15. He has test player written all over him.

The issue here is useless Jake not showing faith in Moodie at 13, where we know he will shine and where we need him. He is the best option to take over from Am and Kriel in the near future

Forget hussle and bustle Henco v Wyk he lacks the finesse to be a true test star - he is another Jessie Kriel.

Apr 29, 2024, 13:04

Well Jake’s first job is to do well in the competition. Moodie was struggling with the transition, witness how much better he looked on Saturday. It was a master stroke, giving Moodie the opportunity to get a good game under his belt, no sense in destroying his confidence in games that the Bools have to win.

The transition may take time and Jake recognized that. Brilliant mentoring.

Apr 29, 2024, 13:19

Oh yeah great old Jake sending his B to to Saints to get thrashed so he can rest his A side at home to play Munster the following week only to lose that game as well

Real fucking masterstroke by Joke White

Moodie has not struggled at 13 at best he has been solid - he has not shone like we hoped he would but that will come with time if the fucking useless coach actually showed faith in him and invested in him at 13

Moving him to wing was zero masterstroke all it said to Moodie was that he was not cutting it there - in a position Moodie wants to play in

Jake is useless - always has been

Apr 29, 2024, 13:34

Luke Watson syndrome.

Apr 29, 2024, 13:42

Moodie is a natural wing…yes he might of played there in high school and varsity years, but now this is where he performs…so Jake was correct in his Judgement, to move Moodie where he excels…it’s common sense actually….nothing personal and no use in forcing someone in a position where he is still learning the Ropes..Tassie is all about versatility, so if Moodie can stand in at 13 if need be, is the purpose of him playing there, not because he is a star there….in the mean time Wing is his preferred position like it showed on Sat….Henco is definitely more than Kriel….so argue as much as you like, but Rassie sees it to and that is why he picked him….now David Kriel must be chosen and join the Bok Ranks.

Apr 29, 2024, 13:47

Bullshit - Moodie showed exactly what he could do at 13 against the AB’s at Twickers

If you can’t see his potential at 13 you know fuck all about rugby

Jake always gets it wrong there is no surprise there. It was Jake that wanted to move Esterhuizen to flank was it not - says it all

Apr 29, 2024, 13:49

Once again Jake was way ahead of you Dave….wear it.

Apr 29, 2024, 14:30

Jake has never been ahead of anyone - the guy is a loser

Just look at his current season debacle given the great squad he has

Apr 29, 2024, 14:52

His squad is no better than the Sharks or Stormers…just his results.

Apr 29, 2024, 15:03

His squad is better than the Stormers and Sharks squads and his record is no better than the Stormers in terms of current trophies or competition advancement goes

Apr 29, 2024, 15:14

Mpower

I think Moodie's hands are the best in the Bok squad. The kid can't seem to drop a ball.

And that's a big part of what I base my case for him at 13 on.

Also, the present abundance of Bok wingers.

Apr 29, 2024, 15:41

He does have good hands especially collecting those high balls…I think that his Defence positional play has let him down a bit at 13…It’s not that he can’t tackle at all, but overshot his man on numerous occasions in the midfield….just at the wrong place at the wrong time….but I still feel he is better creating in the back three….his size is also a bonus to off set two small wings….we will have to see how things pan out but we have very good talent at 13 that is performing….he has the size thing down for 13 and other attributes, but his defence there has not convinced me yet…Dave calls him huzzle and Bustle alone, but he is way more than that ….Henco is a Specialist 13 and that is why he is so good at his job…like Frans and Wilco at TH.

Apr 29, 2024, 17:00

Henco gives us another Jessie Kriel, Moodie gives us another Am.

The difference is the acute rugby intelligence of the likes of Am and Moodie. They are naturally gifted athletes - they glide, they are clever, they have great hands, great sense of awareness, timing, being in the right place at the right time.

Kriel and Henco don’t have this - it’s why I describe them as hussle and bustle - it’s robotic stuff. It’s effective but not mouth watering

Henco is short and stocky thanks to muscling up - so is not naturally a big guy say like Rohan Janse v Rensburg. He punches way above his weight, is a real handful, difficult to stop, always seems to beat the first defender, has a good step on him. His defence is very strong as well. I think he could make a useful backup test 13 behind the oozing class of Moodie.

Completely different players - gifted vs process player

I rate Henco but I’m not convinced he will shine at test level just like Kriel has at best been solid. It took a player like Am to make me realise just what a 13 should be. When Jessie first broke onto the scene I thought he was great, another Jacques Fourie type of player

The best rugby players have that silkiness about them - Am has it as does Moodie as does Sacha

Apr 29, 2024, 21:32

Henco doesn't have acute rugby intelligence...whahaha!!!???

Henco "another Kriel". Is it safe to simply assume, at this point, that Fat Lip is mildly retarded?

Anyone that thinks DDA is intelligent, should keep the word intelligence out of their mouth.

M, don't worry, Fat Lip still calls Wiese dumb muscle, Mostert a powder puff, and DDA the best 12 in the game.

I mean...

Apr 29, 2024, 22:08

Well Buttplug Wiese is dumb muscle but you are too fucking stupid to know what dumb muscle is

Mostert is fucking weak that’s pretty obvious

DA has made world sides of the year - fact you bald twat

Henco is another Jessie Kriel - trust that to be beyond you

My guess is that you don’t even know who Henco is

Stupid bald twat

Apr 30, 2024, 01:52

I watch all 3 of the 1 point thrillers again….and funny enough Mostert was a prominent figure in the tremendous amount of tackles that had to be made….putting that under " Process " tackles, is a insult to the man and To the Boks….anything bad you say about him, is in direct conflict with your Beloved Rassie and you are belittling his Judgement as this so called " Genius " Rugby Coach….after all , the warrior Defence and pollards boot, is what compensated for a very limited Gameplan. But hopefully that will change.

Apr 30, 2024, 01:56

'.....after all , the warrior Defence and pollards boot, is what compensated for a very limited Gameplan. But hopefully that will change.'

Agreed.
