I like the fact that Rassie announces his team on Tue. Gives us time to assess and wonder how the game will turn. I can honestly say, looks like the team is having fun and blooding youngsters. Still disappointed that we couldn't beat Ireland in Durban but then again, Willie got knocked out min 3 and the Irish were really physical.

Question is, will Rassie clear house and give all the other players a run or will he stick with the same core. There is a 2 week break before the All Blacks head to SA.

I would continue with the same settled core and then use the Argentina game to really blood new players.

Given who is in the squad, this who I think should play

  1. Steenkamp / Ox
  2. Marx / Grobbler
  3. Malherbe / Thomas Du Toit - Might as well keep the big man on the field
  4. Moerat / Etzebeth, not a fan of Moerat, but Eben needs a little break to get ready for All Blacks
  5. RG / Had a nice break
  6. Kolisi / Only plays 40 min, no need for a break
  7. BJD / Keep him going / PSTD on the bench
  8. Louw / Kwagga
  9. Williams / Reinach
  10. Sasha / Pollard
  11. Kolbe
  12. Dud
  13. Kriel
  14. Arendse
  15. Fassi / Want to see this guy get a crack, could be lethal back three.
  16. Grobbler
  17. Ox
  18. Thomas Du Toit (Would love to see him and Steenkamp pack down together)
  19. Eben
  20. PSDT
  21. Reinach
  22. Pollard
  23. Willie

I would put the old heads on the bench and go for a 4/3 split this time.

I am nt going t preicct anythng bar for the fact that Mngomozulu Feiberg will start again he fits in better in a running ball-in-hand player than Pollard.    When othe emmebers were stil talking about Libbok I was on site speaking about him as a potential Springbok flyhalf,

Beside that I foresee  that Van Staden wil not be on the bench. - he is a walking disaster as a player and his yellow card is on the same level as  was the Estrhuizen red..   He is also a disaster causing penalties against the Springboks as happened  in the Wales test and on Saturday.     We have better loosies than him and would see Smith being used as a replacement opsensider.

I agree with  you about Le Roux - he destroyed a certain try scoring opportunity on Saturdaywhen he destroyed a certain try scoring oportunity when hanging onto the ball haging onto the ball and running straight nto a defender with two players outside of him.     Muchas I lke Le Roux's playing style si concerned he is not the player he used to be becuee his pace is down substantially.    Willemse would be abck for the Springbok tests against the AB;s in SA.   or at least hope he is.

Ithink that Etzebeth .may be on the bench  - he needs some break since he was not the same level player he used to be and a rest nefore the AB matches in SA is advisable.   I in fact was surprizd by his inclusion in the squad for the Aussie test.

I do not expect much oher changes for the forwards,   So the eam  would pick is -

15      Fassie

14      Arendse

13       Kriel

12       De Allende

11       Kolbe

10       Mngomezulu-Feinberg

9         Wlliams

8         Louw

7        Du Toit

6        Kolisi

5        Snyman

4        Moerat

3        Malherbe

2        Mbonambi

1        Nche

Bench

16      Marx

17      Steenekamp

18      Du Toit

19      Etzebeth

20       Dixon

21      Smith

22      Reinach

23      Pollard.

I believe thhat it would be an excellent opportunity to replace Kolisi as an open-sider. Dixxon to replace  the 8 or the 7.

Good post, I agree with you about Willie....he bombed a certain try, he had two players on his right, didn't bother to look and cut left into traffic.

Wouldn't mind seeing our wing/scrummie and now hooker at Fullback and Edwill van der Merve in his place on the wing. Wouldn't that back three have some fire power.
