The difference dimness is that Du, TNoit made stronger tackles - Mostert is weak and the player tackled will still carry the ball forward when going diown and make sure his side gets the abll back. There is a difference though - Du Toit will try and make very difficult tackles - Mostert never does.
You have no idea about what count in rugby games - and which players perform and which under-perform - so reading your comment that Du Toit was not MOM on Saturday was typical BS on your part.
Your attacks ion Du Toit started when members criticized Meyer fro apleading with Matfiled to come back from retiruement - which Matfield did and he was extremely poor in matches he played in. He was regularly outjumped in line-outs and he failed regularly. It happened in each match against the AB's he played in.
He was one of the reasons the Springboks failed badly in the 2015 RWC and the 31 squad and Meyer's selection contained 8 players who should never have been in the squad - with the result that when used they were in the main bench players playing for a few minutes when gfames were one against minor teams. A lot of process tackling is my take. Not that it wasn’t a big contribution. But there wasn’t a difficult tackle in space in the bunch…nothing different from Mostert’s work product.
Time and again you see him shaping to try to steal the ball on the ground and being dispatched. Rugby is inclined towards hype…this one good performance this year is no exception.

Turn off the commentary…these guys are programmed to exaggerate. Watch the play and you will see the two big hits on Barrett aside they are just normal tackles and in both those instances Barrett was not engaging the tackler, but focused on something else.
As I said Dud was pumped for this game and he put in a lot of effort. Given we played only defense and he made the most tackles it was logical for him to get the MOM.
But the guy without whom we wouldn’t have won the tournament is Pollard.

So in total Dud made 46 tackles….Mostert made 47 playing 53 minutes less. If he had played three full games he extrapolates to 60 tackles vs Dud’s 46….now that’s a big engine. Especially as he doesn’t have Duds latitude in the set piece defense.
Dud missed 8 tackles, Mostert missed none. The defensive most valuable player is Mostert. 47 tackles made, none missed. Has that ever been done before.

Rassie does not count those misses as missed tackles he counts them as defence assists as PSDT usually only misses when he mistimes the rush. That rush creates doubt and hesitation with the cover defence easily able to mop up. It’s his role to rush
