Question for Dave iro Matthee at flyhalf

Let me explain something first - before anybody else on ste I was supporting Sacha as a potential Springbok flyhalf already in 2023 and last year he became the star I said he would be, In the case of Libbok I was very critical of him in the past - but this year I really changed my mind on hsi eprformances inm tests,

Now back to Mathhre as a player, I really believed he would fail against Leinster when picked by the Stormers at flyhalf. He had a reasonable to good match and scoring a good try himself in a singular effort on his part.. Since then he played in 3 further URC matches and he showed improvement n every match he palyed in. So I think that to my mind that he may becoeme a back-up player for Sacha and Libbok in future tests, To my mind he is a thinking and quick deciisonmaking that could be top class player and I beleive he may have claims to become a good back-up flyhalf by 2027.

To my mind the main reason why the other SA franchises suffer in the URC is he lack of class flyhalfs in their cases,

So my question is how do you rate Matthee as a flyhalf? .

I never thought much of him at the start but I have changed my mind on him

He has been very impressive this season - has come of age and looks a good prospect

Dave

Think so too, Is he not asted at the Stormers though? With Sacha available I think they would [rbable juggle thingsa round a bit when it coemes to flyhalf selection.

With Polalrd in serious decline Rupert may want him for the Bulls and what Rupert says counts in SA Rugby. Tht may be the ebes way to go for Matthee..
