The Newcastle Red Bulls are amping up their arsenal with the addition of Fehi Fineanganofo, a 'very quick' Olympian winger, as they sharpen their claws for a more aggressive attack in the upcoming season. The 23-year-old New Zealand sensation is set to join the squad this summer on a two-year contract after his stint with the Hurricanes. With an impressive track record of six tries in 12 appearances during last season's Super Rugby Pacific campaign and a significant impact at the 2023 Paris Olympics with the national 7s team, Fineanganofo is a promising addition to the Gallagher PREM landscape.

Fineanganofo has also been a standout at the National Provincial level, scoring 16 tries in 24 games for Bay of Plenty. His arrival is highly anticipated by Newcastle fans who are keen to see him replicate his performance on their turf.

"Fehi is an incredibly exciting talent who knows his way to the try-line. For a big guy, he is very quick and nimble and has got that real cutting edge in attack,"

noted Neil McIlroy, Newcastle Red Bulls’ sporting general manager.

McIlroy further highlighted Fineanganofo's swift ascent in New Zealand rugby, transitioning from sevens to Super Rugby, and expressed enthusiasm about providing him with a platform at Newcastle to showcase his skills.

"I’m really excited for this new challenge and opportunity at Newcastle Red Bulls, but my main focus right now is Super Rugby and NPC here in New Zealand,"

Fineanganofo said. He expressed his gratitude towards New Zealand Rugby, the All Black 7s, Bay of Plenty, and the Hurricanes for nurturing his professional aspirations, particularly through injuries and challenges.

Fineanganofo is determined to end his current season on a high note, aiming for trophies in Super Rugby and NPC before embarking on his new journey with the Red Bulls. In Newcastle, he will compete for a wing position against former Wasps standout Christian Wade and Elliott Obatoyinbo, adding an intriguing layer to the team's dynamic.

The Newcastle Red Bulls and their fans are undoubtedly eager to see how Fineanganofo's speed and agility will translate in the Gallagher PREM, potentially turning the team into a formidable force in the league.
