Returning boks sink URC teams with poor performances

What a shit show of URC games we had this weekend. We saw the lions completely tank against Beneton, although Beneton is a real good team and have important some Australian super rugby players on a short contract to help them cover some player shortages. You could see these guy playing really well.

Quon Horn, Venter and a few other players who all have won bok caps didn't really set the world alight.

Then we go over the the Stormers and our Fan favourite, Zule FM Shasha was almost a completely different player. Struggled to control the game and it was a really scrappy game but the Stormers pulled it through with Roos doing another barn storming performance. The black front rowers / props were really dominant and the one guy doesn't look that big but he seems to win at scrums. Willemse had a quiet game but probably trying to ease himself in.

Then we go over to the Saarks and we know what happened there. They seem to do okay at the scrum and that was about it. Pepsi should now be a seasoned campaigner and did nothing. Fez offered nothing. How many line outs did they lose. Hooker was the only player that can put his head up high.

Bools, don't even get me started with Pollard and Willie. Between the two of them their performance was diabolical.

One would think with all the boks back our team would be going up another level. Just wonder if they should have been eased back in or if it is a lack of game time, being part of Rassie rotation. We know Pollard has played in 6 weeks and was really poor in Eden Park. Has he lost his form and is this the decline of Pollard, we saw how poor Willie was. Why was Kriel or Moody not at 15?

Bullshit Jurenzo Julius was good for the Sharks as well

Pepsi is a quality player but that missed tackle was poor but that’s rugby for you

I like Fez and Matanzima but they have nothing to work with, with Dreyer, Orie and Vincent playing lock

Am looks out of shape to me

Bulls were very disappointing. Pollard gave them no direction. You know you are scrapping the barrel with Rudolph at 8. As for Vorster at 12 ahead of David Kriel - that sums the side up. Zak Burger lacked zip at 9

yeah, Burger was actually really good a few seasons ago but has now re-appear with no form.

I don't know where they found Rudolph. Not sure if they are pulling a Leinster where they send an under strength team up north, but think that was about the strongest team.

If you also read what I wrote, I said the Julius and Hooker should be in the Midfield and let Am work his way back into the team.

I can't believe how shocking Pollard was and Moodie was half asleep. The bulls scrum was fine and won a lot of penalties.

But I think some of team line outs let them down too.

Juju sold Edwill out with a poor pass that led to an intercept and then tossed a solid intercept pass with only Edwill's superb back tracking saving it from resulting in a try. He had a good long run with that 22 breakout and another good break, but in most other aspects of the game he barely featured or his judgment deserted him. There are glimpses of something, but he's far from a complete article. Seemed to struggle with his defensive positioning too, but that could be a symptom of a coaching shit show as the Sharks were nowhere on defense.

I think Am is done. He's looked "out of shape" since last season with play to match his shape.

But you were telling us how useless Julius is?

Rudolph comes from the Pumas or Cheetahs - one of those stop gap players - solid enough but not special - looks ancient but is 31

Juju was useless. Almost making a try but giving away one and destroying another = useless.

Juju will fade into obscurity.

Beating the opponents 34-0 indicates that the am as a whole functions well and alhough Sacha missed oo many goalkicks, But I think as average a Sacha was on Friday - the Stormers syill was b long disatnce the best performibng team of the URC teams thsi weekend, They are off to Italy for their next two matches where he ela ineraion of Willemse and Sacha will be better incorporated in the team,

I must admit as to the perfiormances of the Sharks - but not as much as what certain players were up to. The shit started in the Tight 5 wher the two mlocks were sub-par, where A m was usless at 12 - bu the Sharks ahs a problem. Hooker will be a wasted player at 12 and Esterhuizen would have been a waste of space and money anyway. The problem is that the Sharks has no real 12 available at all. m no ove- enthusiastic about Julies at all,

I gave a brekdown of what is wrong wth the Sharks and Bulls anyway, I do not like to see what happened to the Bulls and Sharks contracting as well and clearly stated that. Instad f looking at younger players like the Stormers did, the Bulls and Shaks spent money on has-beens and never-has-beens and expec a miracle to happen. The answer i simple - looka t contracting pronmising youger palyers and through cochin g develop them to become top c;ass playes, I do not blame Acjerman for what happened to the Buls cntracting. White did the dama ge and now Ackerman inherited it, ,
