It was a weekend of big hits and even bigger scores as South Africa's rugby sons made their mark across European pitches in both the French Top 14 and the English Premiership. The Saffa talent pool was overflowing with stellar performances, headlined by Joseph Dweba and Tyrone Green, who didn't just play, but dominated the scoreboards.

In the Top 14, Dillyn Leyds didn't just show up for La Rochelle; he showed off, helping to secure a 36-19 victory over Lyon. Meanwhile, Arno Botha flexed his muscles in the No 8 jersey for Lyon, and Janse Roux jumped in from the bench to stir things up. Over in Paris, Jeremy Ward sliced through the opposition for Stade Francais in their 35-12 win against Montpellier, with Joe Jonas hopping in late to keep the momentum going.

Montauban's match against Perpignan turned into a mini-South African reunion with six Saffas on the pitch. Ru-hann Greyling and Sikhumbuzo Notshe were the anchors of Montauban's pack, while JT Jackson made his presence felt by dotting down from midfield. On the opposing side, Tristan Tedder, Nemo Roelofse, and James Hall lined up for Perpignan. Bordeaux Begles' Carlu Sadie led the charge in the scrum in a decisive 41-12 win against Bayonne, with Tiaan Jacobs and Rohan Janse van Rensburg adding their weight as reinforcements.

Crossing over to the English Premiership, JJ van der Mescht helped Northampton Saints secure a 43-31 win against Saracens. Tyrone Green continued his stellar form, nailing two tries for Harlequins in a whopping 52-14 rout of the Newcastle Red Bulls. Joseph Dweba was another headline-maker, scoring for the Exeter Chiefs in their 39-12 win over Gloucester.

"It's always great to put points on the board for the team, and even more so when we come away with a win," said Dweba, reflecting on his scoring performance.

Bath showed no mercy in their 40-15 thrashing of the Bristol Bears, with Thomas du Toit leading the scrum and Franz van Wyk coming off the bench. The Leicester Tigers scraped a 36-35 victory against the Sale Sharks in what was a nail-biting encounter, featuring a robust lineup of South African talent including Hanro Liebenberg, Ernst van Rhyn, Jacques Vermeulen, Rob du Preez, Marius Louw, and Dan du Preez.

With performances like these, it's clear that South African rugby talent continues to make significant waves abroad, dazzling fans and securing victories that resonate back home.
